The service was okay. Waitress forgot a couple of things on the order, as expected since she didn’t write anything down. The food came out really cold. The biscuit and gravy was warm but completely bland, there was no taste. Honestly I wanted to add my own seasoning. The turkey sausage smelled exactly like pork, I have a feeling they fry all their meats in the same oil. So don’t even think about ordering any meats if you don’t eat pork. Th hash browns were very dry, completely over fried. I had the worst time chewing. The French toast were the best, but were still very cold. The check came as a piece of paper on the table. There was no sense of creativity or presentation. I wont be coming back.

Brunch was really good, definitely worth the drive from Norcross. It took less than 10 minutes after ordering to get our orders. Everything is really fresh and home made!

Good food, gluten free options, good price, fast service. I enjoy their gluten free pancakes, as well as their skillets and hashbrowns.

Great place to catch breakfast but seems to get busy. Be careful of the omelet with goat cheese it’s loaded with the stuff. Light and fluffy pancakes and fast service.

I wish we would have eaten at the Waffle House outside of our hotel. A greasy spoon like that would have been superior to this place. Our waitress seemed to merely tolerate us with forced kindness. The food is way overpriced and just average. We were sickened at the cost and dismal experience at this place. $ 5.00 for a scant amount of canned corned beef hash! $ 2.50 for a cup of coffee! Don’t be fooled by the one dollar sign! The prices are definitely a 2 dollar sign. Such a waste of money!

This place is really good. We have been here numerous times and will continue to come here several times a month. I would dock a half star if I could because the service is efficient to the point of being rushed. Not to say at all unfriendly, just hurried. If you know what you want and do not mind being herded in and out as quickly as possible then this may be a pro instead of con. The food is fresh, hot, and delicious. I love that they have eggs Benedict every day, it is my staple. They also have a variety of healthier dishes good for those new year resolutions.

Since moving to Roswell a few months ago, Uptown Café has been a weekend morning staple. The food is normal fare that could be made at home. It’s always tasty and made fresh. I like this trait. Sometimes I just want straight up standard food – no fusion, no fancy, no frills. Today was my first time trying a non-breakfast entrée, which was a pot roast sandwich. Holy mother, it was good! Typically, pot roast sandwiches aren’t my thing since most are dry but this one was different with perfectly toasted buttery bread. It didn’t have gravy yet the meat was so juicy. The thing is that it was juicy enough without making the bread soggy. I’m definitely adding this sandwich into my breakfast rotation. My other favorite is the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich and add cheese. Yum!

Super fast delivery!!! I barely had time to check in on Unilocal before my gf and I got out orders. I ordered the up at five based on what it came with. The pancakes were excellent, the French toast wasn’t too bad I cold taste whatever else was on the grill at the time but then again I was coming off a cold so that could have had something to do with it. However that didn’t stop eating everything on the plate. Will definitely come back.

For fans of the TV show«Parks and Recreation», you should know that this is essentially JJ’s diner. In fact, my wife and I have even taken to fondly calling it that. As such, get the breakfast fare — you’ll thank me later. Ambience ========= It’s a diner. In a strip mall. It’s charming in its simplicity. Sit too close to the rear door, and you’ll get drafts of cigarette smoke coming in from waitress smoke breaks. Most days, the noise level is average, with several other patrons chatting away. Service ======= Service is sometimes a bit gruff, but mostly pleasant. Table service is usually very prompt. I imagine it’s a bit like a New York City diner. Food ======= This place is a traditional American diner. Don’t come here expecting the crepes or hollandaise sauce to be amazing. It’s not. But the comfort food is quite good. I recommend the waffles(think Jj’s diner), the pancakes, the bacon(it’s crisp), the hash browns, the French toast, the biscuits and gravy, and incredibly enough: the eggs.(Side note about eggs: they’re fragile, and many places routinely overcook them. Impressively, this place doesn’t) Price ===== My wife and I routinely eat breakfast here for under $ 20, plus tip. It’s roughly the same as you would pay at the Waffle House, but you get astronomically better food here. Summary ======= The folks that called this a hidden gem weren’t joking. You should probably come here for breakfast sometime if you’re in the area. And tip your server generously.

