Excellent restaurant. Quality food and service. We had crab cakes(some of the best we’ve ever had, kale Cesar salad, halibut tacos, wine and beer = all great. Waitress was polite and cheery. HIGHLY recommend.

The food was truly exceptional. We ordered the crab cakes and they were some of the best we’ve ever had. Melt in your mouth, crab-centric. Amazing! I ordered the kale Caesar with cod. Every bite was delicious. I highly recommend Adrift!

Well oiled machine is an understatement. This place has definitely learned its routine. You’re never neglected even though it’s crazy busy. Must try: crab aug gratin. Am-a-zing. They should have just brought me a spoon! We had burgers which are not your down home burgers. They’re fantastic! For such lean beef, the burgers are super juicy and flavorful. The vinegarette onions are so good. We loved the baked French fries also. So good! We wish we had room for dessert!

Stopped in for lunch last week and was very pleased. I ordered the tofu blast which was amazing, especially the sun dried tomato aoli. My buddy ordered the Yakisoba noodle dish which was very flavorful and full of an assortment of fresh veggies. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 only because the fries were a little dry/crispy. Atmosphere and service were both great.

Made reservations on a Saturday night to treat out of town friends to some delicious food and wine at the Adrift. They loved the crab au gratin(I personally prefer plain crab with a touch of butter). The cioppino was tasty, although more tomatoey than I prefer. I was very underwhelmed by the chicken Marsala, and would not order again. The highlight of the meal was the catfish yakisoba. I know, sounds weird, but it was darn tasty and was filled with veggies. As always the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The only knock that night was all the children. We were completely surrounded by kids. I’m not saying that kids don’t deserve good food too, but man do they change the feel of the place when you are trying to enjoy an adult dinner.

We are visiting Anacortes for the first time and love finding special local restaurants with a cool vibe and fantastic food. This place has both! We had split pea soup, crab cakes, kale salad and the grilled cheese. Everything was exceptional! The kale salad had a Caesar dressing with a kick, the grilled cheese was made with pungent cheeses on the most delicious bread. We will definitely be back!

Delicious food and great service. I loved the copper tabletops! The entrance is a little weird however. It really makes you wonder if you’re in the right place. You are!

4 ½ star Unilocal rating this place has is definitely on the generous side. The food was definitely serviceable, but probably a bit overpriced. Paid 23 dollars for a small plate of fried oysters which wasn’t bad, but the portion size is less than generous. I probably wouldn’t recommend the dungeness crab eggs, the presentation was really sloppy. The service was pleasant, but did take about 10 min to get my check.

This place is a well-oiled machine!!! There must be 20 employees buzzing about & everyone had a smile on their face. We sat at the bar while we waited to be seated at a table(cuz we didn’t have reservations, whodathunk on a Thursday?! Now I know why!!) & watching the kitchen crew at work was mind-blowing. I don’t know if it helped me decide what I was going to order, or if it made it more difficult, but everything was delicious! We had the crab cakes app, followed by the pan fried oysters dinner & yakisoba. Great portions & flavor on everything! It’s probably a good thing I don’t live closer!

Stopped by here for dinner on our way to Guemes Island. I’ll make this review short but will be pretty descriptive: PROS: really good service. Our server paid attention to us, he was quick, he refilled out waters often which was awesome, he described the food really well and recommended his favorites. The restaurant is also really cute and has a nice ocean vibe to it. My husband actually really liked his food. He got some kind of breaded oysters that were fried. CONS: the food was very mediocre, I got the steak which was my fault. I should know better not to get a steak at a seafood place. The steak was chewy and the sauce that was on it was really strange, i dont even know how to describe it. Just didnt pair well with the steak. The potatoes that came with the steak were CRAZY dry… im not even exaggerating. My husband also had the side of potatoes and couldnt finish them. The table arrangement was a little awkward because of the divider. You are sitting very close to other guests and the divider doesn’t really help much at all. I could see people looking at me while i was eating which made me feel weird but it probably won’t bother others. Overall, wouldn’t go back because of the food. Just wasn’t that great.

Pros: The interior design, table separators and wait time are all bonuses for this restaurant. There are plenty of props and paintings which will remind you of marina life. Spices. I know most people don’t associate seafood and burgers with good blends of seasoning, but it really stood out. Nothing required condiments or extra salt because everything was perfectly seasoned. I ordered a crab cake and biscuit breakfast sandwich. The plating of these dishes were nice, as well. If you ever get the chance, try the pineapple cider. Cons: While you’re waiting to be seated by the bouy,(if you’re anything like me) you can clearly spot the cooks hard at work. They’re churning out burger after burger, which would be great if their fries came out on tme. What does this mean for the average customer? The food MIGHT be cold.

