The prices are fair and the selection is fine, but I find the service at Ashley’s to always be poor(and not just at this location either). I’m glad the sales people don’t hover all over you like bees at a picnic, but they fall in at the opposite end of the spectrum: useless. It seems their sole purpose is to mean-mug every person that walks in the door, spin around arbitrarily in their spinning chairs, look disinterested in the questions you pose and never know the answer to those questions when you ask them. At least bees would attempt to pollinate you, or make honey or something. In many respects, Ashley’s Furniture could do themselves a favor and get rid of their sales people and hire house plants instead: Me: «Does this couch come in a different configuration?» House Plant: «…» Me: «Ok. I guess I’ll buy it then.» Ugh…

Ashley furniture has provided us with the absolute worst service imaginable. We ordered a couch on July 15th and received the first one 6 weeks later– it was badly scratched and we requested new one. the new one arrived a month later and was even more damaged than the first one! Now we are told they are no longer«rushing our order» and we have to wait until mid November. The reason for the wait is that it takes time to construct quality furniture by hand. WHAT A JOKE. We are in process of trying to cancel the order now.

We went furniture shopping on what is so far the coldest day of the year, and as we anticipated the store was pretty empty. As we walked through the large store we saw no less than 6 salespeople, only one of whom even said hi despite our 15 – 20 minutes sitting on furniture and looking around. When no one approached us we decided our money was better spent elsewhere(and it was! Just an hour later we plopped down $ 1300 on a sofa.)

Awful. «slow delivery, and rotten customer service» explains it perfectly.

While the reviews for this store are frightening, I have to submit by opinion solely based on what this store has to offer and for whom. I thought that Ashley was going to be out of my price range so I just stumbled in to get an idea for what kind of style I liked since they had a lot of rooms put together and organized by style. The woman Judy, who assisted us was so pleasant. I told her my price range and said I could not afford this store. She told me that they had TONS of things in my price range. I was shocked and happily surprised. She told me exactly where to walk in the store and then said she would leave me alone to look at things for myself and she would check on me occasionally. I loved that! I don’t need a salesperson following me around from couch to couch. I respected her respecting me! We ventured through the store, they had a vintage section that I loved. I got so many decoration ideas from their displays. I found couches that ranged in price from $ 400 – 700, right in my budget. I couldn’t believe how many options that had within that range. They almost had TOO many options that I couldn’t decide which to choose. I didn’t end up making a purchase on that particular day because I had to come home to take measurements. Judy was a GREAT help, not only informative about prices, quality and delivery estimations but also gave me her opinion about what colors would go best with my theme. I appreciated her knowledge. The only reason I am not giving this store five stars is because I haven’t ordered anything, therefore unable to adequately judge the quality of their items. Also, it takes 2 – 4 for an order to come in. That’s a long time to wait for a couch or other piece of furniture. I recommend making this your first stop when furniture shopping so that you can place your order right away. Moral of the story, college kids, don’t shy away from this place. Rich kids, don’t shy away from this place. They have a selection for every one.

This store has overpriced, defective merchandise, slow delivery, and rotten customer service. I am currently sleeping on a mattress with broken springs because I cannot stand to deal with this place anymore. This is the 3rd defective mattress I have received from them. After getting the 2nd mattress inspected, I received a phone call from Ashley furniture’s customer service department stating that this type of mattress was discontinued and I would receive partial store credit. I could not receive a refund for the purchase price of the set because the boxspring was not defective. When I went to the showroom to choose a new mattress, the salesman told me that I could not use a Simmons mattress on a Sealy boxspring without voiding the warranty. He also stated that the foundation was included in the sale price. I agreed to pay the difference between the Simmons package and the refund for the Sealy mattress. The delivery men arrived at my house with only the mattress. When I complained, I was told that there was no record of a boxspring purchase. The salesman admitted that he was wrong about the warranty information and said that he had made a mistake in selling the mattress and boxspring at that price.(He denied this when I complained to his manager.) He said that the price was for the mattress only and because it was an exchange I would only receive the mattress even though my receipt shows that I will receive a boxspring as well. I had to file a claim with the consumer protection agency to get a portion of my money back. I am a totally dissatisfied customer.
