The food is very similar to the one back in Ny. I have been a few times. Once my wife did get a stomach bug but not 100% that was from the food. The large issue is that it looks like they have taken a stand against basic states rights. I just won’t go to a place where you are not allowed to protect yourself or your family. It is the only shop in the area that is posted. Sorry guys.

Absolutely love this place, Great atmosphere, great location, and great staff. The pizza itself is delicious. If you like thin crust pizza then definitely try this place out. Their side to-go area is very convenient. I have only tried the Tiramisu for the desserts and it was good. Not the best I ever ate but satisfactory. Inside can get very loud because it is a smallish area but the waiters are quick and very kind.

Giving it 3 stars strictly based on service. The food is amazing! If you don’t mind waiting forever and dealing with the gossiping teenagers up front, that like to randomly disappear to talk to their friends, then I would definitely recommend eating here! Their pizzas are delicious and the bruschetta trio is very good! If they would train their hostess staff a little better, and bump up the customer service, it would easily be 5 star worthy.

Grimaldi’s is a great place for pizza and it’s by far their specialty. We are regulars when we have the patience to wait it out for a table. The service is generally good and attentive however lately it seems like to-go orders are interfering with the efficiency of the kitchen and oven. It is amazing to see how many to-go order are being cranked out if you watch the process up at the bar. If you have an aversion to kids, avoid the restaurant before 8:00 pm, otherwise just focus on the pizza… have another beer… and try to tune it out!

Great pizza… but be prepared to wait a long time for your order. We’ve been here on three different occasions, and on each they were very slow in getting out pizzas. Need to step up the service a bit, or ramp up capacity.

Amazing food and excellent service. Grimaldi’s is a definite must if you have never been there before. Their brick oven pizza is made with fresh toppings and the cheese is amazing! You need to check it out.

Love this restaurant! One of my favorites in Watters Creek, and some the best pizza! We made a reservation almost a month in advanced, as I was throwing a surprise birthday lunch for my friend! There was a group of 10& when we got there our table wasn’t going to be ready at the exact time we reserved for, but it was only about 5 minutes later. Our waitress was super sweet, and patient with ordering even though we had a lot of people. The surprise worked and the birthday girl had a great time! We all ordered personal pizzas, and I got it with pesto sauce. The pesto was absolutely AMAZING! The red sauce is really great too, but for something different get pesto. Also, very great great vegetarian meals, and I’m sure the pizza could be made vegan with no cheese & extra veggies on top! Really love the location also, so pretty and good to sit outside when the weather is nice!

Came here to meet some friends and food was really good. Ordered a spinach salad and a pepperoni/sausage pizza(NY style). The service was not that great but the atmosphere was. A little pricey on the toppings; $ 3 – 4 per topping. So a $ 14 pizza turned into a $ 24 pizza because of the toppings. Would return again though.

Become a member and you’ll get the voucher for a free large pizza with one topping. That’s enough to get me coming back at least once a year. It’s located inside the Watters Creek shopping area so parking can be a hassle at times. But they have the texting system so you can go shopping while you’re waiting. I think that’s the best thing ever. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, so make a reservation. They have indoor, bar, and patio seating. During the warmer months when they have live music out in the patio, it’s nice to sit out in their patio for dinner. My husband and I are a fan of making our pizza with pesto and meatballs. We will also get a small Caesar salad too. We usually can’t finish the large pizza, but we take it home to go. It’s the thin crust style pizza but it tastes uberly fresh. And they cut it into huge slices! Can’t wait till it’s someone’s birthday.

Don’t.forget the mid-day coal change out! No pizza from 3 – 5! Excellent pizza and amazingly fresh toppings. I’ve had several different offerings here, none have disappointed.

Best pizza in the Dallas metroplex. If they can get different hostesses, I’d give them 5 stars. Do us a favor, hire more competent hostesses or send them to courtesy school. Give them a Cat in the Hat by numbers book so they can accurately give you seating times instead of «an hour and a half» every single time we go there.

Unilocal did not let us down, this place was delicious. The husband and I came in for my birthday carb cheat meal. I’m so glad we followed your«knows,» which lead us to the Grimaldi’s location in Allen. Tonight was the perfect night to be out on the patio in North Texas. I was a bit surprised by how busy they were at 6:30 on a Wednesday, so we were seated at one of the only three remaining tables inside. As soon as you walk in you get the«movie New York» vibe with the brick, music, and art. No surprise there really. The smell is what surprised me the most, HEAVENLY! When our waiter Chase approached us we were ready to order, but were surprised at the choices for pizza so we listened to some of his recs. They had quite a bit to choose from, chef selection vs. typical a la carte toppings. I always smile when I see bacon as a topping ! We settle on the Bruschetta appetizer and Quattro Fromaggio w/sausage and pepper for our main course. The Bruschetta was good, the bread could have been thicker, but it was crunchy and seasoned perfectly and was loaded with tomato, artichoke, and mushroom. The pizza was delish. I loved the cheese and my husband can honestly say that the sausage was some of the best he’s had on pizza. Chase brought up dessert which I wasn’t going for, I had my heart set on froyo at another location, but when he talked about how the cheesecake was made in house and the Reece’s selection was seasonal and quite popular we settled on the dessert trio. I’m so glad we did, it was a hit. Everything from the service to the ambience was perfect. I can imagine this place can get pretty crowded on the weekends, so a weeknight is probably a safer bet. You can also get your pizza to go!

