WHY did this replace Tango’s?!? Tango’s was great and had fabulous catering. Does Amarillo really NEED another burger place? Especially one that isn’t too much different than all the others?

We came off highway blind not wanting chain food and found BYOB. Pretty neat décor. Simple and straight forward menu. Staffing on a Friday evening was light.(A large group came in though while we were there though). Burgers were good but not great. Fries were not good. Overall I was thinking it would be better.

IThis place is clean tip top shape burger are always fresh and hot it is a lot of coin for a burger BUT its worth it fresh beef never frozen. And you can taste the freshness toppings are all fresh bum is nicely toasted and soft I enjoy coming here to eat the fans and the A/C are turned up way to high it makes the food cold fast and will blow any paper or napkin you have on the table away All and all I have nothing to say bad about this place good burgers the fries are OK not a fan of the skinny fry I like a meatier fry like a steak fry would well accommodate this Burger way better but that’s my opinion I would give this place a try I’m pretty sure you will be back lol

The food is fantastic. If you go, go to the one on hillside. The service there is great. The girl on Western is terrible. She acts like everything you need is a burden on her. Very rude.

Let me start out by saying that the burgers were decent, nothing amazing, but reasonable enough for the price. With that out of the way, the way they executed the byob concept, however, was strange. It really wasn’t THAT different than how a normal burger place does it. They have regular burgers and you can request different sort of toppings and they make it for you. I was expecting a bar set up where you can put the toppings on yourself. To me, that is a true byob. They have a decent array of toppings, but they essentially advertise the fact that they buy in bulk from Sam’s. So there’s that, the second thing that was weird is that they don’t distinguish between eat in and carry out, so, you are sitting at a table and they bring you a bag with the buglers and fries in it, which is annoying when you are eating in because the fries fall out of the containers and end up in the bag to fish out. To me, there is no need for that when you are eating in. They also didn’t have good markings to distinguish the different burgers you have ordered. Now, for the service, I’ll agree with the other comment that it isn’t really the greatest, but it was very typical of a place that employes, and seems to be managed by, a bunch of teenagers. To me, it wasn’t so much rudeness as it was indifference. If you lower your expectations, you’ll find the service just fine. The décor in the resturant was bland bland bland. It is the kind of place that Gordon Ramsey and Robert Irvine totally gut and re-do.

While the burgers are great and that they have a great student meal discount, don’t go in expecting great customer service ESPECIALLY if you’re a student. The cashier was too busy taking a picture on her phone when I walked in and did not even look at me when I went up to the order line. When I told her I wanted the student meal, she was rude and wanted to know many things about my schooling. When I went to sit down, she told me to sit on the other side of the restaurant because she wanted to clean the other side during a lunch hour. When the next customers walked in, she was nice to them because they had kids and were a family and they did not get the student meal. She struck up a conversation with them and avoided me. I asked for no salt and my fries were covered in it. As I left, I politely threw my trash away and cleaned my table for her. She never once said«thank you» or «have a good day» like she did to every other person that had come and gone in that building. Needless to say, BYOB is not a place I will be going back to anytime soon. Good job.
