One of the best French pâtisserie in Atlanta. Glad it is only a few minutes from home. I would stop there every day if it was on my commute. Authentic French pâtisserie.

Fresh pastries, soooo good! Glad they re-opened, favorite bakery for picking up fresh pastries. Fruit tarts are phenomenal, great mousse, custard tarts and macaroons. When they have freshly baked bread(usually in the morning), I try to pick one up as well. A freshly-baked, all-natural french baguette is better than a disgusting, chemical-stuffed«bread» you get at your local grocery store — you know, the kind that never spoils or hardens? The greatest thing since sliced bread? Not-sliced bread!

The place has reopened and it’s now call French Bakery. Same owners, same awesome pastries. It made my year when I discovered they’d reopened!

The people they all look the same. Only the name has been changed, just the name. They are back open, same location, same restaurant, different name. See Sweet Tentations review.

This is a hidden jewel, the best European Bakery we know outside of Europe! Café Intermezzo is my husband and me ‘dating’ spot; but we would enjoy the place more if Café Intermezzo ordered their cakes from Swiss Alpine Bakery. We love everything here, there are times when I was disappointed to find out that another customer just left with the last baguette I came here for, once a native french man walked out with his baguette triumphantly telling me with his heavy accent that his was the last one. We don’t come for lunch often but when we feel for something light and healthy we will stop by here. If you are used to big volume of food like what most of restaurants here offer, you might be disappointed here. We happen to believe in the quality but the quantity. Last but not least I want to mention the custom made birthday cakes we got for the past few years for my son’s birthday party. They were beautifully done: we had 3-D Spiderman ready for the evils on a balcany, a bust of clown trooper, a star war lego ship; we simply told the chef the theme we wanted and his creation had received WOWs from everybody and had been the highlight of the parties. This year I negotiated with my son to not having a birthday party, I am glad that I don’t have to prepare for the party but do miss the opportunity to experience the master chef’s creativity.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I had the smoked salmon sandwich. The sandwich was with capers, tomato, onions a little cream cheese! Wonderful and fresh. It was served with a side caesar salad that was great! I didn’t have any pastries, but selection is incredible. Eclairs-both vanilla and chocolate, sables, croissants and other lovely looking desserts. A limited lunch menu, but just right for a nice lunch.

On my way home from work, and mostly a place to grab a decent baguette. I haven’t tried their lunch, but the menu on the board looks limited but very good.

Ordered a custom-flavor/designed cake for Family birthdays and was *really* disappointed. I asked for yellow cake with strawberries and cream filling. I left it up to them to decide how to complete and decorate the cake figuring ‘they are the experts, let them handle it’. I don’t regret letting them do it — the cake was serviceable in theory, it was just completely forgettable. The decoration was nice and elegant, but the actual cake tasted kinda blah. The frosting/fondant was gross and the filling was too sweet. They did have huge pieces(whole in some cases) of fresh strawberries, which were good, but I’d almost have preferred them to be more like bite-sized pieces or slivers. On the day I ordered the cake, I did take home a small tiramisu and strawberry tart and both were very good. Probably won’t go there for cake again, though.

Petit Fours: — tiramisu — napoleon: crust — raspberry tart: the tart was very subtle, I think I liked it — strawberry tart — chocolate éclair Croissant: not the best I’ve ever had… I think I’ll check it out again. IF I’m in the area.

Took a detour on the way to the airport before I got on the flight back home to California because of the Unilocal reviews. Lucked out because my flight ended up getting delayed. Man, I hate ATL traffic. I digress. The pastries here are really divine. I had the chocolate mousse cake which looked like a beautiful flower. The chocolate rasberry was really good too. Funny story. Since my GPS had been flaky, I asked for directions to the airport and the gentleman who worked there started giving directions to me in French. Now I took French in high school but that was… er…a few years ago. Anyways they were sweet people. I asked the nice lady if the place was Swiss and she said French. I still confused because of the name. Perhaps they are from the French speaking part of Switzerland.

I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed this place! 5 stars all the way. I’ve never been disappointed with anything from there. From the croissants to the pastries, the cakes, all GOOD! My personal favorites are the eclairs(both chocolate and vanilla, vanilla is custard) and the chocolate croissants(can you tell i’m a chocolate freind?!) Try this place out, the owners are very nice and sweet. Small bakery with just a few tables and the 1 time I went in for lunch I was glad to get in early becuase there were a lot of folks that came in after. Small place though, so not at all a good place for a group of more than 3 or so. Take note, they do not take any kind of cards for purchases less than $ 10.

I am visiting the Norcross area from Houston, Texas and was so impressed/charmed/dazzled by this place I had to write. I had the chocolate almond croissant and have to say it’s just about the best thing I have ever put in my mouth. Seriously. The rich, flaky, buttery texture was so perfect I couldn’t do or think of anything else while I was eating it. The place was sweet with wood tables all with a view of the glass case of goodies and the service was excellent. For a moment I fantasized quitting my job, moving to Atlanta, and working for this wonderful place in return for French lessons and all the pastries I could eat. It’s THAT good. PS– the bakery will soon be adding espresso/espresso based drinks to their menu :-)

There is really nothing you can say wrong about this place. I’ve been going there for years and have never been disappointed. One of the best places for desserts/breads in town; unfortunately, most folks don’t even know about it. It’s run by a French couple, who are the only employees of the bakery — the guy is a baker, working 4 am to 8 pm six days a week and the lady is running the front of the shop. Talk about Atlanta chain restaurant paradise… I do make a 40 mile trip up there pretty often just to pick up baguettes, croissants, pain aux chocolat, almond & chocolate croissants for breakfast. The stuff is soo good, you’d never step your foot in a bakery imitation like Henry’s or Corner Bakery. They serve a light lunch(selection of soups, sandwiches, and salads) and make cakes by order. This place does deserve all these 4 – 5 stars given by everybody who reveiwed it — it is by far one of the best bakeries in town.

WOW!!! What a place! This is probably the coolest find I have seen around here. A VERY European place– the lady has a strong accent. The most beautiful deserts I have, literally, ever seen. They are immaculate. The croissants are the best I have had in Atlanta– maybe anywhere. Sandwiches are served on them– delicious! A must for anyone who lives in this area.

Stopped by after doing a «nearby» search on yizzle, and though initially hard to find, was glad I did. Even though it’s nestled amongst a star*ucks and taco yac, Swiss bakery has a homey(that’s right homie), authentic feel. I had the flan, which had mo egg than the Latino version and a flaky crust(no complaints there either). I’ll be back, au revior Unilocalees

I found another place to get great chocolate croissants — yay! This real French bakery offers freshly-baked pastries and housemade desserts such as cakes, petit fours, tiramisu, and such. A real French bakery using French ingredients to rival the ubiquitous Korean bakeries all over town. During lunchtime, this small café serves sandwiches and soups. Sandwiches are $ 6.50 and soups are $ 4.95. I had the chicken salad sandwich on baguette — huge sandwich with good consistency chicken salad with apples for sweetness and crunch. The lettuce and tomato slices were very fresh. The French onion soup was not bad at all. Pastries start at $ 2, tarts range from $ 3 – 4.
