We’ve always taken cars here in the past and I felt they were fair and fast. However, recently there services and prices have skyrocketed. We took it in for the two rear disc brakes on a 2012 Ford Explorer. They said they’d look at it and let us know a price. An hour or so later we’re called back and given a quote for $ 980!
They wanted to replace both calipers, pads, and rotors on the back and do a «line flush.» Run away if anyone recommends a line flush on a newer car, if you don’t you may as well get your headlight fluid changed too. When I balked at the price it was lowered to $ 480 by taking away the «line flush» and calipers. At that point I decided to pick the car up and do it myself. Well, my wife needed her car back ASAP, so we decided to call around. We wound up at the Ford dealership and did pads and rotors for just a little over $ 360.
It’s unfortunate, but I feel like they wanted to:
a.) Do «work» that wasn’t necessary and charge an exorbitant amount. Honestly, that was a red flag for me at that point. I am not even sure they’d would have changed the calipers or flushed anything anyway, but perhaps still charged for it. Anyone that will over quote needed work is not honest, they’re looking for money; And
b.) Even when they came back down to the «real work» (pads and rotors) they were much, much higher than everyone else called for the same work. They were at least $ 75 more than every other place I called in and around Allen!

Horrible service. My car was there for over 5 hours to check brakes and tire pressure and I had to eventually call because no one called me like they said they would. Was quoted $ 380 over the phone for two back tires with alignment (!!!). Also quoted $ 485 for a master cylinder replacement and was told that it was pretty urgent that I get it done. I declined all services, thankfully, because when I showed up and was handed my quotes on paper, the tire replacement had somehow jumped up to $ 590. FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETY DOLLARS for TWO tires!!! A bunch of stuff had been added into the quote that were not talked about with me, nor were they what I brought my car in for. The quote for the master cylinder jumped up somehow to $ 628 on paper. My car was not ready to go when I got there to pick it up, even though I was told it was ready any time and it had been there for over 5 hours already. Took it elsewhere and got two brand new tires with alignment and warranty for 200 bucks. The new tires fixed the break «issue» I was having, but took to a mechanic to get the brakes checked out anyways and guess what? My master cylinder does not need replacing, and if it did, it should cost around $ 2 – 300. I believe they were trying to take advantage of a young female at their store and they thought I was an idiot and would agree to their services. Take your car anywhere but here!

My dad has been going to goodyear for as long as I can remember and when I started driving I started going there as well, but the allen location has ruined the good name of goodyear. For example I went to this location looking for a oil change and an alignment and the guy who took care of me gave me a «are you stupid it’s a week day» look. A second off I went in 6 months ago for a routine alignment and manager Tim Frost tried to tell me I owed $ 236 then after arguing with me about it he realized it was the wrong car. Those are one of the many reasons I will be taking all my future buisness to Christan Brothers Automotive. They have so much better customer service. I will telling my friends and everyone I know to not go to this location.

We take all of our cars at this Goodyear for state inspections and car repairs, and they have been wonderful to deal with!

I just had my first experience at this location, and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had in any auto repair shop. The service manager, Dipesh Bava, was very rude and unprofessional. He argued with me that my tire was not under any kind of warranty, and proceeded to flip me off when I wouldn’t accept the false information he was giving me about my tire warranty. I took my car 3mi down to another Goodyear and they found me in the system instantly and confirmed that my tire was under warranty. Needless to say I had to call head quarters and report Dipesh Bava for flipping me off and arguing with a customer. If I could I wouldn’t even rate this location one star. Absolutely do not recommended going here for any service.

After making the mistake of allowing Lonestar Valet Parking to park my car at The Medical Center of Plano, I ended up with a drivers side window completely rolled down and stuck. This despite my telling the valet to NOT touch the windows. Over the course of the next week I took my car to several mechanics/​repair shops. NONE would look at it without charging at least a $ 90 «estimate». So, I stopped by here expecting to hear the same story. But NO! The gentleman at the desk called a colleague over and they proceeded out to my car. Less than 5 minutes later they were back and the window had been rolled back into place. Best part? I was not even allowed to finish asking how much I owed them for their time, before being told there’d be no charge. So deep appreciation for their assistance. And to make me feel better, I bought a set of windshield wipers. Which I’ll hopefully be needing this weekend.

Went in to get my front driver-​side tire replaced after it went flat because it was separating. Tim was VERY helpful, and offered me coupon deals that I hadn’t even asked about. They fixed exactly what I asked for, and Tim showed me a separate sheet with quotes of recommendations. He explained everything in layman’s terms, and even numbered the things suggested for me in order of priority. Offered me the same coupon deals for when I come back, and told me he’d find a coupon for one of the more expensive things that I need fixed.
The waiting room and bathrooms were clean, so that’s an added bonus.
I’m not sure why this place has such a bad rep, I have zero complaints for this place! Thank you, Tim!

Took our car to get the brakes inspected. Cost us $ 24 just for a look. Then the next thing was new rotors, calipers, and pads, $ 1200. Tried to tell us that the calipers weren’t releasing causing uneven pad wear. Well, with a second opinion from a more reputable company (free), it turns out that the particular make of car has variable braking system causing normal, uneven pad wear in the back. Funny, Goodyear didn’t know that? The labor cost alone from Goodyear was more than the whole job from Christian Brothers. If there was a zero or less, I’d give Goodyear that. Always did think they were crooks, this just proves it! Be careful and don’t always take their word as the truth.

Nothing special for this place other than $ 19 oil change they are offering right now. It took 3 hrs just to change the oil, BTW.
I guess I shall give them an extra point for being able to take appointment online. It doesn’t guarantee time you gonna get your car back though.