Great service. Good food. Tasty wine! Any restaurant that can alter dishes to be gluten free and dairy free are always winning in my book! So glad we stopped here for quick dinner enroute to Whidbey Island! Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Very nice dinner eatery. We made a reservation for Saturday evening. I like that the communal tables have dividers. Everything was so tasty. Crab cakes with a sweet and spicy sauce. Crab au gratin steak 5 stars. Pan fried oysters delicious. Curry salmon also well balanced not spicy. Everything had veggies and starch. Dessert was crème brûlée– so light and fluffy not dense custard. Fantastic ice cream from local creamery Lopez Island. I had a scoop of the blueberry. We also shared sailor sundae with an amazing hot fudge sauce that was infused with beer. It came with great spiced nuts too. Food was well priced for quality and quantity of dishes.(we are used to LA prices) Service was fast and friendly. Refills happened quickly without asking. On our way out we picked up a few shirts. They have a little shelf of merchandise.

My husband wanted fish, and from these reviews, THIS was the place to go! Short review: This place wasn’t really all that, but there was good service and food. I had the Thai tomato soup, and my husband the salmon tacos. Both very good, and served within 15mins. Negatives: I had to ask for more water after waiting and waiting… I can’t even stretch my neck in a chain restaurant without someone throwing water at me. Second negative, the chairs. Oh lord, the chairs. The short metal chairs near the exit are the most uncomfortable chairs on the history of the planet. Someone please steal them and melt them down.

I am glad we gave Adrift another shot. This was what I expected them to be. I had a beet salad that was very good. I also ordered a crab cake. I like that you can order 1, 2, or 3 depending if you want an appetizer or entrée. The crab cakes were nice, but the Asian chili sauce, while ok, is not my favorite with crab cakes. The sweetness of the sauce drowns out the crab. I prefer something that highlights the richness and adds to it. I also had the green curry clams. These were outstanding. The portion was generous and the clams were all perfectly cooked and open. The one hang up, and this is minor, curry sauce doesn’t taste good with focaccia. It needed naan or flat bread.
My wife loved her halibut special. It was a monster portion for a good price. It was cooked perfectly.

If you update a 5-star review with another 5-star review, it counts as 10 stars, right? I eagerly grabbed the opportunity to stop here while on a work trip to Anacortes. I came in late afternoon, prior to the dinner rush and while they were still serving from the lunch menu. This is such a charming spot. I can’t quite describe the décor… it’s like diner meets second-hand store meets old house, but with a few touches of great panache thrown in, like the lovely metal table tops. It’s also hard to put your finger on the menu… well, not literally, the server hands you the menu and your fingers end up all over it… but it seems as if they’re aiming for a regional family restaurant(local seafood, salads, soups, burgers) but then there are also exceptions such as yakisoba(autocorrect: «yak isobar»). I had a lovely cup of tomato Parmesan soup followed by an exquisite tofu BLAST sandwich… BLAST normally stands for Bacon Lettuce Avocado Sun-dried Tomato aioli but they will substitute tofu for the bacon(they wisely call it the«Tofu BLAST» and not the«TLAST»). The tofu is marinated and thinly sliced, and crispy on the outside but still perfect and juicy inside. It was served with excellent oven-roasted French fries seasoned with herbs, pepper and a few garlic cloves. I washed it down with a mighty fine Arnold Palmer. The service was superlative. The server, Jordan, offered the exact right blend of timely professional courtesy, welcoming friendliness, and easy-going confidence that this meal was going to be good from start to finish. All service should be that good. Can’t wait to come back!

I have to say, I am definitely glad we gave Adrift a second chance. We decided to try going here for breakfast before working the Anacortes Art Festival and I’m so glad that we did! Amazing breakfast!!! I recommend sitting at the bar and watching the staff work that kitchen. They’ve got it going on! I ordered the wee veggie starts with an egg both mornings. My boyfriend got the delicious biscuits and gravy one morning, and the breakfast sandwich the next. Both were amazing and come highly recommended. I wish there was an Adrift closer to us in Tacoma!

Great local spot. The Dungeness crab cakes were golden brown and crispy on the outside and drizzled with a delicious garlic avocado sauce. The inside was filled with sweet, succulent crab meat, scallions and just enough roasted red pepper to add some flavor without overpowering the crab. Mouthwatering. The fish tacos were delicious, as well. I didn’t notice anything spectacular about the sauce but the salmon was excellent. Alaskan, I was told. Overall, a great local restaurant with a charming nautical theme and delicious eats.

Kale salad was great. Fresh and love the garlic. Pan fried oysters were also good. I prefer them raw, but they were nice and light. For the main entrée my wife had the ahi, cooked perfectly but lacking in flavor. I ordered the fresh halibut, it was tasty but way over cooked. The risotto was cold to warm at best. With so many other good restaurants in town, doubt that we will be back.
