The vineyard is beautiful, the wines are delizz, especially the saugvinon blanc and viognier; the staff is friendly, professional, and accommodating. And, what can beat the tiniest adorable hosts aka the mini horses? They are soo adorable! My daughter got to meet all 3 of them, and she had a blast! We went there to celebrate my birthday and Father’s Day, I must say this vineyard is worth a visit!

I like going to wineries that have something unique to them — Jamieson has just that. Between the artwork, landscape, view, and MINIATUREHORSES, you definitely get your money’s worth in wine tasting here. The experience is nicer than the bigger wineries since they are reservation only — which means less crowds and a more relaxed experience. I came here on a sunny Saturday afternoon and we did the general tasting out on the patio. They have an indoor bar area for tasting that’s decorated with a cabin feel, but I’d recommend doing the tasting outside to enjoy the winery’s natural beauty. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere with gorgeous views of the valley(the winery is atop a little hill) that are perfect for picture taking. There’s some graffiti artwork on the side of a building that makes up a mural — another photo taking moment! Wine tasting is a set menu here — the most memorable wine for me was the Silver Spur Sauvigon Blanc. When you smell the wine, you can smell a pineapple fragrance that makes it more pleasant to drink! Unfortunately I can’t remember the other wines, as by this point I was only getting slightly tipsy(this was our last winery of the day). Their bottles are slightly on the expensive side, but the Sauvigon Blanc was good value at $ 28 for what it was. The miniature horses(not to be confused with ponies) are perfect for those who are into horses — this was the main reason my friend wanted to come here. Luckily the staff treated us nicely as me and my friend were mostly looking forward to the horses(we kept asking where they were), and let us leave our glasses to go meet them when they were walking around. The horses normally show up on the weekends from noon to 4 pm, but make sure to inquire about it when you make a reservation so you don’t miss out! The staff here is super chill. I enjoyed our host, who was patient with our pursuit of horses during the wine tasting and gave us water and crackers in between tastings. We had a B1G1 free wine tasting coupon from the WineryFinder app, but since we bought a bottle each our host was super nice and waived the fee for us. Great service when making reservation and onsite!

Best Way To Be Greeted On A Drive Into Napa Valley! SITREP As soon as you the exit off Westbound I-80 for HWY12 towards Napa, you are just a few miles out from Jamieson Ranch Vineyards(Jamieson), so it’s fair to state that Jamieson is the official«greeter» of Napa Valley! THESETUP Jamieson is set amid a stunning landscape that is enhanced when you enter it’s driveway and approach it’s estate campus. Surrounded by 300 acres of green hills and rows upon rows of vineyards, it’s easy to see why this winery is very conducive to wine meditation and relaxation! BEAUTIFULSTRUCTURES&SCULPTURES Jamieson features a stylish lodge with an expansive antlered chandelier in the main hall where it’s tasting room is located on the second level(which you access by the main staircase).
From here, you can trek to the cabana-tented-areas and sit, relax and enjoy your wines. A bit further are the art-areas set amid gorgeous gardens on either side of the lodge .and with impressive sculptures of historic figures .and more statues with impressive vistas of the expansive surrounding. THEWINE As much as I enjoyed the Chardonnay and the Reds on hand during my tasting flight, it was actually the unique bottled Chocolate Wine Sauce(a decadent Chocolate Cabernet! — $ 18) that I chose as my takeaway(and actually enjoyed again last night on some Vanilla Bean ice cream), indulging my tastebuds with the scrumptious chocolate-deliciousness accented by an ever-so-subtle alcohol kick. THELOWDOWN A beautiful estate with some truly unique & delicious wine products!

Horses, wine and graffiti, YES! Came here for the last stop on a wine tour with Green Dream Tours and it was a fantastic way to end the day. Jamieson Ranch Vineyards is on a beautiful property and the building is pristine. There was around of 14 of us and we were able to go up to the tasting room, enjoy some wine and hang out with the small horses that are being trained as service animals. The staff brought us on a tour of the barrel room and explained the wine making process as well as let us try our a new vintage that had not even been bottled yet! Following the tour of the barrel room we went out back and checked out the amazing artwork and views of the grounds. Jamieson Ranch had a different and comfortable vibe, friendly staff and delicious wine.

I attended an art show at Jamieson recently, and I was really impressed! The grounds are gorgeous, and for that reason alone, it’s worth visiting Jamieson Ranch. I really enjoyed the wine and the hors d’oeuvres served during the event, and the staff was cheerful and friendly. I’ve heard that Jamieson’s miniature horses sometimes visit with guests on the weekends, but sadly I didn’t get to see them while I was there. I look forward to visiting Jamieson Ranch again soon!

I’ve been meaning to come back here for the longest time, but didn’t get a chance to, till now. I was a wine club member when this winery use to be Kirkland. Then they closed down and became Reata(which I never came by to try), then now, Jamieson Ranch. Looks like both the winery and I came around a full circle. So here I am, wine club member again. Here, it’s $ 40 for a tasting of 4 wines. You can choose all reds, or their mix of reds and whites. They also have wine and food pairings to choose from on their menu as well! Pair of wines and cheese and another option(which I forgot). But definitely something worth trying! The structure of the winery is exactly as I remembered, but the entire ambiance is different. Definitely more chic with the nice couches, glass tables, bar stools and bar height tables outside. No more of the wood rocking chairs, complete cabin feel. I have to say, I like this new décor and ambiance. Wasn’t sure when I first walked up the steps, but after walking around, I like it. Location is great, and the patio is wonderful. Why not stop by?

This is a very pretty venue. Nice, friendly people. I loved that they brought out the little horses! The wine was very good– the best of any any of the wineries we went to in Napa last year. We bought a bottle of white and one red. Can’t remember which ones, but I enjoyed them all! And enjoyed sitting outside by the pool. Only negative was that a lot of the seating was for wine club members only.

