I couldn’t find any fault with this Ramada. Clean and well stocked room. GREATPRICE! I got a rate using AARP of $ 47.99. Comfy bed. Couch in room. AC worked great. Microwave and Fridge. I highly recommend this Ramada. Very pleasant staff as well.

I must be staying at a renovated Ramada Inn based on the previous reviews. I walked into a clean, well maintained facility. The young lady at the front desk was extremely helpful in getting my room at about $ 55/night. At this rate I wasn’t expecting too much but was presently surprised when I entered the room. The furnishings have been updated, room painted, flat screen tv. The carpet is old but clean. The beds are comfortable and the linens were great. Overall, I liked this Ramada and the next time I’m here I will be staying at this location.

The reviews on this hotel are extremely accurate. I feel bad for Linda who lost her money from her wallet… unfortunately, this is true of ANY hotel no matter what you pay for it… even 5-star Diamond Resort hotels have petty theft. Nothing you can do except keep stuff out of sight and use the hotel safe whenever possible. I did feel very safe at this hotel even though there were some shady characters staying in the hotel. Definitely a blue collar worker type hotel whose guests were mostly workers I noticed, working on local road projects, and other construction sites. Lots of bikers, too, for the annual bike week celebrations. We stayed at this Ramada just last week(March 14 – 18, 2012) while down for a baseball tournament. It appears to be fairly old, run down, and in need of major renovation. It is a definite 2-star hotel even when all works smoothly. The people who work there are friendly enough, but it’s just a cheap, low, low budget hotel that we were able to stomach for 5 days. We won’t stay there again. I booked the place through where they received 3−4-star ratings. I did it because I got my airfare and hotel at a very reduced rate for 3 of us who were traveling. The ratings were inaccurate and made it seem that the hotel was at least«decent.» But it was well below average. My major complaint was that there were not enough house keeping personnel to do the basics like clean your room and provide maid service until usually as late as 8PM in the evening! Are you kidding me? We were gone all day one day and came home to our rooms expecting to shower and get ready for a nice dinner… NOTOWELS, ROOMNOTMADEUPYET! We went out to dinner and came back around 10 and the rooms were finally made up. Happened 3 of 4 nights in a row. Just makes you feel horrible when you are on vacation and trying to enjoy yourself and you have to deal with this kind of stuff. One other issue is the stale, musty smell of the rooms. Yeah, it’s a non-smoking hotel, but people have obviously smoked there in our non-smoking room, so you can imagine what it smells like when the window AC unit blows in the air from outside and recirculates it year after year from inside the musty room. Mattresses were comfortable and shower was adequate, but sink stopper was broken and fixture needed to be replaced. Exhaust fan for shower room was inadequate. When toilet got stopped up one day, we asked for a plunger and they gave us a broken plunger and the thing overflowed onto the floor. The maintenance worker had to come in and use a snake to fix the toilet. Yuk! Just not a great experience. The pool area is fairly nice, but NOTOWELS. Duh! This is Florida, people, get with the program, people use pools all the time. Provide some towels down by the pool, why don’t you? Breakfast bar was just«ehh» and provided the usual 3-choices of Kellogg’s cereals, hand-poured waffle irons, assorted pre-packaged danish, a few different bagels and some coffees and juices. But the bar area was very small and with 4 – 5 people at a time trying to get their food, it was crowded. Those free breakfasts are what they are, but this one was below par and just not as nice as most other hotels. Maybe Ramada as a brand is losing ground to the others? Hard to say, but we won’t be staying in one again for quite a while.

I am shocked to be the first person to rate this hotel. It’s old and smells terrible and the probability that you will step into your room and promptly vomit is surprisingly high. A relative of mine has asthma and couldn’t stay in the musty, smoking-floor room to which she was assigned. Not only did they fail to offer her better accommodations, they told her that if she chose not to stay here that night, she’d still have to pay for that night’s room. This hotel may have cheap rates but they are not worth the hassle. Do yourself a favor and take the 1 minute stroll from the Ramada to the Marriott directly behind it.
