A gem of Amherst, Ma. Right in the heart next to the park. We had breakfast past noon. The atmosphere of the dining area is on point. Wait staff very heart warming and made sure the drinks were filled at all times. The breakfast was filling, pancakes are big and the chocolate milk so creamy. Reminds me of my family breakfast I will recommend anyone who comes to Amherst to eat here and I will make it a tradition to come eat at least once every visit.

Had an average breakfast — definitely nothing special and unfortunately it did not live up the reviews that I read about it. Sweet and homey place, just didn’t love the food. Both my husband and I ordered egg dishes so maybe their speciality is really more pancakes.

My girlfriend and I met up for a weekday lunch at The Lone Wolf today. We had an hour between work and appointments, and we were excited to try a restaurant we had heard great things about. We figured an hour was plenty of time to head to lunch, have a great meal, and get back to work. Huge mistake. Let me start by saying that the restaurant, at the very most, was no more than one third full during our time there. There were two servers to attend to the 20 – 25 customers in the restaurant. Yet despite having only a handful of customers to wait on, we were actively ignored by our server. She was rude when seating us and didn’t check on us once during the duration of our meal. Towards the end of our meal, we both needed water refill. Our server had been MIA since we placed our order so I tried to catch the other server’s eye for five minutes, but was unsuccessful. Finally, our server came out and as she passed by our table, I asked her for water. She didn’t apologize or seem to understand that she was shirking a really basic responsibility of waiting tables. She returned with full glasses of water for other patrons, but ignored our table. Three minutes later, while she stood aimlessly in the center of the restaurant, I turned and asked her again if I could have more water. She glared at me and then nodded as though I was inconveniencing her. Several minutes later, the other server filled our glasses. After that, we sat for twenty minutes with our finished meals in front of us. Once she gave us our check, it took her ten minutes to collect our cards and another fifteen to return them. Let me emphasize yet again that it was not busy in the restaurant at all. What was supposed to be a short, relaxing break from work turned into a 90 minute disaster. For the record, I have always been a generous tipper(20+%) and I am always ready to give severs the benefit of the doubt. I’ve never even written a Unilocal review. But since my presence was clearly such a huge inconvenience to the staff, I will make sure I never put them through the trouble again and will discourage others from doing the same.

My favorite: the huevos rancheros. Not very Mexican, but pretty darn good!

The best breakfast in Amherst, hands down. A large and creative menu that considers all types of eaters, be it carnivores, vegans, gluten free, etc. Very large portions, prices in tune with the area and excellent and knowledgeable waitstaff. Really good high quality food. I’m tough on my food reviews, I’d give this place six stars!

Nice small breakfast place in Amherst. The best selection of Southwest breakfast I’ve seen in Mass. Brought my son and he had a Santa Fe Omelette that was stuffed with caramelized onion and pepper jack cheese and covered with sour cream severed with home fries and toast and he got a side of maple wood smoked bacon. I had the southwest scrambled with was a huge amount of eggs cooked with red onion, bell pepper, jalapeño, tomato and cheddar cheese; it had salsa on the side, home fries and toast. The portions were very generous and the service was great; the place seemed very clean and coffee was OK. The 3 stars is because of the price, $ 32 for breakfast for 2 seems a little steep in a college town.

Have eaten there 3 times. Table service was awful the first time, so we opted to sit at the bar on our second visit and service was much more attentive. Food was good each time but on our third visit, a ROACH casually crawled across the top of our table as though it knew we were finished and it was coming for scraps before someone got around to bussing the table. Strike three. We’re done here.

My family of 5 enjoyed our first visit, and I split a smoked omelet special and spinach frittatta with my brother. I was afraid LW would be cramped and dirty from the reviews(roaches!), but that was not the case. True, it’s not a huge space, and we had to wait 5 minutes to get seated, but at our table we could hear each other fine, didn’t feel rushed or crowded, and definitely didn’t see any roaches. The place seemed new and clean and lovely. Low-key friendly vibe and nice food. I loved getting a mesclun salad w wonderful balsamic dressing with my eggs(a substitute for toast), and stole spicy homefries off my aunt’s plate without shame.

This place keeps both vegans and animal eaters happy and the food is good. The problem is with the roaches which seem way too happy and can often be found hanging around on the walls or running on the floors and benches. My spouse will not eat here because of the insects.

Just OK, came here on a Saturday morning with some family members and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a place fill up so fast! The eggs were done perfectly, and the service was great. There were a few things I wasn’t a fan of: the home fries, they were too hot for me, the French toast that didn’t seem to be fully cooked, my huevos rancheros which was so hot I thought I would choke on my first bite(and I’m usually a fan of foods with heat) and how cramped the place felt.

Great place for group brunches or breakfasts! I decided to order some experimentation on a pancake. It was gigantic and delicious delicious. The only underside is that I ordered it filled with chocolate chips and the parts of the chocolate chips that had touched the skilled were burned though so that’s was underwhelming. I also got a Chai Tea Latte which was really really good. My friend got some sort of potatoes which were to die for! They have anywhere from plain pancakes to tons of different breakfast dishes and brunch dishes, and also things like teas and lattes etc. The waitress was nice, not the best, but pretty nice. The guy who took the number of our party and told us to wait was really really nice though so that was good. We did have to wait maybe 15 minutes to get a seat, but there were maybe 6 of us, and parties of smaller sizes got in much quicker. Generally, this place has a great ambiance, it’s warm, and calm and very homey, especially for brunch when I was there. The prices are normal, maybe a pinch on the high side of average. Would definitely go back.
