Been coming to this location since it first opened and never had anything bad to say about the place. Their food is consistent(and delicious) and the restaurant itself is always immaculately clean. The staff are always friendly, and very occasionally have been known to slip an extra tender or some fries into your order.

Always get great service. Great chicken and corn nuggets. Catfish is good too. Best sweet tea.

Hands down, the freshest, flakiest, and mildest-tasting catfish I’ve EVER had! French fries are always good and salty. Rolls are sometimes undercooked but probably due to high demand. Chicken tenders and pieces never fail to satisfy. We usually use the drive-thru as this place has a dining room on par with an old Dairy Queen(not like the NEW one across the street!). I got hush puppies and cheese sticks with my catfish too but they aren’t worth mentioning. Green beans were decent. Nice enough service in drive-thru but NO sauces put in for fish — even after I verified there were at the window. Will continue to hit this place every few months or so.

Chicken is so so. Livers are quite good and prices are reasonable. The main reasons we no longer go there is that the restaurant is so cold inside that I would need blanket and winter cap just to be able to eat there and there are always kids hanging out in there who are loud and disruptive. We complained about the cold temperature a couple of times but were told that the kitchen staff gets really hot and they need it cold. So much for caring about your customers’ comfort.

Food was good, wish they still had Texas Pete hot sauce. The only issue with this trip is that the management needs to do a better job of not letting kids hang out here, as is no good not eating they should ask them to leave and not be so rude and disruptive to the other guest.

Chicken Express is awesome. The tea, the rolls, the gravy… but this location is AWFUL. I keep going back in hopes that they’ve finally found decent management but it just isn’t happening. Either they are out of something or they’ve served something that wasn’t done or they confused tenders with gizzards. They’re nice enough if you call to have it fixed but they just can’t get it together. If I had several hours to sort out dinner, I’d fry my own chicken!

I am not going to write about their food… some of us already know it isn’t anywhere close to quality. 1. Ordered a 7 piece chicken meal. 2. Out of every sauce except Ranch. 3. Charged me $ 0.25 for an extra sauce after 2 sauces. a. Since they were out of all the other sauces, shouldn’t they be more liberal in the only one they have? 4. Hiring kids that look like dopers — BAD! a. Make them at least look like they bathe. I said MiMi’s café and Bennigans would die(and they did), so will this place.

Ate here today and it rocked my world!(in a good way) chicken was good and juicy. Fries were good along with mashed potatoes. Washed it all down with a good sweet tea! Keep up the good work !!

Well… hadn’t been back for a long time thinking. MAYBE just MAYBE they had improved over the last few months and NOSUCHLUCK! My 7 piece chicken tender dinner with double okra was a joke. Chicken was stale, the okra looked like a single order(one bag had about 6 pieces in it and the other bag had about 20) needless to say I feel totally Ripped off again! I wish I would learn my lesson with this place! If husband wouldn’t have needed lunch so bad I would have returned it in a heartbeat. Never again!

Great deal on the #25 Family Pack! Tender chicken and white gravy dine just right. Love the fried okra!

I’ve had Chicken Express a couple times and it seems like it lack consistency in terms of the chicken. One of the first times I had their chicken(earlier this year, 2012) I thought it was crispy, flavorful, and not overly oily. I picked chicken up here over the weekend and it was less than stellar. The breading on the chicken was mushy and the chicken felt oily. The fried pickles were good, tho. I get the impression the chicken might not have been cooked properly as the next day my wife and 3 year old were both having digestive issues and that was the common thing they ate. In terms of price, a family meal 20 chicken strips, rolls, gravy, and a side is about $ 24. I added another side and 3 fried pies, also good, and it was about $ 30. Overall, I’d skip the chicken but the sides and pies are good.

0 stars for this place. Their chicken is gross. They inject some nasty solution in it to make it moist… yuck!

This place is growing on me…, when they first opened I wasn’t too impressed bit now. A couple years later i find myself coming here more and more. Sweet tea and fried pickles are always good things to have on a menu :)

We had a family pack here which was plenty of food. I agree with the previous posters that this is more expensive than other locations, but the quality was fine.

Brand new location just opened in Allen within the past couple of weeks. Phone number is not listed on corporate’s website yet. Saturday afternoon. After a late night of martinis, food, cheesecake and the Sex and the City movie. I was all about being a bum. I was hungry, but the last thing I wanted to do was exert enough energy to walk into an establishment or even put something in the microwave. I decided to drive around Allen and see what I could find in the manner of drive thru fare. I saw that Chicken Express had opened and I figured why the heck not. After driving up and perusing the menu for a minute, I was completely tempted to drive off. Why? PRICES. $ 5.69 for two pieces of DARK meat chicken, a drink and a side? SERIOUSLY? I could get twice that amount of food at both Church’s and KFC for less than that. I went ahead and ordered a 2 piece«Chicken and Roll». $ 4.00 with tax. Ridiculous. To top it off. I was violently ill that night and I think it was the chicken. Save yourself some money, and the lining of your stomach… go get chicken somewhere else.
