This place is decent is good but not great so far my favorite thing is their bento box you pick 5 small items to complete a meal so not bad and their sushi is ok I mean once you had have try good very sushi(aka kabuki in Dearborn) any thing else is so generic or ok lol but over all friendly staff and decent food family friendly and clean.

I’m picky on my general tso chicken. So picky in fact that my family hates me for it because I’ve boycotted all the Chinese restaurants in the area. But Pekin Tokyo does a pretty dang good job with it. I definitely approve. Also the bang bang chicken or shrimp are awesome. My daughter likes the mushroom soup too. Best Chinese food in Allen Park or Lincoln Park hands down.

By far the best drop in Asian cuisine around. Clean, friendly, responsible priced and really really good! Would recommend to ALL! Fantastic!

First time there today. Huge portions. Delicious egg drop soup. Sweet & sour chicken very good. Service a little slow, but nothing to complain about.

Sushi is on point, tasty and well priced. Service is quick. They could really use a liquor license so they can serve saki with their menu.

Always drive by and see the specials, the lunch special prices are too good not to try ! Tried the habachi chicken, have to say it is pretty good and the portion size is huge !! The place isn’t located great and the outside is ok the inside is pretty updated and has a modern feeling to it, will come back again.

I was hoping to give this restaurant a stellar review, but I was quite disappointed. Perhaps my expectations were set too high. The atmosphere was nice and no issue with service. The food is just fair. My husband ordered the sesame chicken and totally did not like it. The chicken was fried too hard and had a spongy texture. I order one of the bento boxes. I’ve made better sushi at home. I couldn’t taste the smoke salmon and there was too much cream cheese. The rice was blah and could have had some vegetables in it; rather plain. The main entrée wasn’t bad, but not what I expected either. The portions were small as well for the price. I unfortunately will not be returning.

Gee, dang this place is hot diggity, simply great! Kinda awesome. This is my second visit so I feel qualified to say such enthusiastic statements. Today was my second visit, I went both times on a Saturday, late lunch 1:30ish. The lunch specials are awesome, they vary both times were different, but both were hibachi. This isn’t your typical hibachi where you get a show, but food quality is close and pretty legit for $ 5.95 you get a choice of mushroom soup or ginger salad. Today was choice of chicken or teriyaki chicken, before it was shrimp or chicken with a choice of white or fried rice and of course my favorite… da da da yum yum sauce! Damn I love me some yum yum. Today we ordered apps as well, spring rolls(2) and Korean kimchi. The spring rolls at $ 2.75 yummy. The kimchi at $ 3.50. not awful. well its fermented and super healthy perhaps an aquired taste? Not bad but kinda on the fence… it’s healthy so that’s good. Overall great service, nice atmosphere, great food and the bill was under 20 bucks. To me it’s a win win! Pekin Tokyo is a gem and to boot a huge menu with many options I want to try, like the Singapore noodles as mentioned by a fellow Unilocaler. I also want to point out there is a pretty awesome sushi selection for all sushi lovers. This place rocks check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

The sushi and coconut chicken were both very very good. The building doesn’t do the restaurant any justice. It’s much nicer inside. There is not a huge selection of each type of Asian food but a wide variety of all different types. Great for a family who all like different types of Asian food. Looking forward to trying more.

Surprisingly good. Great prices. The bento box was filling for myself who usually eats a lot. Only thing that wasn’t damn near perfect was the white rice wasn’t sticky like I like it.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but friends from work said to try it. Awesome sushi and great lunch specials! The inside looks surprisingly updated and modern, and the service is great. I try to go for lunch once a week!

I really liked my Singapore Noodle and will definitely go back there to try other stuff. The pieces of Sashimi were pretty thick.

The food was great. The only thing keeping them short of five stars is that they messed up my order(gave me a sushi roll instead of General Tso chicken) I had take out but the interior looks nice. Will definitely come back.

I actually don’t like Asian food in particular, but off of a recommendation from a friend, me and the husband ventured out to this old Denny’s/Star Diner turned Pekin Tokyo. To my surprise, everything(including the Sushi) we had here was super good and in large quantities– probably the best I’ve had in a long time! The atmosphere is also nice, as well as the service. This is the only place I’ll ask to be taken to!

Yep, I’m another one. I was sent here after hearing great things about the Bento Box. It really is a great deal. The food was good and I enjoyed it. You can tell sushi isn’t their specialty, as I’ve had better, and they’re just your normal rolls. But the Chinese dishes were quite good. The interior is lovely, they really re-designed the place after the Star Diner left it looking like exactly that — a diner. You can tell they put their heart into this place. Also, props to the waitress for being able to take our entire order, two bento boxes with all different items, appetizers, soups and drinks, all by memory. I’ll admit I was pretty impressed with her. I can see myself going back, as it’s nice to see a decent Asian-fusion place downriver.

Very impressed with this place. I have been searching for a place since my go-to place Dragon Palace closed a few years ago. Service was friendly and professional, with quick drink refills. I ordered the General Tso Chicken, very tender chunks of chicken, fried to a golden brown, not greasy or soggy. The suace was excellent and reminded me of Dragon Palace. We ordered the spring rolls and a pork egg roll, both excellent and they come with some dipping sauces, hot mustard and plum sauce. Wife had the Sesame Chicken and was also very pleased with her entrée. we will surely be back to try some other dishes.

We didn’t know what to expect… walking in the door, the décor is bang on. It’s what a legit asian restaurant would look like. The Menu: there’s a great selection of food, from Japanese, Thai, Korean and Chinese. They were speaking Mandarin behind the kitchen, so Chinese would be on the top knotch side. Food: I went with the Singapore noodles. My boyfriend ordered the Calamari Prik Pow. Best Singapore Noodles I ever had. I’ve been looking for Singapore noodles that’ll rival that of the ones I get in Minneapolis. This by far is amazing, now I don’t have to fly through there for some good Singapore noodles. Calamari Prik Pow was also delish… I’ve never really had it at a proper thai restaurant, but the taste is very good. Service was awesome… not complaints… will definitely come back for different items next time. This place is the truth! I highly recommend it.(«,)
