Was good when it opened, but they have since closed. The sign out front indicates a Turkish/mediterranean restaurant moving in.

We live close by so we decided to give it s try. We were super impressed with their happy hour sushi choices. 4 dollars a roll. As a vegetarian it was perfect. I got the Japanese cookie roll I just said no salmon. My favorite now! Would def recommend this place to others. Only had sushi so i don’t know how the noodles or rice dishes are. Only down fall is there waitress. She seems out of it and didn’t know what a certain dish was, instead of saying«let me ask» she said«I don’t know but you can try it to see»… Totally not the point… Other than that I would have given it 5 stars

So, I work just down the street from Wassabi and watched as it was opening. I decided to stop in for lunch this week and I was not disappointed. I liked this place and will be back again. The service was great and the waitress was very friendly. As it was lunchtime it was a little empty, so maybe this would be different during a busy dinner shift. I also liked the oshibori treatment(hot towel service). I can tend to be particular about my raw fish and have frequented many sushi restaurants and Asian Fusion places. Before I comment on the food I did have, I would have liked a few more options on the menu. As it was just myself for lunch and I do not eat much rice, noodles or fried stuff, I felt a little limited. A small appetizer sashimi plate 7 – 10 pieces instead of 20+ would be a nice addition. Another appetizer that would be great is a Tako Poke or Tako Su. I am also a fan of salmon skin and this was not on the menu at all. OK, so I ordered miso soup, Unagi nigiri and the Tuna Kobachi. The miso soup was tasty with a good balance of tofu and nori but maybe a little heavy on the miso paste. I dont like my soup too heavy or cloudy. I really liked the Unagi but the slice portions were very thin. The Tuna Kobachi was the star of the meal. Had a great presentation and flavors. The cilantro and mango bits with a side of sliced cucumber made it complete. As the others said, this place has just recently opened so I look forward to see how things develop and will have to try happy hour or dinner one day soon.

Nice little family owned Asian Fusion restaurant tucked away in a corner of Altamonte Springs off 436. Tried their thai curry and rice, Lao style salad, and a noodle dish. All of these dishes were really nice and offered authentic flavor. This place is an Asian fusion restaurant where you can order sushi and some different items that are more Thai and Vietnamese. Wassabi also has a nice drink selection including Thai iced tea and Vietnamese coffee.

Very clean, I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in! The ambiance is friendly & relaxing, with jazz music playing. We were greeted with hot towels to clean our hands. Extensive menu of a variety of Asian foods. We ordered Shirley Temples, Thai Iced Tea, Pan Fried Dumplings, and the Love Boat(Sushi Boat). The Dumplings were good with the sauce. A bit soft in texture. The Love Boat came with I think 4 – 5 rolls and an extra plate of Sushi/Sashimi. Because I’m pregnant, I’m limited to the sushi I can eat. Definitely ask what kind of rolls with the boat before ordering. We weren’t disappointed but might have ordered special rolls(vs the boat) since I couldn’t eat some of it(again, pregancy, what was I thinking!). Family loved it and the Salmon looked Sooo good. Avocados a bit brown but we picked it off. This restaurant just opened so we expected a few kinks, we will definitely be back!

This is one of those doomed locations that nothing seems to work well at, but it is on our street so we had to try it. We were pleasantly surprised with the food presentation, temperature and taste. The wait was a bit long for lunch time but it seemed our food was all prepared fresh. The sushi was decent, Japanese udon was really nice and yakitori had lovely strips of fresh veggies and delicious sweet sauce. Kids menu is $ 5. Lunch specials from$ 7. And they brought complementary miso soup that was excellent! I was skeptical on how fusion it would be., but I feel they rightly named it based on the menu descriptions however it is basically Japanese.
