This was our first time here(wife, daughter and myself). We all had 8″ subs. I also had a cup of the Spicy Seafood Gumbo, which was the soup of the day. All 3 of us thought the subs were very tasty. The Gumbo was disappointing, however, seeming more like a Gumbo that would come out of a can than a homemade Gumbo. I love Gumbo, so I probably should have known better than to order it from a sub shop. It was a little strange that the store was several hours from closing but yet almost all of the chairs were stacked on the tables. Overall, a good experience and we will likely be back.

Second time here. GREAT soup and excellent sandwiches but the ordering system needs improvement.

Great for anyone that cannot have gluten, including celiac as they take all the precautions for cross-contamination! Delicious sandwiches and much higher quality than the chains offer. My husband is obsessed with sandwiches, so we go here to get his craving-fix and since it’s the only sandwich I can eat that doesn’t upset my body. There are very few gluten free breads that I’m able to tolerate, and this seems to be one of the much cleaner ones that I can(I pretty much cannot tolerate any grains). It’s a family owned place, which is just another reason to support. Even though it’s 20 min from home, it’s worth the drive.

Today was my fist visit to the store. I had the Italian because the other reviewer dissed it in a prior review and my wife had the turkey rueben sub. We both enjoyed our meals. Frankly, given the shop’s format, I don’t know how the italian the poster’s friend ordered could have been screwed up and worthy of being half eaten. Presumably the poster is a troll for a competitor. Given the sub making format, it is impossible for someone to not get the sandwich they prefer. Everyone picks exactly what is on their sandwich. The price is reasonable and the quality of the food is good to excellent. Not sure why the other reviewer dissed the sub. Why exactly did the friend not like the sub? Please elaborate… I too ate only half of mine but I ordered a large and can’t wait to eat the other half tomorrow. … by design.

This place has a lot going for it. The food was pretty good overall, and so was the service. I decided to go for the full sized sub and it really hit the spot. They have a ton of choices in the meat and vegetable department. Everything is toasted unless you ask them not to. My wheat bread was delicious. The only flaws I found were that the onions were mushy and very wet and I ordered jalapenos but only got a few pieces in my entire sub. The guy working the counter was great, and I definitely plan on coming back for more. Overall a much better sub shop than I expected. Yummy!

I was back the other day for lunch with my buddy and neither of our sandwiches was very good, I had the lunch special rueben and it was mainly sauerkraut, my buddy had an italian sub and he left half of it uneaten. Honestly I was embarassed because I recommended the place based on my prior experience. I know how popular this place is, and I hate to dish them, but, it wasnt good and I wont be back.

This is the best sub I have ever eaten. Highly recommend a lunch or dinner trip here. Great, quick service and very reasonably priced. Even the drinks are top notch! And because the have gluten free choices, an excellent place to get a very good meal.

Great subs/wraps at great prices, quality, and customer service. I found this place through Unilocal and scout mob. The guy working their asked if it was my first time because I looked lost when I walked in and he came over and helped explain the menu to me. I tried a spinach wrap flavor with turkey, veggies, and cheese on the inside plus a dab of avocado. Unlike most deli food it can taste salty, dry, and bland. This place is clearly uses better than usual quality meat and cheese(is it boars head?). And the sweet tea is on point. Overall, great place. My only knip is wait can be long during lunch and getting out of this parking lot to go left is impossible.

I’m a HUGE fan of good grub subs! I love right around the corner from this place, but it took me a long time to try it out for some unknown reason. These subs are the real deal. They are so good, and huge, and fresh. Every time I go I get the tuna sub and it’s the best tuna sub ever– seriously. Their 8 inch sub is only $ 6.25 and it’s way bigger and 100 times better quality than a certain chain sub shop hats on every corner. 2 tips– they are on scout mob so use it and save 50% on your first visit. They are on , so look for sales in that site and then stock up! Love that. They also have deals of the day where select subs are $ 5– I think they list it in their website but I know Wednesday is the tuna day! The people who work here are also super nice and willing to be flexible while making your sub. We have started going once a week for dinner because we can get 2 huge 8 inch subs for $ 8 after using the $ 5 off certificate. It’s a serious deal and a tasty dinner!