My favorite breakfast place is here. I go there at least 2 times on the weekend with my family. We have been looking for a local restaurant nearby our house for a while. It is like the others said«Hidden gem.» There was sometimes that food came out cold but they fixed it. The last time I was there, not sure if they have changed the pancake recipe. It didn’t taste the same. It used to be soft and melted in but this time it came out dry. Hope they change it back to the original soft and fluffy pancake.

Uptown used to be our place to go for Sunday breakfast. Hadn’t been there in awhile and I’m sad to say we may not go back again. Kitchen could have been stressed, but the place wasn’t full… disappointed: poached eggs were undercooked, coffee was lukewarm(first cup and even the refill), bacon was asked to be cooked well done and pretty much came out raw, pancakes weren’t done in the center. All around pretty crummy. Service was decent, but that’s about it. I typically only put reviews in if they are stellar or if they just fall short of «crummy». Posting this so that hopefully the owner will see it and will take steps to have a better handle on the kitchen’s output. We may be back, but it will be awhile before I’ll want to…

We went here for breakfast this morning. There was a wait and even the whole time we were eating there was a wait. That’s a good sign to me! I had the Monterey omelette and it was delicious. My friend had the country fried steak, her was also good. Very good service and a packed restaurant, they’re doing something right! Will return but not soon enough!

The Good: Omelette was amazing, big portions, not busy/no wait, clean environment, family friendly. The Bad: Server(Denise) wasn’t very attentive, I had a dirty water glass, prices were about $ 1 – 3 more than the normal breakfast joint. The Ugly: You cannot substitute ANYTHING which out a charge(I opted to get a plain bagel w/cream cheese instead of hash browns & instead of toast… They ended up charging me for not only the meal I ordered but also an additional $ 2 for a bagel & then $ 1.06 for the smallest bit of cream cheese). I don’t feel like that was right especially because the bagel & cream cheese was so much cheaper than hash browns and toast. So pretty much I paid over $ 8.00+ for two eggs & three pieces of bacon THEN paid over $ 3.00+ for a bagel & cream cheese. They aren’t reasonable when it comes to substituting anything.

Really tried to like this place but just can’t. The first time I went I remember the breakfast being very heavy but decided to give it another try Pro’s Coffee is decent Service is good, if not better than that Cons Food comes out far too quickly… 2 minutes after ordering makes me wonder Liquid river of questionable cheese all over my eggs benedict. I was starving and I couldn’t take more than a bite. The biscuit was sopping wet, gooey, and tasteless. Eggs were the same. The only thing that actually had any taste was the overly salted sausage. The server asked me if I wanted anything else but I was watching breakfasts being shelled out like bullets and didn’t take that offer. Unfortunately I won’t be returning unless some drastic changes occur.

Decided to try this place instead of flying biscuit and was slightly disappointed. I’ll start with what was good first. I had an eggs Benedict with beef tenderloin and it was very good! Several of my other friends enjoyed their meals as well(they ordered some of the breakfast platters). What I didn’t enjoy was the coffee, the coffee was absolutely terrible. Also, the price to add a slice cheese to a meal was $ 1.09 which is pretty ridiculous. Also, one of my friends ordered the Chicken and Waffles(which is one of the more expensive meals on the menu) and the piece of chicken was about the size of a chicken tender. Overall, this place isn’t bad but I would recommend going somewhere else.

Belgian Waffle was very good! My poached eggs were over cooked and they happily recoiled them for me AND gave a discount for my wait. Sweet!

Not the fanciest food ever but VERY solid diner breakfast fare. Service was fast and friendly. Also, there was no wait which is pretty rad. If you are going to go to Another Broken Egg, turn your car around and head here. Food is better, people are friendlier and there is no wait.

Read some reviews and decided on this location rather than J Christopher’s. We were not impressed. When we arrived we waited to be seated and once seated our server arrived promptly. The menu has quite a lot of breakfast selections and platters. I had the sunrise breakfast(2 eggs, 3 slices of bacon, hash browns and toast) and my husband had the corned beef and hash with egg whites. We ordered and not even 5 minutes later our food was on the table. This is was great because we were hungry but it concerned me regarding quality. My concerns were legitimate. This was one of the nastiest breakfasts we have eaten. The corned beef hash was canned, the grits had ZERO flavor and were lumpy, I had 2 slices of toast my husband had 4 and the one mug of coffee I had cost $ 2.09. There was nothing worth coming back for and we will not return. If you are into a greasy spoon place versus a quality place, then you will enjoy it The two stars are for the servers attentiveness and the menu selection.
