Poor quality food and manager etiquette. Normally receive good service, however, requested food to be remade and manager made a big fuss and wanted to over charge after I requested the order to be remade. I scaled-back on the original ingredients and just added 2 replacement items which were very minimal. When I requested to have it remade, she said you will be charged higher at your next visit. Also, the order was not remade when they brought it out a second time… it was only just stirred around in the skillet w/unsautéed spinach, which I requested to be sautéed… Did not order a salad dish… Totally unacceptable for a breakfast entrée…Will not return again.

A regular stop to meet with the team before work. Service is fast and friendly, the food is a decent value for what you receive although the coffee is a little weak and the bacon portions a little skimpy I do enjoy the many options available.

Great breakfast restaurant! It has a great atmosphere, very family oriented. The menu has a lot of classic items like Eggs Benedict and a western omelet. I love the blueberry pancakes!

Service was great. Quesadillas were good. However my husband had eggs with bacon and the eggs were not cooked correctly, the toast had no butter and there was none on the table and his bacon was not crispy as he had asked.

This is one place I can go and always know that the food, regardless of service will be spot on. I have tried a few different plates and every single time they are delicious. The service has varied from being amazing to horrendous. usually on the better side. but worth noting,. We vary locations depending on what he Saturday agenda is, but its always quality correct food, even if i made any additions or substitutions. Their latte’s are yummy. I love the colors and the mood when you walk in. All bright and colorful :)

The pumpkin pancake was very nice and the service was very good. Everything else that we had was normal breakfast food. The chai tea latte was a little too sweet. I have ordered one of the skillets in the past but didn’t see one that I liked this time.

Brunch on a lazy weekday sounded like a great idea. It was, but we just picked the wrong place! The 1.5 stars is for both food, coffee, and service. They were not busy(she had two tables, including our table) but somehow the waitress took forever with our drinks. They were not busy(6 tables, including our table) but somehow the kitchen took over 20 minutes to serve simple plates. Coffee is not a far cry from nearby Egg Harbor Café’s Intelligentsia roast. Our brunch plates were just ok, so it’s nothing special. The service is slow. I’ll be avoiding this location from now on.

I’ve been to J Christopher’s three times now, and honestly, I decided after the first time that I’d have breakfast there as often as possible. This location isn’t nearest to me(and I’ve yet to try any others; any recommendations?), but it happened to be in my path soon after I’d first heard of it. I like the atmosphere here — laid-back, casual dining, with the mismatched mugs and plates, and kitschy pop art décor. The crowd is a healthy mix between families, older couples, and younger people. The service is usually timely and friendly, with an abundance of servers on hand to tackle the turning tables. My go-to dish here is the Goldi-Lox, because it’s a great variety that makes for a really filling breakfast. Salmon and capers, tomatoes and onions, fresh fruit, cucumbers, cream cheese and a bagel. Perfect. If you haven’t swung by a J Christopher’s to try it out, add it to your list of breakfast spots!

For me, J. Christopher’s is a great place to meet friends, colleagues or clients for a mid-morning breakfast or early lunch. Service is generally good, and the food is relatively consistent, no matter which metro Atlanta location you choose. The Alpharetta location at the corner of Old Alabama and Haynes Bridge Road is not my favorite J. Christopher’s, but it meets my expectations for a morning meal. My go-to meal is the Goddess Omelet and a side of fruit. I’ve also had excellent poached eggs and pretty decent grits at this location. If you’re in the mood for something a little heartier, try one of their Signature Skillet dishes. A good friend of mine highly recommends the Spinach & Bacon. Service is warm and friendly, if a little scatterbrained. Orders may get mixed up, but if mistakes are made, they are corrected quickly.

We went here with my MOMS Club and we were able to sit in the side room and close the door. It was great and the kids were able to run around and not get into any trouble! I just wish they posted their nutritional information. The Bistro salad with grilled chicken was excellent and I would definitely go back here again to try other items!

It’s a little odd that I live in the town with the only J. Christopher’s outside of Georgia… and yet, my first visit was to this one. The restaurant itself reminds me of the kind of breakfast places you go to at the beach… the walls are bright, there’s hardwood flooring on the ceiling(in case Lionel Richie comes in, presumably), there’s a coffee bar when you walk in. We were a little nervous when we saw that the COFFEEOFTHEDAY was Kona Blend. Yeah, that’s a pretty normal coffee… not sure we were supposed to be blown away(not a coffee snob… we just found that funny). Anyway, the coffee was good… the orange juice was pricier than normal… and OJ is generally pretty pricey. The large cost TWICE as much as a small… I had an omelet which had goat cheese in it(don’t remember what else), but it was very good. The waitress had no trouble splitting the checks(even if she did mispronounce Tabasco). It was pretty good… then I tried the grits. Holy. Crap. I was born in the south. I’ve been raised in the south. I love grits. I will always order grits when grits are an option. These grits were the single best grits that I have ever had in my entire life. They were incredible… buttered to 100 percent perfection. I wanted more… but, well, restaurants don’t generally bring seconds. As I mentioned earlier, there’s one in my hometown… based on my experience here, I’ll be going to it… if for no other reason than for the grits.

