I used to go here out of convenience, but I refuse to go here anymore. The food is fine, but could be better. Honestly I just don’t go here anymore because the servers are so rude. Sometimes they are in a good mood but I’ve gotten plates thrown on to my table, annoyed sighs while ordering, even waiters just plain ignoring the table. They often get angry when I want to pay with a card, and they tell me very harshly to pay in cash instead because I will get a 10% discount. I like the idea of a discount, but I don’t always have cash on me and it’s very rude when they get visibly angry about paying with a debit card. Overall, food is ok, nothing special, but the bad service isn’t worth it.

One of my favorites in Amherst, mom and pop restaurant that has a lot going for it. Quiet, clean, great food presentation, great flavors and that aroma you’d expect from a top-notch Indian restaurant. Food is great and if you know of a particular Indian cuisine that isn’t on the menu, they’ll know it and will do a fantastic job making it. Reminds me of the good hole-in-the-wall places in NYC where I’m from. My go to!

3.5 stars. After reading acceptable reviews we went with low expectations. We were in Amherst and wanted indian food but didn’t feel like driving someplace else. So we went. What was there to lose? The small restaurant was very busy. There were only two tables empty. People were happy. We decided to stay and I’m glad we did. The vegetable samosa and korma were very good as were the garlic naan and coconut naan. The lamb Josh was good, but would have benefitted from more spice and heat. The service was excellent. Each time I needed something I caught someone’s eye and they came as quickly as possible. The one time a server was delayed he apologized. When we left the owner thanked us sincerely and invited us back. I have a couple favorites Indian restaurants, but I will give these folks a try five or six more times. It will take several return visits before I’ve made my way through the menu and I’m looking forward to it.

This mom and pop Indian restaurant has some great things going for it. It is clean(I’m a nurse), quiet and has moderately priced lunches. You can adjust the spice level and you might want to if you like it hot. They deliver and you can order half portions for dinner. Now the food is good but not exceptional. The service is adequate and provided by the owner. There is an Indian vibe that I like. They watch Bollywood on breaks that they take in plain view in the back of the restaurant. I like this. It is what they do in India. Good for them.

Great Food! Usually order lamb vindaloo and tandoori along with garlic naan. Always delicious! Friendly staff too!

Always worth the drive. The food is fragrant, flavorful and seasoned just so. I have never been disappointed.

The food isn’t horrible but I feel like I might be able to make slightly better Indian cuisine at home. For what they charge, the portions are insufficiently small. I won’t go back. Priya in Chicopee has 10 times better food and portion sizes.

Granted I have a very limited Indian food palate but this place was very good. The server was really helpful in picking some dishes out and getting us trying new stuff. I liked this place. The prices were very reasonable also.

Perhaps I’m spoiled by the fact that I had recently been to a friend’s house who cooked me an Indian meal that was excellent. Comparably, the food at Paradise of India was decent, but not great. The spice was non existent in either of our dishes, perhaps too toned down for the American palette. The naan was decent, and the portions reasonable, but it just wasn’t anything particularly special. On the plus side, service was reasonably fast and friendly enough.

Compared to other Indian available in the area(Northampton) the food was more decently priced, and I think the portion sizes were also larger. I have had both the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Samosas, which were both very good. I thought

Best Indian food in the area. We go here often and get consistently delicious food. They are also happy to adjust spice level. Good vegetarian options. Look into the dinners for two for good value! This is not the best Indian ever, but it is a million times better than the popular restaurants in Noho for sure.

Very disappointing, flavorless food. I’d rather go to Noho to India House any day. This place reminds me of my first experience with Indian food that turned me off of it for years. Don’t waste your time or money.

Quick and easy. Take out or dine in is good. Lunch special pricing is perfect but any dinner is going to be overpriced. If you need an Indian fix for lunch head here. If you got the crave for the best head south to Springfield. 2 ½ stars for dinner but lunch is right on.

Yum! I love Paradise of India. I’ve been here a couple times and I’ve had zero complaints. The food is good(I always order the chicken tikka masala with naan) and so is the service. I’ve been to a few Indian restaurants in Boston but I prefer Paradise of India over them. Now I guess if you’re a huge Indian food fanatic, this place may disappoint you. But my love for Paradise of India resembles my love for fast food joints. I know it’s not top of the line but shit, it hits the spot!
