My boyfriend and I decided to stop here one night because my coworker had raved about it. Our expectations were far surpassed. The employees were sweet, the atmosphere was casual but clean and comfy, and the food!!! Oh man!!! My boyfriend is Puerto Rican so everything got compared to his mom’s food but in a positive light. The following night he called me to say that he was going back again when he got off work. We have since become regulars. The coffee, the pastries, the empanadas, everything, is outstanding. If you are in the mood for authentic Spanish food in the central Florida area, you have to hit this place up.

I’m from Miami, so I know my Cuban. Usually in the form of La Carreta or a hole in the wall diner where you aren’t seated, you find a seat. So coming to a clean, order at the counter Cuban place was unique to me. But the quality was there. Made an order with a friend and we got –Lechon Asado: the roast pork was delicious. Definitely made with mojo. –Pan con Bistec: we compromised as we both had wanted the palomilla steak. Only thing missing was the sticks(which do come on the vaca con queso). –Tostones: large, crispy. pretty good. –Maduros: I love maduros, sweet as always –Black beans: always good. –Salad: We needed a non-carb –Croquettas: I had to get an order, should have went through them faster. If I had one of these out in California, it would kill.

First thing I noticed about this new location is how new and shiny everything is. I was greeted promptly and cheerfully by a young lady. I just needed to pick up some pastries for a dinner party I was going to. I let her know what I wanted, paid and off I went. I will update this review when I come here for a meal. The pastries were a hit and they were delicious.

Super Friendly Staff, and Great Cuban Food! Well worth the stop! Went close to closing time, after 8pm, and we managed to squeak in a sit down dinner with fresh roasted coffee and fresh made desserts afterward, because of the Fast Service. The coffee was Fantastic! As was everything else we had. The only superficial disappointment was the dry tostones. Without that hiccup, it was flawless, so 5 Stars!

There were so many delicious things on the menu, it was hard to choose! If a Cuban place can’t do a Cuban right, then there’s a problem. So I decided to give it a try. And it was great! Plenty of food for the price! I ended up taking half of the sandwich home. There is a large list of side items and I believe all of the entrees include at least 1. I also ordered the Colada(double espresso) and oh my goodness, it was perfect. Just the perfect ratio of sugar to espresso. I definitely recommend ordering it with your meal! I wanna go back just for that! The seating is one big problem in such a small space. They get pretty busy during lunch and there was not enough tables for the amount of people coming in. We basically had to stalk people at their tables and watch them finish their meal in order to grab the table in time. I may just get a Colada to go next time!

They forgot my order four times and when I finally received it, the onions on my skirt steak were not cooked all the way through and basically raw. I do love me some onions but not when it can make me cry. We ordered the sandwich too and that was nothing more than a typical deli sandwich that has been toasted. I love me some Cuban food but this place disappointed. I will not return.

As vegetarians we liked the option of the Veggie plate. You get to choose 4 sides. They have brown rice as well as white, black beans and pinto beans without animal matter in them, fresh veggies and salad, decent fries and tasty roasted red potatoes. The beans were a bit salty to our taste but all in all we liked it here. The Cuban music is quite loud so if you look for a quiet place, go somewhere else. But the atmosphere is nice and the place looks very clean.

I’ve gone in two separate occasions, both times have been okay. The first time I ordered small: an empandilla made from beef and the quesito. Both were tasty and I spent around $ 5 in total. Yesterday I returned for a late lunch, the lady behind the counter was very nice and quickly took my order of the half sandwich and side with a soda plus a quesito. My total was just a bit over $ 12. The cuban sandwich had a good size to it with a toasty bread but while the meats were okay. the ham they used was cold. Everything else was not so it threw me off when I bit in and had a warmish sandwich with a cold ham. They had toasted the bread… but the cheese was not melted either. The side I got were fries which were good. This time the quesito didn’t have the huge chunky sugar like the first time — it was much easier to chew on and the flavors of the pastry, cream cheese and melted sugars were delicious!

