Sonic Drive-In

Waited awhile for 2 cheeseburgers. No one in line. The burger was cold and slab of cheese was not melted. Forget it!

Wow I can relate been sitting in he car for 5 minutes I kept pushing the call button and it kept going out. When I made the server aware she basically blew it off. Didn’t say I will make sure my manager knows it’s not working, so sorry it’s not working something anything. Not impressed!!!

This Sonic SUCKS. It is the SLOWEST Sonic I have ever been to. At Sonics I usually order shakes. At this location, when I order a shake the cup is always messy and sticky on the outside. Why can’t they be wiped off???
At Sonics if I am not in a rush I will park and order. But when you park, it doesn’t mean you have your whole life to wait! At this Sonic I have waited between 10 and 20 minutes for orders (shake+mozzarella sticks).
Fortunately this location ran into some trouble earlier this year with a fire. The Sonic was closed for a while, then it was repaired and reopened. Because it was «new», I decided to try this location again. I was hoping all the horribleness got burnt away in the fire, but I was wrong. I guess knowing they could rise from the ashes just strengthened their belief that being awful will never die. I went through the drive-​through and the service took a long time, as before. And to top it off, I paid with cash but was not given my change! The dude at the register KEPT MY MONEY! Why?! Did he think it was tip for me GOING THROUGH A DRIVE-​THROUGH??? Tips are earned, not chosen. My summary is that this location is full of thieves and slow service. Would not recommend.

Reminded why this is a drive-​in not meant to be a drive-​thru. Been sitting in the drive-​thru lane for 10 minutes now. Reminding me of Abilene Whataburger after 10pm.
Also, they have the cool new video screens at all of the drive-​in stations. When I got to the window, the card sniper didn’t work. Don’t drive-​thru… Drive-​in.

Sooooooo bummed that the population in the area couldn’t support this location! I’m sure the construction didn’t help either. This was always a great Sonic location but was just maybe too far off the beaten path to compete with all the other options west of Highway 5/​Greenville. Seriously hope someone else buys this franchise and gives it another go once the construction is over.

As of 8/​15, this Sonic is CLOSED with boards on the windows with the message «Closed due to fire» on the sign out front. I did not see any indication if it would be re-​opened or how soon if so. The parking lot is roped off.
Too bad, because this is one of those rare sonics where they have the drive thru so you don’t have to feel guilty about not tipping.
