Their torta is still in the top 5 sandwiches Ive ever had — but they charged my debit card for a meal I wasn’t present for. I got charged 10 $ from them a week after I went there… which means they saved my credit card info and charged me again — for the same amount as before — hoping I wouldnt notice. It breaks my heart because this is by far one of my favorite places to get a sandwich in Boston and I usually go atleast every other week. But sadly, no longer.

I’m honestly writing this as I eat it because I’m so happy. My office gets lunch delivered regularly and today was the first time we decided to get Amelia’s. I usually have relatively low expectations because there are only a handful of places that I enjoy very much… I’d classify most as mediocre. This food is AWESOME! Not only did they arrive 25 minutes earlier than expected,(most places are usually 30 – 60 minutes late) but they got everyone’s order completely correct(13 people today) and everyone agreed that it was really good. I got a grilled chicken quesadilla and it’s heaven on earth — definitely better than Chipotle or Anna’s. The portion size is also HUGE, especially for the price. I’m about 60% of the way done and struggling so hard now to finish…

This is the best Mexican spot in the city, better than Ana’s, bolocco, chipotle, anywhere. The people that work there are so friendly and fun. The prices are fair and the portions are generous. I eat here at least once a week, usually two.

I had a horrible experience here when ordering through Foodler. Our first order was 1 torta, and order or nachos, a quesadilla and two tacos. When we received our first order it was half right, missing the quesadilla and tacos and we received a burrito instead. We quickly called the delivery man wanting him to check and see if he had a missing bag in the back seat– he redirected us to call the restaurant. The woman on the phone was incompetent, unable to even see if we had ordered anything when we clearly had food in front of us. Over an hour later we got our second delivery, again only half right. The tacos were not only wrong but disgusting. Who puts broccoli in a taco??? It was extremely disappointing especially when I was expecting pork carnitas. The rest of the food wasn’t great either. We quickly called Foodler to see if there was any chance of getting a refund. They called the restaurant who refused any reimbursement. Thankfully Foodler was able to give us a little reimbursement for our time. I enjoyed a peanut butter and banana sandwich for dinner.

Spicy chicken tacos were OK at best; flavor was alright but chicken was overcooked and too soggy. Asada tacos were dry and bland, green sauce was runny and flavor not that great, and the food does not do their prices justice. Might work for some who are really craving Mexican food and this is the closest you can get, but I’d recommend you save your money.

I got delivery from here the other night. I live less than 7 mins driving. I figured i would order something that Would be quick expecting it to be quick since their take out is always on point when I used to get their tortas. Well I ordered a burrito with carnita meat, guac, sour cream, hot sauce, etc… The burrito barely had sour cream, guac in about two bites of the burrito, and the hot sauce was either not there or just really not hot at all. We also ordered a steak quesadilla. We were surprised to see it wasn’t just steak and cheese. It was like a burrito. They had put rice and other things in there. Everything was falling out and there was More rice than anything else. Honestly it’s pointless to order the quesadilla because everything falls out. Might as well stick with the burrito. The food was kinda warm when it got to my house so that was Kinda disappointing, but we did order watermelon juice and it was delicious! I’m gonna try take out again and hope for a better experience but as of now do yourself the favor and only do take out.

I had the most horrendous experience last night while trying to order some food through Foodler from this restaurant. 5:00pm: order 1 steak quesadilla 1 chicken quesadilla through foodler 6:30pm: call inquiring about where my missing food is. I was told it was on the way and would be here in 10 min. 6:45:call again. I am told it is arriving, but she asks for me to repeat my order to her. 7:00:call 3 times, no answer. 7:05:call again. She asks me to repeat my order and says it will be there very soon. 7:30pm:call again. She again has me replace my order and says it will be right there. 7:45pm: call 2 more times. No answer. I officially have up. But my roommate hasn’t. She calls and the girl tells her to text her order to the number. 8:20: my roommate calls again and is told her food is on the way and then is hung up on. 8:30pm: she calls 2 more times but no answer. Honestly, if we were told our food wasn’t going to arrive in the first place, we could have moved on a lot sooner. Unfortunately, the hostess kept telling us our food was arriving so we just kept waiting. It was like it was some game to her. Well, I went to bed without dinner. What a cruel game. A cruel game indeed. Tl;dr: we never got our food even though we were repeatedly told it was on the way. :(

So I can’t say it’s amazing… But it was quite perfect for late night munchies. If it weren’t for that, I’d probably say it wasn’t that great. Steak was definitely overcooked and super dry. The guacamole and beans saved the plate. Overall, not bad. The guy is nice.