Terrible disappointment. This place has meager portions of barely decent Cuban food for a steep price. The only thing it’s good for is coffee and pastries. I don’t understand how this place has such good reviews.

For delicious Cuban food in the Orlando area, look no further! I stopped in amidst running errands at nearby shops. I had to rush home, so I chose ordered for pick up. I called and placed my order and it was ready in about 15 minutes. When I stepped in the staff extended welcoming greetings and I immediately felt a comfy, cozy vibe. They also had a section for baked goods. Now to the food! I ordered two«platas» — Vaca Frita and Ropa Vieja with congri, pinto beans, maduros, and salad. Just catching a whiff of this grub made my mouth watery! And the taste did not disappoint. I preferred the Vaca Frita to the Ropa Vieja, but they were both delicious. This was my first time having congri — and it ended up being my favorite side. I would definitely come here again, sit and eat and chat with the friendly staff.

Go for breakfast! We don’t have a lot of options for breakfast in this area, so when Zaza came to town, I was happy to see they had a breakfast menu. Better than that, it ended up being really good! Get their breakfast combo which includes a coffee drink. I recommend the café con leche(however, if you want refills get the regular coffee). You get eggs how you like them, choice of protein and a whole Cuban bread which is delicious! You can also get a sandwich combo made with the Cuban bread. We’ve also been many times for dinner for the traditional Cuban food and it’s all been very good. They give you a ton of food with each meal, including three sides! I can barely read the menu because it’s mostly in Spanish, lol, but the staff is great and will explain anything to you. The only downside is the size of the restaurant as it’s small. Finding a table can be hard but they have outside seating. Go on Tuesday and get two awesome dinners for $ 12.

This place was recommendd to us by a friend and my husband and I tried it right away and were not disappointed. It feels quite authentic and the staff is super friendly and helpful. That is one of the best parts about this restaurant. Be aware! It can get quite crowded around breakfast and brunch time! We have been here twice and I enjoyed my second experience better just because I found the food I liked best and it was less crowded. The first time I got an egg sandwich. I am not a huge breakfast eater so honestly to me it tasted like a typical egg sandwich but my husband loved his. However, the second time I came I got the cinnamon oatmeal!!! IT. WAS. PHENOMENAL. I know what I will be getting every single time we go here now. I also got the fresh squeezed OJ but I was sad it comes out kind of warm and not chilled :(I almost asked for ice but decided against it and just sucked it up. Coffee con leche is amazing and authentic and my husband couldn’t stop raving about it. They put some magical sugar spices in it that make it taste like heaven. All in all this place is a gem and worth your time :)

ZaZa is a great place for breakfast, lunch, & dinner. This location you order at the counter & then have your food delivered to you. They don’t have much seating, so large groups are better for take-out. On Tuesdays they do a 2 for $ 12 deal for dinner only. All of their meals have great flavor & variety. They also make all coffee fresh per cup. If going for breakfast, the meals come with a huge piece of Cuban bread. They offer great variety in serving beef, chicken, fish, & vegetarian meals. Their lunch/dinner meals come with 3 sides & they have a huge selection. A must treat is their empanadas or pastries. The staff is very nice & take care of delivering & clearing away your plates.

I was in the mood to try something different and what a better place to find it other than my loooooooong list of bookmarks. The set up: A descent size restaurant next door to sports authority and across from the costco plaza in Altamonte Springs. They offer outdoor seating as we as limited seating in the inside. Would probably fit 30 people indoors. As you walk in, they have two big LED screens with a list of menu items, if you look a little further to the left, you’ll find the regular menu which you can then take your time to read a detailed description of each menu item. Menu: Quiet a few choices, breakfast, sandwiches, platters, soups as well as some freshly made pastries(quesitos were AMAZING, definitely grabbing one or two at a $ 1.50 each). «Vaca con queso» was my pick for the day which was recommended by Lolitta(super friendly lady at the register), a piece of braised beef seared with onions and topped with grilled onions and provolone cheese, all together inside a freshly made Cuban bread, you get to pick one side dish and I went with plantains. Overall, service was good and food was delicious. Definitely will be back and bring more company.

