This boutique winery is a GEM. We first discovered at the end of the season last year. We returned this weekend. The staff and service is warm. Jeff will tailor your tasting to your preference. Go with friends on the weekend, order lunch, sit in the garden and after your tasting; consider enjoying a bottle on site with lunch! The best news is the price value is EXCELLENT!

We stopped in on an off-season Saturday to taste some wine. Not only were we delighted by the wine and our hostess, the tasting was free! We even got to try some local wines from another vineyard. We were also offered cheese, mustard, and jam to try. We ended up buying a bottle of traminette though there were several that were very good.

My wife and I made our first visit to Cascade Mountain Winery two weekends ago to celebrate my birthday. We decided to try the tasting menu and I am here to report that the salmon and scallops were superb, among the best we have ever had, and that is saying a lot. They were 1st quality and expertly prepared. The wine pairings were also a good fit with the various dishes. On top of that is was a genuine pleasure to meet Charlie, the owner, and his staff. We had a great time and intend to make the 2 hour drive again. Can’t fit it in this Fall as my wife will be out of the country but we will be back for lunch in the Spring. Enjoy! sad to say they cut back on the restaurant, I believe they still do the tastings and now they buy there grapes, they cut down the vineyard. Still good wines but what a loss!

Up state NY is flush with great chefs straight out of the Culinary Institute of America(CIA) so it’s hard to find a bad gourmet restaurant. This place has a wrap-around patio that offers great seating in the warmer months. Make reservations, because the menu items drop off as they run out of food.
