I’ve eaten here on and off for 20+ years, it’s an average diner that has average service and has average quality of food. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here when other, better options for the same price are a few minutes down the road. Stopped in for a quick breakfast before work, the sausage links looked and tasted like bulk-bought frozen ones, nothing special. Toasted bread was limp, how does toasted bread go limp? The pancakes had great flavor, but were still slightly raw /doughy in the middle. I understand during a breakfast rush pancakes take up prime real estate on the griddle and take forever, but that doesn’t mean they should still be wet inside. Home fries have little if any seasoning in them. None of the juice is fresh, it’s all Nestle juices(read that as tons of added sugar) from a «soda fountain» style dispenser. I chose to give this 2 stars instead of middle of the road 3 because i truly feel if you drive 3 more minutes there’s a better diner down the road, and the slightly raw pancake is inexcusable.

I think the food is good but there are better places to get food. The dessert was what was the most impressive thing about my experience here. Would just go for that and breakfast. Depends who you get for service but I almost always get a good waitress but I have seen bad ones when I am there. I would try this place it might be more impressive then you think plus it’s 24 hours

Just the most mediocre meal I have had. High prices. Food wasn’t hot. Go elsewhere for better diner food. We will never never ever go back here

«Squid, you work the graveyard shift. Where do you go when you get both hungry and lazy at 2am?» Well, I go to the Trivet! At 2am, there’s nothing better than the chocolate chip pancakes and coffee. It’s clean, comfortable, and affordable. I would definitely recommend stopping in for a burger, at least.

Prices are just way way way too high. I just had breakfast at top diner in Allentown. The same thing here was 5.25 and trivet price was 7.50. They aren’t even close to being competitive. They cost more than NYC diners!!! Even a worker there said they where overpriced. Btw top diner tasted way better too and the workers actually smile. I hate the trivet lol. The biggest peace of mine at the trivet is the blonde girl greeting you on the way in and out… sorry but she has zero personality and will NEVER crack a smile ever!!! That’s annoying!!!

One of the best diner that i’ve visited! Best chicken noodle soup ever! The fried chicken is out of this world! And service was excellent

This is the best 24 hour diner I’ve been to. I read the negative reviews and brushed them off. Chrome and neon, spotless and brightly lit. Extensive menu. Yes that means things are prepared from frozen. IT’S A DINER! Service was attentive, quick, and thorough. Great location that’s easy to find by the Turnpike. Plenty of parking and dining room seating. Crane machines and glass-fronted dessert case. Ya know. Diner stuff! Can’t wait to come back.

Went for lunch. The staff was not very friendly. The waitress said to us «oh your not ready yet and walked by without waiting for an answer. «The gyros had very little meat, enough so that in a court of law the judge would have to technically call it a gyro. For breakfast yes, for other meals no.

Half the breakfast was cold the other half was burnt. First and last time there. At least I had a nice waitress. But unfortunately the food was horrible.

Ok, over the last 18 months we have started to go back to this Trivet for breakfast and it has been excellent. Great bang for the buck. When for dinner, ordered the prime rib King cut. I questioned the server about the prime rib and was it roasted today, and was it a menu special, blah, blah, blah… The server assured me it was a real PRIME rib. It was not. $ 19, was a total rib off. If they were honest, about the meat, would have tried something else. Also, some of the servers have an edge/attitude, somewhat acceptable for eating a very good breakfast, but not for a just OK dinner. Now, last night my server was pleasant, but just not honest. Make you own judgement for dinners at Trivet.

Cute ‘50s diner serving breakfast all day. Nothing out of the ordinary but every component of my meal from the pancakes to the sausage was solid, not to mention the portions were pretty large. My only«issue» was I found the eggs/potatoes were under-seasoned a bit, which I actually preferred so I could control the salt portions. A good choice for late night breakfast.

I visited today after many years of not being there. We were seated right away and got some old coffee which must have sat for a good 2 hours. When ordering appetizers she went to run away before we were finished. The food was overpriced for a diner and wasn’t anything special. When it finally came to pay, the guy at the register was busy with his Facebook while running my credit card. I doubt that I will return to this place again if ever

A great find! Friendly service, good food, good portions, good price. Try the breakfast casserole– 6 inch round dish of hot saucy yolk dippin goodness. I have never seen this, so I had to order it. Yum! Looks so good and ate it so fast I forgot to take a picture of it! Short stack was two huge pancakes that my son inhaled as soon as it arrived. Huge choice of omelets! Lots of seating– went into a packed parking lot on a Sunday morning and got seated right away.

I was here for brunch with two friends, and I ordered the meat lovers omelette with extra mushrooms(+$ 1) and egg whites(+$ 0.60), with an extra side of well-done breakfast potatoes. I think the size of the omelette was pretty generous, as well as the mix-ins, which were pretty well balanced — with the exception of the mushroom, which I thought there could have been more of. The breakfast potato was a little bland but definitely sufficiently well-done(I would say more on the side of burned, but I like my potatoes a little burned, so that wasn’t a problem for me). A little salt and pepper fixed that right up! The toast and butter was nothing special, but good and filling. Overall, I would be back, and I think next time I could just stick with the omelette and maybe get a side to share.

Trivet Diner is just ok. They have a very vast menu which is never a good sign as far as food freshness goes. The food is ok, not bad, but really not very good. Service is fair. They charged their menu around lately and now offer«Angus» beef burgers and I asked if they were fresh(read not frozen) and waitstaff told me yes, but the burger patty that made it to our table was most definitely a frozen puck. We’ve been coming here for years and the more I come here the less I like it.

This place is my family’s favorite breakfast spot. We went there most recently on Wednesday morning with my grandmother. It was pretty empty there when we first arrived, but the hostess sped walked to a table and dropped off the menus and didn’t look back. My grandmother walks with a cane, so we clearly were not walking at the pace that the hostess would have preferred. I would have normally rated this place 5 stars, but something like this caused me to detract 1 star. Once we were seated, my dad and I got each got an omelette with home fries and my grandmother got pancakes. Everything came out really, really fast and was cooked just right. The server was friendly, professional, and always made sure we had fresh coffee and everything else we needed.

I guess my expectations were too high for a diner on the side of the road that is mostly recommended for breakfast. After being told by the server that her favorite was the open faced turkey sandwich, and that they’re known for their burgers, I probably shouldn’t have ordered a salad. But in my mind, the gyro salad(essentially greek salad with gyro meat and fries on top), sounded quite good. In reality, it was iceberg lettuce with mealy tomatoes, 2 or 3 olives, gyro meat, french fries, and pita points. Nothing awful, but not as juicy or as flavorful as I would have liked. The tzatziki sauce on the side was quite thick, with the consistency of sour cream. Then we got up to pay at the register, the manager/owner was cleaning out the drawer and seemed as though we were putting him out by interrupting his work. He also seemed annoyed when I asked if they took AMEX, saying only«Visa or Mastercard» without bothering to make eye contact.