I love J. Christophers. Service is always really good, the coffee is always really good, and the food has been really good. It’s REALLY good! I’ve had many, many item menus(too many to list here) but it’s always fresh and delicious, and served quickly. My husband loves the crunch cakes: they’re like comfort food. I once had biscuits smothered in sausage gravy and when they say«sausage gravy», they’re not kidding — it’s not ground up sausage in the mixture but actual big pieces of sausage. They’ve got great side opens, great combinations — there’s really something for everyone here. It can get a little pricey, yes, but it’s worth it.

We’ve had several team breakfasts here over the years. It’s an excellent choice for groups because there’s a huge variety on the menu and they know how to work well with large parties. When I say huge variety, I mean think of any American breakfast treat, and they’ve got it, from sweet pancakes and french toast to savory biscuits and gravy, skillets with hashbrowns, oatmeal, yogurt parfaits, even lox and bagel. I’m sure that some of these items are not the best implementation that the city has to offer, but they’ve still got a version of it, so it’s a great place for the indecisive. On my most recent visit, I got the BELT sandwich, which is a BLT with a fried egg and cheese. Delicious. On the side, I got fruit cup, which is nothing fancy, but the fruit didn’t taste like it had been frozen or refrigerated too long, as is often the case with melon/grape mix. Whole plate was less than $ 7. For this group of 20, they sat us along the banquette in the middle. Previously, when we had actual business to discuss, they’ve given us the back room for a little more privacy. #Yelp365 — 118⁄365

If you are up here and don’t want to drive far, this place is a decent stop for a solid breakfast or brunch. Think more upscale than IHOP and fresher than what you would get at Cheesecake Factory. This is also a good spot for the figure conscious, as they have many healthy options, including vegetarian choices, fresh fruit, and South Beach options on the menu. I usually get the blueberry crunch cakes– blueberry pancakes made with granola. Also, the skillets are very good-mixtures of eggs, oven potatoes, and your choice of toppings such as ham and cheese. No alcohol, so no mimosas or bloody mary’s with your eggs here. Coffee is good though and unlimited refills. Patio! Score. Overall, a good staple for brunch outside the perimeter. *Note– If planning on using the free wifi, Facebook is blocked by the management on their wireless as an «inappropriate site». I asked my server and she said that she had no idea and no way of unblocking it. Ridiculous.

I dont know why people are rating this place low, Ive been here quite often and its pretty awesome, and the food is solid. My mom used this as bribery to get me out of bed early enough, and so here we are sitting there, and Im tired as hell. I got some chocolate chip pancakes, and fruit and I am set for the day. The only problem is getting up early enough to get here in time to eat breakfast, but if Im up Ill make it around to this place.

I went and checked out J. Christopher’s today out of curiosity and boy, it did kill the cat. The service wasn’t bad, but our server didn’t even know to ask me if I wanted grits or potatoes. I had to stop her before she walked off. She was obviously new and seemed as if it was her first job. Their limited menu cannot be that hard to learn. On the upside, she was very sweet and got everything correct, so she didn’t do anything wrong. The atmosphere there was described in the previous review by Michael B. quite correctly. The people next to us even went as far as asking the server to wipe down the floor under their booth. Not to mention she asked the hostess to «go fetch» her daughter who was still standing up front in protest of some kind. What?(I am aware that this is not the restaurant’s fault, but if those are the kinda people they draw in, no thanks) The food was good, but I’ve had much better. For the prices they charge I was expecting more. My eggs were good, but my potatoes were dry and all in all I was not impressed at all. Sorry, but don’t think I’ll be back.

I do not see the appeal of this place. The menu is limited for a breakfast place. The portions are small — my «not Denny’s or IHOP» breakfast place staple, eggs Benedict, leaves me hungry just a little while later. And I pay a medium high price for it to boot. This assumes I can even get a seat — all of their locations are bratty kid /extended family dumping grounds on weekends, and the waits are horrible. If I don’t leave hungry waiting on a table, service is suburban teenager awesome. Very hit or miss. If you want to pay for a decent meal with mostly better service, Thumbs Up Diner beats this place hands down. The only advantage this place has over Thumbs Up Diner — it takes credit cards.
