5 stars for yumminess. Wow — it’s really tasty Tiki Masala. We always get take out. We’ve never had problems. We are in and out quickly. Friendly people. Tasty dinners when I’m in a pinch. This place is a keeper. If you haven’t tried this place— you should!

Homestyle cooking, not spicy at all. Decent selection of veggie items as well. The place is neat and has some kerala style dishes. The Naan was great Not recommended for people who love spicy food and a big selection of dishes.

The culinary style is on the spot with respect to authenticity. As the name(and the regional cuisine implies) there is an emphasis on coconut but nothing is short changed — the few northern Indian dishes were equally satisfying. The restaurant did many other things for us to feel genuinely welcome. Will certainly do patronize the place again when we are back in Allen(from Houston) next time.

Love their lunch buffet! It’s so reasonable too at $ 7.99. Really is a deal. The buffet is Monday — Friday and they close at 230 pm. Then reopen at 500pm for dinner. What impressed me about the restaurant was how clean it was. Also appreciate that the owner Bony or someone else is always at the door as a greeter. You pay before you eat BTW. It is self serve and they ask that you get a new plate each time you return.(This should be standard practice everywhere). They quickly bus the tables when then notice you are returning for seconds. The buffet had a nice selection of varies North and South Indian cuisine to pick from. With varies coconut and curry dishes being offered. They bring you a basket of pipping hot nan to soak up the delicious sauces or you can just eat the nan as it is! Everything had just the correct amount of spice.

I’ve only tried the biryani and very very confused about the raving reviews. Maybe their curries are better or the buffet is on point. But steer clear from the Biryani. It’s the most bland mess of a rice I’ve ever had, which is an oxymoron considering it’s supposed to be extra flavorful rice. And it’s SO expensive. I paid $ 12.99 for lamb biryani. I could get the exact same item in Richardson for half the price, and it would have tasted a million times better. Again, I don’t know about other items in their menu, but skip the biryani.

My husband’s Indian coworker suggested this place for the fish curry. I’ve never had fish at Indian’s restaurants so I think it’s a good idea to try. We wanted to order red fish curry but the waiter warned us it’s very very spicy. My husband do not want to not able to taste anything. so we followed the waiter’s suggestion to get the Kerala Fish Masala instead. This fish curry has enough kick but you can still able to taste the fish and other ingredients. We asked the waiter/owner about the spice level of that red fish curry, he said it’s double spiciness of the Kerala Fish Masala! We also ordered Puttu with Chicken. Puttu is new to me. It’s steamed cylinders of ground rice layered with coconut. I can definitely taste the coconut. The chicken curry that comes with it is very tasty too. I was a bit disappointed that mine doesn’t come with either appam or paalappam. In their menu it said entrees served with either a side of those. Anyways, a very good Indian place to try if you want something special other than the regular items e.g. chicken tikka masala ;)(They also have this!)

This was my first time trying Indian food and I wasn’t scared away. At first my boyfriend and I were pretty overwhelmed with the menu since it was hard to even imagine what the food would taste like but a super sweet lady(maybe owner or chef) came to our rescue and explained popular dishes and what’s the difference between southern and northern food. We decided to try one from each and got the chicken tikka musala and the peppered goat fry. They informed me the goat fry would be very spicy. I was hesitant at first but I love spicy food that I decided to give it a shot since I know Indian spices or different from Vietnamese or Thai spices. When our food arrived it looked delicious! I ate a little of everything and I have to say the goat fry was really tasty with the garlic nan! I was kind of disappointed that it wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be. If anything I would want it more spicy! The chicken tikka was good as well but I think I prefer more dry than the wet ones. I think the next time I go I’ll try the lunch Buffet so I can try a little of everything. On another note the mango lassi was alright it definitely had a different taste I didn’t expect and it was a lot smaller than what I saw on Unilocal.I wouldn’t spend another $ 4 on this. Long story short, service was great just don’t be shy to ask questions or even let them know you’re ready to order. i had to flag down our waiter. Food was delicious I would definitely go again.

This restaurant serves traditional food from southern Indian region, called Kerala. This state is also known as Venice of India, they have backwaters and channels on which you can take river cruise. The food I ate was Kerala fish curry, putta, pallapam, appam, all of it has distinct spices and preparations that stand out from regular North Indian food that most Indian restaurants serve. Use of Coconut based curry and fermented rice dishes are unique to Kerala food. This restaurant is in a strip mall and does not standout while driving by bug it’s highly recommended if you like traditional food and want to explore authentic southern Indian cuisine. They have chef who use to work with Taj Hotels in India and grew up in the state of Kerala. If you like Indian food this is a place that you must give a try and try dishes marked traditional kerala. If you think of cool Thai curries and Indian spices this place is quite interesting.

This is really good Indian food! We ordered take out; Chicken Tikka Masala, and Goat curry, extra butter naan, and samosas. We picked it up 20 minutes after ordering, and it was still hit when we got home. Just enough heat, and the flavors were really strong, and authentic. Complex but so satisfying, I had 2 plates even though I really to stop at 1. The portions feed three of us, and there some leftovers. This is now our designated spot for Indian, if you haven’t been, you really need to make a point of doing so.

