We came here after receiving a gift certificate for Christmas. We had sworn off Outback a few years ago in CA when we had such a horrible experience that we couldn’t justify ever spending money here again. I’ll start the review by saying that this FL Outback redeemed the franchise for us and we won’t be hesitant about opting to return. It was a date night for us, so we were splurgy and ordered an app, the Coconut Shrimp, and I even ordered a drink, the Blackberry Sangria. Both were fantastic. The shrimp were big and cooked perfectly, the Sangria was wonderful… fruity and light with the perfect pop of blackberry. Great way to start the evening!!! We both just had to try the pecan blue cheese salad, and I’m really glad we did. Normally, a salad only gets mentioned in my Unilocal reviews when it transcends the realm of normal olé salad and enters the land of memorable salad. This did. There was a lot going on in this salad, from the dressing(which was a little heavy handed, but not a deal breaker) to the whimsical pairing of the blue cheese and pecans, our taste buds soared and my husband and I mused over what a wonderful salad it was. We ordered our steaks, and we are always fussy with our cook temp requests. Hubbie wants it rare, so rare that it is only cooked long enough to barely render the fat. I want it medium rare… but more to the rare end of the spectrum. Our server listened to us, smiled and ensured us that it would arrive as requested… and by gosh, it certainly did. Our entire dinner was delightful and our server was friendly and outgoing. I’m thrilled to have found an Outback that lives up to my expectations for the chain, as I had honestly lost hope in it(sad since it used to be my favorite, my go-to for birthdays and events). I’m looking forward to returning and hoping that future visits yield the same experience. =)

Unilocal burn coming up! Second time trying to get prime rib and lobster special, and they don’t have any prime rib. Not wasting our gift cards on compromise food. This started out as my husband’s birthday meal and not available both times. Do I sense a bait and switch scheme? Yes! This is a steakhouse after all.

While restaurant was fairly clean, the service and follow up while requesting items like ranch dressing was pretty poor. Cost has gone up, food quality has falling, and food presentation is abismal. Presentation. Of food is better at denny’s. Ordered a fish and shrimp upgrade. Large plate with small piece of fish and side disk of not so warm shirmp. No side of veggue, potatoe, lettuce and anything. Paying $ 18 plus for a small piece of food on a plain olate. Between highbcoat, semi warm food, poor service,. this chain has lost another customer and my family. Years ago it was a nice chain.

I had a good time and really wished that I was dressed appropriately. But we had a long day at the water parks so hey whatever. But I did like my visit here. I tried their ribs and omg its very good didn’t expect it to be any good. Of you are near this location you’ve got to try their ribs.

I’m On vacation, and I came in for lunch with some family, celebrating with my dad for father’s day. understandably it is a Sunday and also being father’s day, I assume that there will be a wait for a table. host told us 20 minutes. it was actually 40 minutes. understandable again. we sat at our table and literally waited 20 minutes. no one ever came. I got the attention of the hostess cleaning off a table. I asked her who our server would be. Just like clock work a server rushes to our table. Good afternoon she says how are you, it’s a very busy day today. I said hello and I am sure that it is. She took our drink order, and then 10 minutes later a completely different woman came out with our tea coffee and water. We were confused at this point and I asked her was she going to be our server. She said she would swap out the tables, to serve us because the first one was not even in sight. We then had our appetizer without plates napkins and cutlery. The coconut shrimp was delicious. Then we met our awesome server Jeremiah. He was great, very attentive. Brought out our drink refills without us even asking. The manager then came to our table and asked what had happened. We told her and she apologized for us waiting so long, told us that there was no excuse for our wait that they were staffed to their max for today. After the terrible experience we had, I must say that Jeremiah was excellent, very friendly, sincere and accommodating. I give Jeremiah five stars, but for the overall experience before him, I have to give it only 3 stars, it would be 1 if it had not been for him. Just for that I bumped it to 3. Next time that I am in Apopka, I will visit this restaurant as long as Jeremiah is working. Oh and thanks for the dessert sampler that we received as an apology!

My partner in crime and I stopped in after getting stuck on I-4, which derailed our original plan of eating in downtown Orlando. Typical Outback. Hasn’t been updated to the new style or décor yet. Even though it was almost 3 when we entered it was still lunch hours. We opted to try the lunch steak tacos and coconut shrimp. Both were good. The sauce that came withthe shrimp had a nice touch of heat to it. Really liked the flavor on the tacos. Place was nice and clean. Servers were attentive.

Great staff here after the second time coming here the staff at the bar knows my name. Always friendly and prompt service. I usually come here once to twice a week when I first moved here from NY. Love their blooming Onion and of course their steaks are great. Trying the Flat Iron steak tonight If you are around this way, I would recommend stopping by for some food or simple a drink or just to chat with the locals and the wonderful staff here

Outback use to get 5 stars every single time like clockwork, and this time the service was great, and the food was predictably reasonable… but… I remember about 9 months about when Outback was a great value and you go could go in, and have a decent dinner for $ 35-$ 45 for 2 people(without alcoholic beverages). Now it seems that Outback Corporate has gotten in its own way AGAIN and is starting to nickel and dime everyone in hopes to increase bottom line profits. Let me give you just a few of many possible examples. 4 things that I would routinely ask for, would be no additional charge on the final bill, but now… Extra parmasean cheese on a ceasar side salad is an extra .99 Extra if you order a «super loaded» baked potato there is a .99 charge for extra toppings If you ask for cabernet sauce for your steak it’s 1.49 I’ve also noticed the Outback Special creep up 1.00 here and a 1.00 there as well. For example the 6oz Outback Special used to be 9.99, now it’s 11.99, at this pace, pretty soon it wont be a «Special» at all and be priced up there with the victorias filet Will an extra $ 4 in bs charges keep me from going to Outback? No, just the point of nickel and diming is pathetic in my opinion, especially when you’ve been going to the same restaurant for years, and the servers don’t even tell you that any of these details have changed, and you get little surprise on your final check. It’s to the point where last time we were in on Friday, I actually had to double check with our server to see if there was an upcharge for getting more bloom sauce, or more butter, that’s how ridiculous it’s become. I don’t even want to think about soda refills, wow.

