Patrick hosted a snowshoe and winter hiking basics workshop for my local hiking group that was fantastic! We are mainly beginners and appreciated all of the time Patrick took showing us proper/​safe gear and answering our many questions. His selection is impressive and, what isn’t there, he can obtain quickly. No high pressure selling either. Patrick recommended we rent gear to find out exactly what works before buying — then he applies the rental cost to the purchase price. He’s just made a whole bunch of people fans for life of him and his shop!

This is a great place. Owner is super helpful and knowledgeable. There is a mix of used gear here and some interesting, inexpensive new items such as easy to use bike lights and light weight multipurpose balaclava/​head scarf etc.

Rochester, NY
Great customer service. They offer consignment services which is a huge perk! They have a variety of quality used and new gear. If you’re into outdoor adventures you know it can get pretty pricey — a gently used pair of hiking boots is so much more cost effective! Also– another awesome thing is they rent all of their gear — so if you like it, you can buy it– and the rental fee is applied to your purchase! Pretty awesome if you need a hiking pack for a weekend and decide you don’t want to give it back!
