Z Shawarma King

I can’t give less than one star unfortunately. Every time I call and try to get delivery this place is «closed» or «closing early» even though their menu says they’re open way later. Awful customer service. Would never recommend anyone try to order from here.

Honestly I really like this place, the service is always great and the cashier is always polite and accommodates everything I ask for. no one can compare to the portions and the extremely tasty flavors. They literally have the best chicken shawarma and they aren’t in Dearborn which is great since they are so close to my house and they are halal which is always a plus.

I love this place because everytime I order over the phone they make me feel like they know me. They usually come early to deliver and there food is very good. The rice, the fries and their burgers are extremely tasty.

Disappointed that it’s advertised that they’re open til midnight everyday even though I’m here at 10:05 pm on a Saturday and they clearly have the doors locked with the open sign off. I was looking for a place that was open past 10 because I got off work late and couldn’t go to my usual shawarma place and I heard this place was awesome, but I guess I’ll have to come back at a more convenient time. Please fix your advertised hours so people don’t have to be mislead like me.

Nice little restaurant with well priced shawarma. Very friendly employees. I chose the pita option and it was very good. Only 4 dollars for a wrap and it is open til 12am which is great for late night cravings. They have outdoor seating available as well as a bar type seating area. Very cozy little store with easy in and out access on Southfield road.

With this place being only a few minutes away from where I work, I order from here at least once a week.
My favorite being the BBQ crispy chicken sub. The chicken is cooked very well and the sub is made to perfection. The best part is it’s very filling. I only end up ordering half a sub and it always fills me up.
I’ve ordered so often from there that the staff knows me and knows what I’m gonna order as soon as they pick up the phone!
Overall great food and great service.

This a great place to go for lunch. I ordered their chicken shwarma sandwich. I thought the half order would be too small so I ordered their full order. It was quite big! The chicken was really tasty, the whole combination was really good.
The service was good and fast.

The rice is so soft it’s like giving my teeth a vacation. It’s flavorful to boot.
Portions here are very large. I got enough on the «Z platter» with a side order of hummus to make three meals.
That platter came with grilled chicken, tawook and shwarma. A good mixture to try the menu.
The shwarma was average, and the grilled chicken nothin spectacular.
The tawook though, among the best I’ve had anywhere.
The platter also came with a huge order of pickled, pickled onions and a large portion of garlic sauce and pita bread.
The pita was store bought and cut into quarters, not fresh made. That’s what stops this from being a four star review.
The restaurant was much more spacious than I’d have thought based on the outside of the building, though I got carry out.
Not sure if it’s standard or an oversight but they didn’t include silverware with my take out.

This is 4 star restaurant with a 5^th star delivery. Quick and great, the price wasn’t too shabby either. Great proportions definitely will have it again.

Decided to try Z Shwarma King because they deliver, but sadly this meal left me unfulfilled and still hungry.
I got a chicken shwarma and fattoush salad, both were pretty flavorless. The shwarma was pretty dry and the salad was very soggy and bland.

Stopped in here for a quick lunch. I was a little surprised to see that a chicken shawarma was $ 7, but I gave it a shot. It was pretty good sized, and pretty tasty. A little more oil than I would have liked, but still a very good sandwich. I would probably go back to try other items. Inside the place was clean and had plenty of seating.

Food was DELICIOUS, service was mediocre, and there was a very strange moment when a asked «what country was the owner from?» (trying to nail down the style and flavor profile I could expect), and was told, «we are located in Allen Park.» (Eventually made myself clear — the answer is Lebanon.)
But the portions were good, we got a platter and a couple sides and it made 3 meals. Very happy with this place, just wish it was closer! ;)

This place is amazing! Not a bad thing on the menu and is easy on your wallet too. They are very kind, it’s good to eat in or for take out. I was looking for something vegetarian, but with a good amount of protein. So they put together some stuff not on the menu and it was amazing. Talk about great customer service. I recommend Z Shawarma King to anyone that likes great Medd food, at a good price and kind staff. Great addition to Allen Park!

This was my first time ever having a schwarma sandwich and all in all it was alright, I’m not a big fan but it wasn’t bad. Now for the 2 star rating. I placed a delivery which was a sandwich an order of onion rings and a small mango smoothie $ 19 now I don’t mind paying top $$ for food as long as it’s worth it. This however was not worth $ 19 the sandwich itself was decent, the onion rings were generic nothing special the portion was decent but this «smoothie» was god awful it tasted like milk banana and ice chunks, wasn’t even a taste of mango. On top of that it wasn’t even a smoothie there was ice chunks floating in this thick liquid. I will say I’ll probably never order from here again due to the lady on the phone alone. She was rude and disrespectful snotty and just not customer friendly. So yeah all in all count this fat guy as out for this place! To bad cause I work long hours at my shop and order lunch/​dinner almost every day. I could’ve been a great customer. Ah well.

I made a carry out order for a mixed shawarma and a small order of hummus. The shawarma was pretty good maybe just needed the arabic pickles because I dont recall tasting any in mine still good though. There was an even mix of meat & chicken no complaints there. The hummus was a good portion and I seen someone else say that there is too much oil in the hummus here. There was more oil than I have ever had at other places in this hummus but personally i didnt mind it it did however thin and liquify the texture. The slices of pita bread here were standard but itd be better if they had little baggies instead of wrapping it up in plastic wrap. This was my first time and I thought it wasnt bad and If Im in the area Id definitely come here again.

It’s clean and updated inside. The service is nice. I love a shawarma sandwich. It’s the only thing I’ve tried here though, so I can’t say much for anything else. It’s a rather big menu that expands outside of middle eastern cuisine. I remember seeing lots of american deep fried appetizers.
My only complaint is that in my three visits here, the shawarma hasn’t been consistent in size or taste. The amount of garlic paste and chicken varies. The taste, however, is always good.

Place is nice and clean, but the food really blew it for me.
I ordered the Grilled Chicken Platter that came with rice, I thought it would be chargrilled, because that it pretty standard for these types of places, instead it was cooked on a flat top grill, even though they had a char broil grill clearly visible in the kitchen. The chicken breasts were really thin, and covered in a reddish sauce/​marinade. The taste was just alright and the portion of chicken was pretty small for the price. Came in the box with a big glob of garlic sauce and pickled beets and pickles. Pita included was the standard thin pita you can get at most E. Dearborn bakery’s.
The rice was some of the worst I have ever had, It was a deep yellow color and tasted like it was cooked in a really salty chicken stock, I am used to the rice pilaf with almonds that is pretty standard at most Middle Eastern places. I would rate Rice a roni better than this mess.
Also ordered a small hummous that was loaded with oil and way to over powered with lemon juice. you could not taste the garbanzo beans at all. Also found several big hunks of raw garlic in it.
Over all very disappointed in the food, even took the leftovers over to my parents house and they tasted everything and agreed it was pretty awful and we ended up throwing the rest away.

The schwarma sandwiches and salads kill it! Every time I’ve ate here the food was hot and tasted fresh. Glad this place opened up.

Fast, friendly service, great food, late hours, AND they deliver? What’s not to love? I was so excited to see this open as I live in the neighborhood and have been looking for a local spot to fulfill my middle eastern cuisine cravings. The chicken shawarma sandwich is spot on for quality and taste. I prefer my hommus with a bit more garlic so I make sure to order an extra side. The staff is very friendly (and generous!) and made me feel comfortable and wanting to come back! Definitely an A+ here.

Tried something new today, Chicken Shawarma from Z Shawarma King! Great Flavor, Fast service and Great Prices How can you go wrong. The young lady who took my order was very knowlegeable and very helpful. Oh and they deliver too!