Omg the best burritos, and quesadillas I’ve ever had outside of Mexico. This place is the real deal they take the time to make sure your order is on point and that you are happy! Trust me you want to go and taste this place!

One of many decent burrito spots in the neighborhood. Your typical gringo-catering Mexican-inspired joint. The service is friendly, the food seems to be fresh, the price is reasonable. You get the veggies chopped and sauteed right in front of you. Solid.

I came here on a rainy day. I’m from California so I am very particular about my burritos. Amelia’s reminded me of Chipotle. You are able to pick and chose what goes in your burrito. There’s not really too much flavor. The guy was really nice though. They provided great service.:)

I was driving by and happen to find a parking spot in from of this awesome place. Food is really good very well seasoned and they let you put anything you want in your taco just like at home, you know when you bite in to a taco and some of the fill-in falls out? So here they solve that problem they give you extra taco shell, you can make more taco from what it fell out, love it !!! Restroom needs a little more attention

I like this place. I got a vegetarian quesadilla w guac and a small drink and it was $ 10.50. Kind of a lot of money given no meat… because a steak or chicken or carnitas lunch would’ve been the same $$. That being said, guy was friendly, food was really good and all the ingredients were super fresh. Chipotle includes guac free of charge when you don’t have a meat /tofu product; I wish the independent places would do this too. I’ll definitely go back when I am in the area!

This place is very good with delicious burritos and consistent taste. The chips are far too salty, but the guacamole is amazing. They also have an awesome drink selection(when it’s stocked) with horchata, jarritos, Mexican coke and other Mexican sodas. Very small inside, probably seats 8 comfortably. The service is fast(obviously considering its a build-your-own style place) but the Employees aren’t too friendly. It may have to do with language barrier, but they aren’t very polite, either way.(taking away one star) Decent price, not that cheap, but around Chipotle prices, but with better food and drink quality. Been 3 times and will continue to come, check it out if you haven’t, for sure!

I feel so lucky to have walked into this place a week ago and had the best Mexican food in Boston. Fresh, flavorful, perfectly cooked. The quesadilla is browned on the burner and comes out crispy. Lovely! They offer bountiful fillings from pickled onions to grilled jalapeños. I could weep with gratitude. And the people who work there are friendly and generous with the serving.

Assigning a star rating on this was tricky. I eat here all the time, but I never want to eat here all the time. It’s one of those places I seem to end up at time and time again, and even though I don’t intend on it, I always like my food. I’ll start this off by saying that I dislike Anna’s and Boca Grande and love Chipotle, so you can already tell what kind of authenticity I like in Mexican food. Still, this place is pretty authentic if you like Spanish tacos more than Mexican ones. The guys who work the line and the counter don’t speak much English but they’re very sweet and always willing to help. Also, they’ll give you more food if you ask for a little extra. I wish the seating was better because it’s super cramped, but aside from that this is a solid place to eat.

I have eaten here at least 5 times now and ordered a number of different items and have loved them all! This place is cut from the same cloth as Anna’s and Boca, but what sets this place apart is the have a much larger selection of veggies and toppings that are all super fresh. People are always very friendly as well.

I went in to try out the new place and had my chicken burrito made by some crusty staff. But some of the best food comes from the crustiest of hearts, and so I stood firm. I think the guy making my burrito didn’t speak English well so that could definitely account for some of the perceived crustiness. Also when I asked for hot salsa he definitely gave me pico de gallo, which isn’t even salsa. Despite that I took my burrito home for further testing. I think the taste was significantly improved by dousing it in my own hot sauce but I found the ratio of everything to be right, and the cheese was melted onto the tortilla so that was good. I would say that they are much closer to Anna’s or Habaneros than Chipotle or Qdoba. I really liked the way their chicken was marinated, that was the standout of the order. I haven’t been back yet, but I’m willing to brave the crusty staff to try it again sometime, and hopefully get hot hot salsa this time.
