I was a first-timer today at Volume’…and switching salons after eleven years(eeeek!). I walked in to(what should be) the standard salon front — clean, product available for sale, comfortable chairs to wait in, and someone at the desk. I checked in, was offered a beverage(a whole star just for the wine, really), and waited only five minutes after my appointment time with Ashley. I was comfortable right away. Ashley was welcoming, just talkative enough, and when I showed her what I wanted down(baylage highlights), she said no problem and went to mixing. I LOVED that. My main reason for switching salons was the constant, «Well, what about this? Welllllll, this might look better.» I could have fallen out of my chair when Ashley was like, «Looks great, let me go mix!» She was confident, rightfully so, and made my time in the chair fly by. She washed my hair out, but said she was running behind, so she was going to have an assistant finish drying my hair. Now, this is what I’m not used to… so, I was a little, «eh.» I’m coming from a small, family salon, not a place that does the«volume»(you see what I did there?) of clients this salon does, so I’m used to your stylist being with you from start to finish. Plus, what’s an assistant? Do these girls know what they’re doing? Well, turns out they do. My assistant was a girl who had her license, but just wanting to stay in the«assistant» program to keep honing her skills. She gave me a great blow out and curled it exactly how I wanted it — and then took the time to teach me(the inept) how to curl it. Ashley made sure to come by, check on my style, say goodbye, and the assistant walked me up to the front for the bill. Another thing I wasn’t used to was the price, but when you crawl out of your little hole in the wall salon to the big leagues, you pay big league prices. $ 130 for a cut, wash, style, base color, and highlights. It could have been worse, it could have been less… but it was completely worth it. My hair looks identical to the photo I showed Ashley, I was in and out in two hours, and I was offered the most delicious lime water I have ever had in my life like four times. Go ahead and make your appointment. As they say, treat yo self. Oh and a TIP: Bring cash for the tip. I’m not sure if the stylist and the assistant automatically split it, but I felt shitty leaving a 20% tip and not knowing. The assistant(WHY can’t I remember her name? Tiffany?) was good to me, even if it was only for 20 minutes, and she definitely deserved some extra.

I love this salon! I got my hair dyed and got it cut short(collar bone length) and it came out perfect. I was nervous about cutting it but I wanted something different and Ashley the stylist was really honest and nice and very friendly! She made me feel comfortable and offered me water, coffee, or wine! Say what?! This is my new favorite salon and I will not be going anywhere else but here!

I had my hair done here for my wedding and could not have been happier. Everyone knows wedding hair styling can be expensive and that is true here, but this is a place where you really get the professional technique and quality that you pay for. Kari took care of me for my trials and on my wedding day and I think it was Ashley that did my airbrush makeup… All of my bridesmaids, flowergirls, and both of the Mothers got their hair and makeup done here. We really took over the whole salon for about 3 hours that morning so I’m pretty sure all of their stylists did something on at least one of my girls. Everyone got out of their chairs looking stunning! The manager and staff were very professional and accommodating and, though I won’t have such a major event again, I will definitely go to Salon Volume for cuts, color, and event styling in the future.

I love this place! It’s more expensive than the kinda cruddy place I was going before, but it’s worth the price. I always make my appointments with Ashley and she is awesome! She has good taste and knows what is going to look good on you before she actually cuts your hair.

I went here two months ago to get a really short haircut because school was starting, and I wanted a haircut. I was assigned with a woman named Mary. I was a little nervous because I got my last haircut with a woman named Andrea(she moved, however…)-:) and am generally wary of new people, but Mary was delightful! She was very kind to me. She gave me this angled bob haircut and I wish I’d have posted a darn picture of my haircut! She was very friendly and we made light conversation.

I’ve had hair cuts, highlights and lowlights, manicures, facials, shellac, and pedicures here and have never been disappointed. The staff is warm and professional. My daughter had a birthday pedicure party here as well, and the kids prices are fantastic even though they aren’t skimping on products or experience. I highly recommend this salon.

I am new to the area and really needed a haircut. After reading mostly positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I scheduled an appointment and they set me up with Kari. Right away I felt comfortable. She took me back to her chair and I told her what I had hoped to do with my hair and showed her some pictures. She then took me to get my hair shampooed. It was amazing. Afterwards she asked if I wanted anything to drink, including a beer or a glass of wine-what?! How cool! I asked for a glass of wine and she grabbed it for me. We talked the entire time(which is unusual for me) and I was relaxed and comfortable in the salon. Everyone seems to know everyone else which I took to be a good sign because customers kept coming back! About and hour and a half later, my haircut was done. We cut off about 6 inches and she gave me exactly what I had asked for! It is amazing! The haircut and shampoo for me was only $ 35 which was a really good price. I will absolutely go back to this salon.

I went in on Saturday to get my hair and make up done for my wedding shower. I have been looking for the place that will gain my business, and I loved every bit of my experience with this salon. I was immediately greeted asking if I would like something to drink. After waiting less than 5 mins Kristen came to get me to do my hair. She took the time to really understand my personality and what I was looking for(even though I was that indecisive person unsure about what I actually wanted). My make up was done by Bre and she was amazing. I have very sensitive eyes and even though putting on my fake eye lashes and make up was a bit challenging since my eyes water alot, she was patient and was super polite. The entire experience was great and I felt even better walking into my shower knowing I looked good. I got compliments from everyone about my hair and make up, and I owe it all to this salon. I highly recommend trying them out!

I have found my new favorite place to get a shellac manicure! Carrie does a really great job, the mani lasts a lot longer than 2 weeks before any chipping even starts, it’s about as inexpensive as the other places I’ve gone to(see my previous reviews on a Nail place I go to), and I get to have a drink while I’m there. Winner!
