This store has very little inventory compared to the one on Transit and not just because it’s Christmas. The employees are friendly, but the service desk workers and manger are not.

Over priced, horrible customer service. They’re more worried about watching you to see if you’re stealing then actually helping you search the huge store.

Its a toy store, its big, and it has lots of toys. They also have toys here, that you cannot buy anywhere else, as some toys are exclusive to Toys R Us and are not stocked in any other store. They have a full line of baby stuff as well. So if you need an item that you can’t find elsewhere its probably here. If you are looking for that«hot» holiday toy that your child must have for Christmas, its probably not here even if they say it is. Employees will scoff at you and look annoyed, if you ask about the most popular understocked toy. Yes I know they have heard the same«do you have it’ question and are definitely sick of it by the end of the day but they could be a little more friendly. This is the only major Toy retailer in the immediate Buffalo Niagara area as the Niagara Falls store closed years ago so this store is serving a very large area including Canadian shoppers whom are not able to shop online for items only carried in the USA. This means they run out of hot toys very quickly. If you see your child’s desired toy in this store, and it is that toy that you or your child cannot live without I recommend buying it when you see it or it may not be there next time. Its also OVERPRICED, as in over MSRP on many items. If you can, wait till they have a sale on the item you want to buy it. I have never been a fan of TRU because they charge more than other stores. If you can get the item at another store’s toy dept., absolutely do that, because you will probably pay less. For example they charge 16.99 for Skylanders when every other store charges 14.99 which is MSRP. A 9.99 item in Walmart or Target, will be 11.99 or 12.99 for example. A Wii nunchuck which goes for 19.99MSRP at every other store goes for 21.99 here, and the list goes on… They do seem to keep MSRP on video games, so a game that is 59.99 everywhere will be 59.99 here as well. If you are buying Pokemon video games on their release date, they usually have a buy one get one type of sale on them(or buy Pokemon game, get another game % off), so I recommend buying them here if you are able to especially if you are already considering buying other games on the same game system. They do have sales, take advantage of them, so you may possibly pay less than Walmart or Target even with inflated over MSRP prices. On the other hand most of the sales offered are the Buy 1 get one 40% off type of sale so you have to buy 2 to get money off the already inflated price. I absolutely loathe this type of sale that seems to engulf most retail establishments these days as it just makes you purchase more things than you originally intended to in order to get what amounts to a small discount. However if you already intended to purchase multiples, go for it! The online store: I do not recommend purchasing from TRU online, especially during the holidays. Too many nightmare stores. They just don’t have the infrastructure to handle all the orders. Also you may only receive part of your order, which could cause huge problems, especially if you have 2 children and you only received one item when you intended to buy one for each child. Cancellation notices take time, so if you are buying for the holidays you may not get the cancellation in time to replace the item you originally ordered. Online ordered items are frequently cancelled without notice or explanation. Don’t trust them on that must have toy for Christmas!

Who knew kids needed so much«stuff»? So I cant say I spend alot of time in this store or any of its chain companions. I much prefer smaller stores for baby and kid related things. Supporting the independent owner. However, twice I have been here in the last year. I forgot what item I was looking for the first time, but they did have it. This store is amazing in the quantity of items they have. Everything from diapers to trikes it seems. Take your child from baby to teen almost. Amazing. Most recently I was looking for those window shades for the car back seats. I was not able to find them in the stores I checked, so I asked the AAA rep when I was there and she suggested this store. And she was right. They have the window shade things. In various sizes. I cant give this place more than three stars because, well, its a chain for one, but also because it was weirdly understaffed. There seemed to be one person working for the whole store. Odd. So checkout took AGES because the people in front of us were arguing about a coupon or some similar very time consuming, non value add, nonsense. The person had to walkie talkie some invisible person to check the price of the item and if indeed there was a «coupon» or whatever for it. She then had to radio the person again a few minutes later when still no response. So finding the things I wanted took about 30 seconds, yeah for that, actually being able to buy them and leave the store took 20 min, boo for that. Parking is terrific here though. And of course the proximity to Home Goods, BJ’s, DSW etc is also very nice.