Started with the samosas which were great. Three to an order and very tasty. Ordered the butter chicken and lamb rogan josh. Both were so good in their own right. The lamb was full of flavor and spices but not in a spicy kind of way. Garlic naan was the way to go on the bread front. Service was prompt and sweet.

I have been to this place for the first time. I can see extremely nice people working here. Such a warm welcome to all that come in and a nice farewell when you leave. Very clean and very spacious. We tried Puri with potato bajji, Kerala thattu kada style parotta with goat fry, chicken tikka and garlic naan and the food was served hot and it tasted really delicious. Our waitress was perfectly sweet and helpful. Great… We liked it.

4.5 stars. Hands down, my favorite Indian restaurant in the DFW metroplex. They serve a number of South Indian dishes that taste like home. It’s best to go during the lunch buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. They keep upping their buffet game each time we go. Today, for instance, they had chicken 5 ways(tandoori, Kerala curry, stir fry, sukka, and tikka masala), fried fish, pakora, several vegetable dishes including an awesome mixed vegetable curry, mutton biryani, several rice dishes, appam, salad, and a few other items. Every buffet is served with fresh naan(with refills) and a fountain drink. I’ve also ordered lassi’s in the past which are good and incur a $ 4 extra charge. For dessert they usually have rice pudding and gulab jamun. The cost for the buffet is $ 13.99 per person and a great value for your money. Highly recommended. We look forward to catering from here in the future. Meat and vegetarian friendly. Would say that this is not a place for vegans.

This place… just… yum. Like really, seriously, totally, yum. Whether you’re dining in or taking out, this place is great. Definitely tastes better in store, so if you have the chance, I do recommend dining in. I’ve ordered both dine-in and take-out and I’ve never been disappointed. The restaurant has been expanded and now is a nice size, and since the remodel, I’ve never seen it full. They do have a buffet for lunch, which if you’re not familiar with Indian Cuisine, I recommend you start with the buffet, get a taste of everything. Start with the Samosas, two to an order and very filling. We like to do things family style, where we get a few entrees and share them. And, bonus, we almost always have leftovers. Saag Paneer, always delicious and they have several types of Paneers, with their wonderful jasmine rice. {obsessed} The Lamb Korma is my favorite, so creamy, flavorful and delicious. The Chicken Tikka Masala is a must, and don’t forget your Naan, {you will have garlic naan dreams} I used to drive about an hour to get delicious, great quality Indian. Since this place has opened, I now have a new favorite place for Indian ANNNNND it’s closer. Talk about your win-win.

This place no longer has weekday lunch buffets but I can still highly recommend it. Instead, on weekday lunches, they offer yummy thalis! The smaller veg one is just $ 6.50. North Indian thalis cost $ 8 veg or $ 10 non-vegetarian and come with rice, nan, and papad as well as a desert. Kerala thalis are also $ 8/$ 10 and the non-vegetarian includes two fish dishes.

I tried the buffet today at lunch, and it didn’t impress as much as the a la carte items from my original review. The selection was pretty good, and the food tasted OK, but it just didn’t knock my socks off. Goat curry was fairly tasty, and the chicken tikka masala had a sweet note but balanced it with good tomato flavor. A paneer dish featured firm paneer, but I wish it had had a little more flavor. It’s still a good buffet for the price, though.

As I continue my journey into Indian food, I brought my Indian friend as a tour guide this time. We had the lunch buffet, and it tasted GREAT to both of us. There were plenty of options. Fried onions, a fried dough that tasted like those sugary Chinese donuts at buffets, and chicken tandoori were at the front followed by different curries and saucy meats. My favorites were the paneer makhni, which is cooked cottage cheese in a delicious sauce, and the tikka masala — a safe and tasty go-to. Some of the main dishes had a good punchy bite, but nothing overly spicy(with the exception of the okra dish). All in all, everything was really great. They had some interesting desserts at the end of the buffet line with a fried dough ball and cheese ball soaked in simple syrup. The dough ball was very interesting and very tasty. It looked like a purple potato, but it tasted like a funnel cake saturated with maple syrup. It was a warm dessert, and I kind of wish I had some ice cream to go with it. Service was great — friendly and fast. Make sure to ask your waiter for some naan with your meal. A table behind us got what looked like a fried crêpe to dip in their vegetable soup, but I didn’t catch the name of it. My water cup was always full and the bathrooms were very nice, except for the janky door. We’ll be back.

4.5 actually. The service and ambiance were above average making the waitstaff appear a bit out of place in their jeans; but lets get to the importance of the review… the food! My Chicken Tika Masala was a bit over spiced although nothing I could’t handle and the chicken pieces were cooked to perfection. The accompanying rice was flavorful but I could have done without whole pods of cardamon. Naan was above average, hot, fresh and fluffy with slightly charred areas(Mmm!). Oh yes, I will be back!

I’ve ordered here often for takeout, what a great pleasure to see they now offer in house dining. I came in for lunch and tried the buffet, what a great meal. The curry chicken was yummy, the tikka masala was incredible and there was a steady supply of Naan. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. This place is a great addition to Allen, it’s good to see the food offerings diversify. They were super busy, yet catered to each person. At one point someone came in attempting to sell flowers. They were nice and said come back later. I appreciate their kindness and great treatment of others, it shows the place is run by good people. I will dine here often, super impressive addition to an already super impressive place.