They have a prosciutto arugula pizza that’s just for a limited time and it was delicious! Prosciutto was nice a salty and the addition of arugal and cheese balanced it out!

Don’t come here expecting a varied Italian menu. It’s basically pizza and not much else. Do come here to expect great NY style pizza. It’s not Grimaldi’s in DUMBO, but it is pretty darn close. You can almost close your eyes and pretend you’re eating in Brooklyn. Service is pretty good, though it could use better follow through(check up on us and refill our drinks more often). You can also get pizza to go by calling ahead, but parking is a bit of a challenge around Watters Creek. The pizza travels well and will still taste good once you get home, although once, it didn’t even make it home because we ate it all in the car.

Read if you want to witness bad and incompetent service. And insult to injury. Ordered a half white/half Brooklyn pizza over the phone on 12/3, came there 30 mins later and the bartender told me there was a miscommunication between her and the girl working the entry. They didn’t put in the order at all and are going to work on it now. Ok, I get it. It gets worse. — had to wait another 30 mins for the pizza to be made — ordered a wine: normally, if the servers forget to put in an order, they usually comp this or pour generously. Didn’t happen. — girl working entry then asks me and my best friend if we wouldn’t mind moving down the bar. For no reason. While we’re waiting for the pizza that she and the bartender forgot to put in. The kicker: — got the bill for my half and half pizza. The large Brooklyn is $ 24, the large white is $ 18. Normally, you’d charge $ 24 for the higher priced pizza as part of a half. The bartender charged $ 18 for the white pizza ANDEACHADDITIONAL topping to make the Brooklyn. Taking my total over $ 33 for a normally $ 24 pizza. Really, Grimaldi’s??? I love your pizza and rave about it to colleagues, friends, etc but this experience really left me with a bad taste in my mouth(no pun intended).

I’ve been here a couple times now. First time 5 stars too-went in the evening, it was busy but service was great and food was excellent. We’ve been to the one in NYC too, so this has big shoes to fill. Second time around we had Crystal as a server. She was very efficient and did checks on us. Great server, only suggestion would be to smile. :) We asked for feedback on whether we needed a small or large salad. She suggested small, and she was spot on. Mediterranean salad came out quick and it was super good. Great portion for a small salad, even though the bowl seemed small. Crystal filled our waters consistently and often, and even offered to switch out our salad plates for fresh ones. I’m always impressed when servers offer to do this, especially in the mid price range places. However, our pizza took quite a while to come out this second time. We went on a Sat afternoon around 3pm, so while there were people there, our first time there was much busier and food came faster. However, we were sitting at the high top table right next to the oven so could see everything happening, and it wasn’t b/c the pizza guys weren’t working — they were busy. So maybe it was just busier than it felt. Crystal did notice this and in the same breath I asked her to check on it, it came out of the oven. That being said, when it did arrive, it was fantastic. Piping hot, dough was nice and chewy and crispy. If you are a deep dish fan, this is not the place, but if you love a solid thin crust pizza done to perfection, this is your place. I then ordered dessert to go(they make their desserts in house and had a seasonal pumpkin cheesecake — and I’m a sucker for a good cheesecake.) I asked for the whip cream and caramel on the side, and it was delivered in a to go bag, along with our leftovers quickly and as per instructions. Crystal handled the bill promptly. I ate the cheesecake(very generous portion) in 3 different sittings, but it was really good. A little more light and foamy than other pumpkin cheesecakes I’ve had, it was almost more mousse like than dense, but flavor was excellent. We had a hard time finding great NYC style pizza while living in the bay area, so LOVE that we found this place!

Service and quality above reproach. Nicole served us for our first visit and made the experience fun. The chef brought our pizza and said it may have been too crisp on the bottom. If so he’d make another one. We were fine but Nicole asked for another to be made which had us hauling out a large and a half for take home! Manager. Chef and wait staff were excellent. Highly recommended.

Pizza was great but Unilocal browse menu was incorrect. No pastas or kid plates. Our child does not like pizza but like pasta. So we went and we were disappointed with the only pizza and salad option However the manager(Alex) went to a restaurant next door and got a meal for him which he loved. That was very thoughtful and not expected.

Can’t believe we have not eaten here before now. This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the street. They have a very nice patio overlooking the creek. We were a party of 4 adults and we ate on the patio. Our service was very good, as was the pizza. I am interested in building my own pizza oven, so I asked the folks about their coal fired oven. They were so happy to tell me all about it. Very interesting! Also, a really nice manager and crew. We will certainly be back!

When you go to pizza places, you really just need to know what to order or you won’t eat anything special. Personally, I’m a huge fan of white pizzas with pesto! Adds more of a specialty flavor. Their spicy chicken sausage also has a nice kick so I would recommend that as a topping for people who like spicy. Overall, pretty solid pizza place! Not my #1 go to pizza restaurant, but pretty good choice nonetheless.