Very nice experience today at Jamieson Ranch, including a nice Viognier, a surprisingly nice Merlot, and an exceptional Rutherford Cabernet, all followed down by a well designed cheese pairing. Well-priced at $ 45 a person. The building itself is beautiful, with an interior designed like a western hunting lodge. Lots of wood and stone work, vaulted ceilings and west-facing windows to see the sunset. Be sure to check out the huge mural on the south side of the building! Very pleasant setting all around, even with the nearby road traffic.

Wow, $ 40.00 for a tasting of what they chose to call their reserve flight. Marginal wines at best certainly not deserving the price point per bottle or for the tasting. This is the fourth reincarnation of this location and based on my experience it may very well on its way to the fifth. I only hope that visitors coming to the valley don’t stop here for their first visit, there are vastly superior wineries that offer much more reasonable tasting fees within miles of this place.

I absolutely LOVE this place — from the pinots to the ponies! I arrived for my birthday with 25 people and the staff treated us wonderfully. Big thanks to Carol and especially to the lady who was managing the miniature horses. She ensured she brought the horses to the backroom where our group was tasting. The staff at Jamieson treated our group with such hospitality and the whole winery feels warm and friendly. The wines were fantastic and we will absolutely be back again. Big thanks to the staff for an absolutely wonderful time. I can’t say enough AMAZING things about this place.

We absolutely love Jamieson. We always have great service and thoroughly enjoy their wines. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Doug and John were great. This was the first time we tried the charcuterie pairing and it was relaxing and delicious. We sat inside by the fire and were encouraged to take our time and enjoy. The veranda is beautiful for warmer days but they also have heaters. I would highly recommend this winery to anyone.

My first visit to Jamieson Ranch and it was spectacular. Let’s just say we walked out with a few cases of wine! We scheduled a wine tasting for four and right when we arrived, we were treated to a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The lady that greeted us was very friendly and showed us to the tasting room upstairs where we would be seated for the tasting. The upstairs reminded me of a huge cabin in Tahoe with high pitched ceilings, exposed wood, and huge windows with views of the valley and vines. We opted for the cheese pairing and tasting and it was unbelievable. Four types of wine paired with four different cheeses and every taste was smooth. We loved the Zinfandel, Petit Syrah, and cabernet! We were also treated to just a flight of Cabernets. Being Cabernet lovers, I think we died and went to heaven! We take our wines seriously and Jamieson will be on our next visit to Napa!

When someone mentions steel drums, I instantly think of the sweet sweet sounds of Caribbean music. Therefore, I think it’s totally fitting that Jamieson’s steel barrel aged Sauvignon Blanc would exhibit hints of lush sweet pineapple. I’d pair that bad boy with a combo jerk chicken and oxtail plate from Back A Yard(yeah, I know I still gotta do a review on that place). The chilled white would be totally refreshing and maybe help reduce some of that heat from the chicken so I’m not sweating profusely at the end of the meal. The pinot noir is also noteworthy: light with a bit of a sweet blackberry finish. I’d pair that bad boy with a combo jerk chicken and oxtail plate from Back A Yard. .. forgive me, I’ve been really craving Caribbean eats lately. Anyways, if you find yourself on this side of Napa, Jamieson is worth a visit. Oh and make sure you check out the antler chandelier — like you could miss it.

One of the nicer wineries in Napa, very cool and distinctive. With lots of seats and tables, this one is for groups, families and even kids who love their miniature horses. It’s expensive but you can spend a whole day here munching on cheese or charcuterie and tasting or drinking the wine you buy. They even have 2 pools that you could cool off in if you drink too much — no, I don’t recommend that! We bought some wine and Eucalyptus honey, yes, you don’t make good decisions after so many glasses of wine!

We went to Jamieson primarily because we were able to get a last minute reservation for a food and wine pairing tasting. Lucinda did a great job of explaining wine vs food before the pairing, sampling as we went. Then the onsite chef, Scott, brought out 3 samplers to pair with 3 different wines. The pork belly on lentils paired with the Cab Sav was out of this world. In the end, we learned a lot, sampled some very good food and wine, and had a great time. And, oh by the way, the winery building is beautiful. Since it took an hour or so to do the pairing, we didn’t stay long afterwards, but there are numerous porches to lounge around on, and I know it would be a great place just to go and relax and enjoy a bottle of wine.

Came here for my first Unilocal event(for elites) and boy was I amazed with the property it was breath taking. Lots of art and sculptures to look. The cabanas were amazing could sit there all day looking at the view sipping on wine enjoying life. I loved the mural wall that was full of different wonderful art pieces and the room on the second level with all the wonderful masks from different movies. I cant forget the pony. I will definitely come back to this wonderful property.

Miniature horses. Miniature horses. Miniature horses. How many times can I say it? They come into the actual tasting room. CALLAHEADTOMAKESURETHEMINISWILLBETHEREWHENYOUGO!!!(If that is important to you. It obviously is to me). The minis come into say hi to you as you taste so they can be petted and get comfortable around all types of people because they are used to help people with autism. How great is that!!! Also, 3% of their proceeds go to an autism charity! Ok aside from mini horses, the actual place is great too. I’m from the Bay Area and am familiar with many of the wineries in Napa and Sonoma and this is up there as one of my favorites. I honestly didn’t expect to be blown away by it just because it is RIGHT off the highway, but I was so wrong! Grounds are gorgeous. When you get up to the house you can sit in a huge gorgeous tasting room, or outside on a porch. Each area is darling. No view of highway when you’re there– all you see are the rolling hills and the vineyards. Our service for the tasting was excellent. Wines were great. Portions were extremely generous(woohoo!)