I’ve tried this location a few times and I have to admit they’re consistently good. Is it as good as Miami? probably not, but still pretty darn good Cuban at a good price. I’m not really a fan of the décor, as it’s very fast-food-like, very american so to speak, but it’s probably more of the liking of most, as it’s bright and clean, and with some nice red touches around the inside. I’ve eaten there once, and had orders to go a few times, and service is quite prompt. You order at the counter and if you sit down they’ll give you a number and you can wait at your table, or you can wait on the side if you’re taking your order to go. The orders are a very generous size, and sandwiches come with a side, and if you eat there also with a bit of salad. I haven’t tried their pastries, but they look pretty good as well. I’m looking forward to trying their breakfast sometime, but they’re definitely a good and economic lunch/dinner option if you like Cuban food.

Want fast, yet delicious cuban food? Zaza is the spot to be. I love that they added this location close to my place and whenever I have a craving for cuban food, this is my go to for sure! The staff is super friendly and always checking up to make sure the food is good and that everything you’ve ordered came out. This place gets packed and I don’t see why it wouldn’t! So if you wanna avoid the lines, definitely order to-go AND on Tuesdays they have a special, 2 meals for $ 12(correct me on pricing) and it only applies for dinner, but regardless that is a DEAL! They’re already inexpensive, so you can’t be that! As for food, yum! I’ve had their breakfast platters, all which are really good. The beef empanada’s are another goodie. Great flavor, lots of filling, and awesome crust. As for the lunch/dinner plato’s(plates) the vaca frita is really good, mojo chicken, and ropa vieja good. You get a choice of 3 sides. HELLO! 3 sides! My favorite part knowing is having lots of sides: D I usually love getting the rice, black beans, and tostones(ask it with the garlic aioli sauce) Lastly, don’t forget to get some quesitos! Oh my gosh. these are addicting! Just get a dozen of it. I bet you can’t just eat one. These buttery, flaky, filled with cream cheesed and caramelized sugar on top. Mercy, a little peace of heaven right there!

Not even slighty disappointed. This place is amazing! The staff really makes the place they are so wonderful and the food just makes everything even better. I would say the best meal i tasted was the palmolla steak(not sure i spelled right). All the sides are amazing. Flan is top notch and thr quesito puts my taste buds in heaven. So to sum it all up, youve got to try this place out… and then keep coming.

5 stars for surprisely good cuban food and nice atmosphere! I heard through word-of-mouth that Zaza was great new cuban diner to try, so when I heard of the new one opening in my neighborhood I was happy to test it out. And better yet, I received a free coupon voucher in our mailbox for a speciality coffee(yesss!) and with no purchase necessary, except you needed to use it during the morning hours 7am-11am. My husband and I decided to try it out on a Friday morning, so it wasn’t crowded at all. It was closer to the brunch hour, as we got there right at 11am. We ordered the Café con Leche and Cortado for our coffee drinks. And split an omelet with everything(tomatoes, onions, bacon, sausage, cheese etc), with also came with buttered cuban bread and your choice of a side, we got the tostones(large portion!). I also wanted to get an order of the oatmeal al caribe, but side we got there too late in the morning, they were out. All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. The drinks were served in real mugs/untensils(not paper) and when our food came out our plate was warm and the portion was large! Also, to take note, the menu says breakfast is served all day and only certain breakfast combos are served with coffee. I’m looking forward to going back and trying some new menu items!

What can I say? I first fell in love with Zaza at my US Airways terminal where I would get a café con leche and possibly a guava pastry. And now that they have this location in Altamonte Springs, this has become my favorite lunch spot. Lunch is always crowded here, but the lines and tables move quickly. Vaca frita with brown rice, black beans and tostones and maybe a quesito or guava pastry for later, are my go-to’s. When i’m feeling a little more healthy I’ll get the mojo chicken breast and get a side of their grilled veggies. It’s so good, my office loves it too. Don’t listen to some of the reviews saying it isn’t authentic. It’s delicious and you get a lot of food for what you pay for.