I’m not sure what happened. Used to have great service and great food. But last 4 times they messed up our orders the steaks where not as tasty once they got them to the right temperature. Won’t be going back. I gave them 4 more chances to shape up. Didn’t happen and that makes me very sad. Used to be my favorite steak house

We were a party of 8 from out of town when we decided to go to Outback for dinner. I was leading the caravan or cars and while in route, I called the restaurant for call-ahead seating. Ringing the line, I pressed«1» for call-ahead seating and was promptly routed to a hostess. I told her that I would like to put our names on the call-ahead list, and she quickly informed me that they don’t take call ahead requests before 8pm(this was 6:30pm). I explained that we were 5 miles away, had a party of eight, and that as a large party, I wanted to give them a heads up. She said that they weren’t busy and they would begin putting tables together for us. I wish I had asked her name! When we arrived, we were greeted between the two entry doors by a male host, who had a electronic tablet FULL of call-ahead names, but with no mention of mine. Typically, he asked who I talked to, and not having a name to give him, was quickly dismissed. I was given a pager and was told the wait would be an hour. Yes, they had a call-ahead list, were busy, despite my call moments earlier being told they weren’t and that call-ahead wasn’t available. We waited an hour, outside in the cold with a young kid in our party. We asked if someone was serving drinks outside, and they assured us they were. 15 minutes in, a server came out to take our order and asked if we would be eating outside. We were only there for drinks to pass the time, as it was about 50 degrees out. Drinks came much later and again, she was very hard to find after that. Service inside was okay, with only one in the party having issues with their meal — an overcooked steak, which they just ate, and cold french fries. When he mentioned the french fry issue, it was quickly fixed. I would not be coming back here due to the poor handling of call-ahead seating. I had the feeling on the phone that she didn’t want to be bothered and when I got to the store, it was pretty obvious as we weren’t listed on their list.

It’s Outback. What more do you expect? Not sure, but the steaks have always been good, cooked right, and flavorful if you get the house spices. I find the Strip Steaks dry and a bit tough, but the fillets are always juicy and delicious. Strangely, as I travel a lot, Outback is always dependable no matter what city I am in. I notice the large amount of «regulars» at the bar. They tend to get things I don’t, like Meatloaf, Pork Chops, and burgers. They always look large and great? Maybe next time?

I ordered take out and overall my wife and I enjoyed our food. I had the sirloin and coconut shrimp combo with a dressed baked potato snd salad. My steak was cooked medium as requested and everything was packsged well. My wife ordered the bone-in rib eye with dressed potato and salad. She ordered her steak medium amd was disappointed it was a tougher medium well. We also ordered the cheese fries and those are s little tougher to keep fresh packaged up until you get them home bit they tastrd good especially with the ranch sauce. For dessert we got the chocolate thunder from down under. Always good bit I wished I had more whipped cream. In summary I think it is easier to live with a small mistake at a fast food drove thru spending less than $ 20 than a nicer restaurant spending $ 50+ and not be able or willing to correct it.

I’m not typically an Outback fan, but I forcefully went and was pleasantly surprised. It’s not that the food is bad it’s just nothing I crave. Today I noticed some new menu options so I tried the 2 fish taco combo. They were amazing!!! A. They have a good amount of fish B. The taste is on point, super flavorful C. Great price $ 7.99(3 tacos + side $ 11.99) I’ll definitely be coming back to try the steak and chicken version. Very attentive service from Lorrie W!

Cold beer and well made cocktails, and nobody can screw up cheese fries! For the most part the entrees we ordered were all delicious! The downside to this visit was my salad and entrée portion. My salad was served warm, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a couple minutes. And I ordered the salmon and the portion of fish I got looked to be 4 ½oz, now on the menu it doesn’t specify the portion, but the waitress said it was 6oz. I believe the end piece of my fish may have fallen off during the grilling process and they just didn’t realize it. But the point is I said something and nothing was done, the waitress just flat out said I was wrong, very rude, end of story. She lost her tip and the restaurant lost a star and any chance of me visiting in the future.

I normally get steak and grilled lobster tail with a bloomin onion. the steak is normally dry and im not sure how the do the lobster tail. sometimes it looks like they just cut a single tail down the middle and it doesnt seem like much meat. sometimes its just a tail untouched. seems like a lot more meat that way. the last time we dinned in the quality of food has gone up. the steak even though well done was very juicy, the bloomin onion was outstanding. normally you get some of it nice and crispy and tbe center of it is all mushy. This time the whole bloomin onion was nice and crispy. This may have been a one time mistake. but I hope not. All in all the food is still good, take out orders are correct and service when dinning in is never a issue. now if the food is consistent the way it was last time I dinned in(juicy steak and crispy bloomin) this would easily be 5 stars.

Not sure what’s happening with other reviewers, but this restaurant is one of the few my husband and I count on for consistency every.single.time. From service to food quality, we are never disappointed. The one negative is the frequent a/c issue, which is the ONLY reason we rate it a 4 instead of 5. Eating in a warm, stuffy environment with lots of cranky people is not pleasant. Happening once is one thing, but it’s happened on a few recent occasions. Not so good. Otherwise, we can’t say enough good. LOVE.
