As is the case with all of their restaurants, this one is a winner. Food is reasonably priced and served by pleasant servers. Service was slower than usual. Looks like management didn’t schedule enough people for the President’s Day holiday. If you are looking for the Four Seasons, this ain’t it. It is what it is. Comfort food. Can’t go wrong at any Cracker Barrel.

I have to a few great CBs on my trip out west but sorry to say have to give this one 2 stars. Ordered meatloaf with 3 sides to go. Then looked around the store until my order was ready, live I’ve done at 2 other CB’s this week. Took a little longer the the previous ones but it seemed a little busy so I u sets took. Once 25 minutes went by I asked if they could check on my order. Told me then they were out of rice so asked if I wanted another side. Took the Mac and cheese. When I got to my room 5 minutes away) my food was ice cold, except for the Mac and cheese. Guess they let my food just sit there and then didn’t check if it had cooled before giving it to me. Would have went back to get something else but was just stopped there for the night and had no time to go back and forth.

Stopped at this Cracker Barrel. My parents ordered the fried chicken special. It came out burned and tasted bitter. The server offered to redo it. After 30 minutes it came back the same way, burned. The manager came to the table and offered to re do again however she said that because they had been frying food all day long that the oil was old and everything comes out burned so it would not help to do again. This was about 5pm so I guess you need to get there early.

My five stars goes towards the super friendly staff! If you’ve gone to one Cracker Barrel you’ve basically gone to them all. The food is just about the same no matter what town you live in. I’ve gone to several in the Houston surrounding areas and even Louisiana. But I’ve never had such great service like I did here in good olé’ Amarillo! But if you are interested to know about the food well all I can say is I’ve tried several breakfast & lunch dishes and I have yet to be disappointed!

This place was horrible as for service and who ever is cooking be food in the restaurant sucks. My waiter was very rude and only brought us water once. Never checked on me to see if I needed a thing to drink. The manager was white and racist as hell so be careful because she might spit in your food and tried to charge me more then what I was even suppose to be charged. NEVERGOTOTHISLOCATION

While at our stay at the Ashmore Hotel we woke up and decided to do Cracker Barrel since it was within walking distance. Waited 15 or so minutes to get a table which we expected on a Saturday at 10 in the morning. When we sat down we were pleasantly greeted by an innocently, sweet young lady by the name of Shelly. She was an absolute delight. She was thorough, attentive and just all around good woman! Food was good as well but Shelly definitely made the experience an A+. Keep up the good work!

Stopped by to fuel up before a long drive. I’ve been to several Cracker Barrels in the past, and this one did not disappoint. We shared a large breakfast platter and a pancake. The breakfast platter was good. It was nice to get a chance to sample everything. The pancake was super fluffy and had a nice, slight crust that really added a nice crispness. Overall, it was a good experience and a great way to start our long drive.

The waitress was very nice. The food was very disappointing at this location. The ham steak was paper thin, the grits were the constancy of soup. I felt like I wasted my money.

My friend & I eat here for lunch occasionally & it’s always fine. The food is average & service is ok. On a Sunday, we went at 9 {they close at 10} & ordered with a large group. We received our food at 10& I asked for gravy {which should have come with my meal} The manager came out & said it was 5 minutes after they closed & that they had thrown it out. He was not pleasant & I don’t think it is appropriate to tell customers that you are already closed, when the reason we are still there is because we were waiting for our food. Our sever, Jordan, was polite & helpful. The manager should find a different line of work.

I used to love the homemade(not instant) oatmeal here. But they changed it and it is NASTY now. If I want stuff added in I would add it myself… Please bring back the good original fresh cooked oatmeal for a healthy breakfast!

So the Cracker Barrel isn’t new to anyone I’m sure, so this will be quick. While driving across the country, you end up eating at a ton of breakfast places. All the regular culprits are available in larger towns right on the interstate. Denny’s, ihop, and what we’ve chosen this fine day, The Cracker Barrel. It’s really hit or miss, but today, as we were departing Amarillo Texas, this one was a hit! Service was great, staff friendly, no wait, no issue, fair price. My wife had nice fluffy pancakes with peaches and some eggs and bacon. All we tasty. I had something different though. I had them use Egg Beaters and turkey bacon. I like that I could use that healthier option as a substitute! With the lowered fat and calories of those items, I went ahead and indulged myself in some French toast with a twist. I noticed as I walked in a special written on the board… Then got to the table and saw the insert… It’s seasonal, but while it lasts GETIT… Some kinda French toast Carmel apple fusion … I dunno. It’s creaking delicious! Looooved it. If the Cracker Barrel in your town is decent, then go there tomorrow for breakfast. Get that Apple whatever French toast.

The food as always is Amazing! But let me tell you about my server Rene, a guy. First off you don’t bring me my ticket and ask about dessert when you bring my food. WTF, SERIOUSLY!!! Secondly and most important, if you never refill my tea, you get $ 0.00 tip!!! The place was literally empty!!! It was 3:45pm on Friday 10−03−14.this is why I Hate male servers and prolly won’t be back to this location

We stopped here on our way from Oklahoma City to Albuquerque. The food was pretty standard, I had the open faced roast beef sandwich and it really was kind of blah. It took a little while after we were seated to have our order taken, but once it was the food arrived quickly. Our server was attentive and sweet. We had no trouble getting a refill of iced tea in a to-go cup. In general a pretty ‘safe’ stop if you are traveling.

I was looking forward to a vegetable plate since I saw our hotel shared a parking lot with Cracker Barrel, sadly it was a huge disappointment. Everything started well, we were seated quickly, got our drinks and ordered our food. Then we sat and watched as our waitress picked pieces of food off the floor with her bare hands. It was disgusting. She may have washed them, I don’t know. The food finally arrived, my vegetable plate was several bowls, no plates. The food was cold, the steak was chewy and the salad looked like a two year old put it together. I am only giving two stars because in the past the food was better, hopefully this was just an off day.

The rating is for my dinner. I had the Ribeye it was very good and so were the sides. Our waiter seemed a little rushed and spacey. Now comes my husbands dinner. He thrived his dinner the same time I got mine, but they forgot the fries. Not once but 3 times… When he was almost done with his dinner I went and found the manager and told him what was going on. at the same time the waiter came and brought the fries. The manager offered a free deserter declined. At the checkout we saw he comped my husbands dinner an meal.

It’s always a pleasure to stop at Cracker Barrel. Our waitress was a doll and we loved chatting with her. The service is impeccable and so quick! I ordered the meatloaf which was awesome and the coffee is just awesome. I am from Los Angeles so we don’t have this chain so whenever we are out of state I have to go to Cracker Barrel.

Stopped in for lunch on our way to Albuquerque. I had a pancake, and it was most definitely NOT the best pancake I’d ever eaten, as advertised. Boyfriend got some kind of egg sandwich, he said he liked it but it wasn’t anything spectacular. I probably wouldn’t come here again. 2 stars.