Outstanding food and good people. I had a wonderful Cuban sub sandwich prepared perfectly and I really enjoyed it! One of the best things about this place is that they have a gluten free offering. They even have a separate preparation area for the gluten free foods which is very important to people who have celiac. I highly recommend Good Grubs and will be back!

Easy to order, BOARSHEAD meat, and a friendly staff. The manager asked me how everything was knowing it was my first time visiting. Putting your name on the slips makes it more personal, as they remember your name.

This is a fantastic sub place. I have to eat gluten free and they have the best gluten free bread on a sub I have ever had. It was so good! I definitely recommend. My husband had the regular(non-GF) sub and he really enjoyed his too. It is fresh and taste like high quality ingredients. Love it.

This Sub shop was very good! We found it on Scoutmob(50% off your meal up to $ 6). They have 12″ subs or 8″ subs, no small 5″ or 6″ here! I actually got a Turkey Reuben rolled in a spinach wrap and really liked it! It could’ve used a little more sauce or cheese but it was still delicious. They have a sub of the day here for $ 5 Mondays through Fridays on pre-selected 8″ subs. Everything comes out toasted unless you say otherwise. You place your order at the front of the shop by filling out a form for your sub and everything you want on it. The only downfall was that there was only one employee working and she was seriously overworked! Between making the subs and being a cashier and yelling the names of people’s orders, she was sweating literally. Homemade cookies were 3 for $ 1. They looked tasty but I was too stuffed to eat anymore after the wrap. I definitely enjoyed my wrap and will go back again soon!

Good Grub Subs was an excellent find. It was nice to find a place in which I could go into a place and order a meal like a regular person and not be overly paranoid about how my food was made. This small sub shop offers a your typical deli offerings. Upon entry, you pick up an order sheet and fill out what you want. There was one specifically for gluten free, which had more selections than I was expecting. The bread that they use is an Udi’s sub which tastes pretty decent for gf. I love the fact that they have a separate prepping station and utensils to reduce cross contamination. They also were well versed in gf handling in that they already knew to not only change their gloves, but wash their hands as well prior to making my meal. They also labeled which chips contained gluten and offered GF cookies as well. This place can be crowded during lunch, but they were quick in knocking out all of the orders. If you chose to eat here during lunch, they do have a handful of tables, but the space is a little tight. All and all, it was a nice find and good and safe lunch.

This is another one of those places where my friends that don’t leave the zipcode except for work will go to eat, as it is literally a ¼ mile from their house. I came here under the original notion we would be going to SubWing, but they ended up bringing me here. If I wasn’t so drunk, I would have walked to SubWing(about another .3-.4 miles down the road). When I walked in, I noticed everyone kept flocking to the front right of the store, but had no idea why. I kept looking for the menu– then I realized that the menus are reusable, and you mark what you want and turn them in. After all of the looking, I decided to get the Italian sub, with some bacon. I got it larged sized with a coke. It ended up being around $ 11 n some change. The gentleman who was the cashier(he had about as much hair as I do) was very friendly. A few minutes later, they called«Tom» up to the plate. I wanted to see why they snubbed SubWing. The sub wrapped in foil was huge. I was hungry, but this was a lot! Now, I will not lie, the meats, cheeses, and dressing were pretty good– almost tasted like a sub from Firehouse(I say that because I love their Italian subs with that yum dressing). The only kicker was as I was eating the sub, my mouth was getting worn out. There was something up with the bread, and I toughed it out on the second half, but it damn near gave me lockjaw(thankfully I wasn’t going crazy, as they said the same). If the bread was a little softer, this would have been one of the better subs I have had. And although it seemed pricey, there was a LOT of food– and it came with drinks and chips. I might have to go back and check this place out, but not until my jaw recovers!

Scout mob had us coming here but good service and fresh ingredients will keep us coming back. Fact: their subs can be made exactly how you want, anyway you want it. The concept reminds me of Which Wich… and since I adore Which Wich, that’s probably why I really enjoyed my sub here. What really well keep me coming back though is their assortment of sizes. Whereas Which Wich only comes in one size, you can choose 6, 8, 9, 12 Inch subs.
