Buy’n Bulk

Their spicy peanuts are pretty addicting. They have a kick to them but wow, my hand kept going back into the bag. haha
I never really buy nuts or anything like this randomly but me and a friend were at BXCR right across the way, drinking wine, and needed something to munch on. I got some wasabi peas, spicy peanuts, and honey mustard pretzels and was on my way. (You can mix items that are the same cost so that’s why the peas, nuts, and pretzels were all together.) Per lb they were $ 4.99 and I think I got a decent amount but only paid around $ 3.
This place is right in the middle of the Anaheim Packing House, on the first floor.
There is a $ 5 minimum to use card so bring cash if you don’t plan to get a lot.
I really think this place gets business from BXCR though. We saw two other groups with brown bags before realizing where it was from. (The kitchen at BXCR was closed.)

When the Anaheim Packing District first opened this place was a gem. Fresh stuff, great staff and always bulked up with product. I used to make special trips from Santa Monica and buy stuff here regularly because it was that good and the wasabi peas were the best I have had outside of Japan. But now–
I think that everyone should BOYCOTT this store so that something better can take its place. This is now by far the worst place in the Packing District.
First, the name is a total lie. It has neither BULK nor can you BUY. They are always out of everything now.
Second, I have gone every other week since July asking for a product that seems to be one of their most popular — Wasabi Peas. Yet every time I go the staff tells me they are out and that they never have any idea when anything is coming in. So for three months, I have not seen them there and every week the supply of everything else gets less. Now, it is not hard to determine demand for product for this type of business. You can actually find math equations online so you know how much to order.
Third, the staff is friendly and nice but they have no clue about anything. They don’t know the product, they don’t know when product is coming and they generally have a low opinion of whoever owns the business as they seem to have low moral and feel abandoned.
Fourth, this morning when I went at noon, the place was closed while the rest of the mall was open. This does not seem like a serious business. The PD should expect higher quality from those who rent space there.
Seriously, I would love to help this business with their ordering because their product was that good but if they can’t get it together the Packing District should give them the boot and put a business in there that actually wants to be there.

Tell the truth now… if he’s affiliated in ANY way, think of the consequences.
TO THE PUBLIC: I’m changing my 1 star to 2 stars since Adam responded. Still not satisfied with being sold expired food. Also, please read any of my other reviews. Most are positive and I keep it real (honesty). I will update this post with any experiences, accordingly.

You really can’t go wrong with candy. Walking around we seen this place. Took a look around and walked out with chocolate covered pretzels, chocolate covered almonds, chocolate covered toffee pretzels and some s’more mix. Staff was very friendly although she might have been the owner because she was the only one there. When your walking around the packing district and have a sweet tooth stop by here and satisfy your craving.

Remember that exciting feeling of walking into a candy store and seeing those colorful sweets just sitting there and waiting for you? That eye catching and mouth drooling excitement? Yeah, that feeling is there once you laid eyes on Buy ‘n Bulk.
This small establishment is located on the lower level of the Anaheim Packing House. Candies, chocolates, pretzels, granola and nuts, trail mixes, spices, dried fruits — you name it. There are just so many snacks and ingredients selections to choose from, and everything is at a great price too!
How it works? Just know what you want, grab a brown paper bag, and simply pack what you want to buy! The workers are very nice and knowledgeable. If you have any questions or need any help, they will step forward and help you every step of the way!
My personal favorite is the blueberry covered pretzels. They make a great snack — whether you are off to Disneyland, headed out for a hike, or just going home! The next time I drop by, I will pack some chili mango slices for the boyfriend.

I visited this place for the first time and I was so excited to see they had blooming teas for $ 2.50 cause at my old job teavana their like $ 10 each. I got home put my blooming tea in hot water and guess what I see. WORMS! NOT ONE OR TWO BUT THREEE WORMS! I pretty much bought it for the looks at this point I didn’t drink it and I’m too paranoid to try the other blooming teas. Check your tea before you drink it!

I have always been a coffee person. 5 years working as a barista, I can tell you the ins and the outs of coffee. As far as tea goes, I never enjoyed it nor understood why tea is good for some people until I came across Bulk n Tea. They had samples for the Organic Passion Fruit tea and I’m hooked! I bought a bag and i drink approximately 5 cups a day. Today I went to the Packing District just to buy a bag of the Passion Fruit and something new… their Strawberry Fields. My girl is happy that we came across this place (she has always been a tea drinker) so that I can accompany her on her «tea ventures.» Here’s a tip to enjoy the tea: it’s all about proper steeping. If you need help with how to steep, you can ask anybody working there. They are willing to help and teach!

Forget the other stuff. I’m here for the TEA!
I love tea. Tea is a major part of my life as it is now medicinal (literally). So I’m always on the prowl for various flavors. I was not disappointed. Excellent quality and flavor. Strawberry Fields knocked me off my feet. I’m coming back here once I get my kombucha up and running as they have plenty of organics. And the prices are excellent.

So in a neverending quest to find cheaper cooking ingredients I stumbled up on this place while doing a search on the internet.
My first inclination was cool, perhaps I can find what I’m looking for here… then reality hit.
After a bit of searching online at their website as to what they carry, the wife and I ended up here.
Needless to say whatever expectations I had for this place went out with my breath of «Oh… so that’s it».
Here I was expecting some sort of small brick and mortar kiosk but it was basically an island of nothing.
Sure they have your basic spices, some assortment of nuts, various candy items, and a few other things. To which I said I can find all of this stuff at Sprouts or Mothers or any other bulk item place at a cheaper price.
There was no diversity in there, no foreign unique items. It was a barren landscape of the mundane and mediocre same ol same ol.
What a disappointment.
** as a side note… The Packing District is no Camp… it was like some hipster came and bought up Pee Wee’s Playhouse and redesigned it with their «art» friends. I get the idea… bad execution. Though I still plan to try the restaurants, I’m just not in a hurry now.

Just discovered this gem in the Anaheim Packing District. Great selection of goods (for it’s size), Prices are reasonable, with good service. I understand there is a larger version of this store in Fountain Valley — can’t wait to check out a bigger store!

BULK BUY’n is not too much!
Now when I think of BUY’n BULK I think of big box stores such as Costco’s and for me most of what they have in BULK is TOO MUCH for the most part for one person with the occasional termite for a friend that comes over.
I just don’t have a need for 30 pounds of pasta or bread, fruit, veggies, or cereal. Now if your referring to butt wipes, paper towels, or cleaning supplies then you have my attention because you always need those things and they don’t have expiration dates on them thus I can have them for quite a while without them going bad!
But this place is NOT like that! The sign reads BUY’n BULK but you actually get to select just HOW MUCH you actually want to buy! They use little paper bag and scoops and you shovel in the amount you want and then they weight it for you. Sort of like Sprouts with their bins of GOODIES and NUTRITION!
They even have a NICE variety and you know variety is the spice of life! At least it is for me. Why in the HECK would I want the same olé thing all day every day when I can change it up, keep it fresh, and keep it interesting? Not everything needs to be the SAME ALL the FRICKIN TIME!
Eye spied this place while I was standing in line for the Kroft. It is located right next door in the middle so you REALLY can’t miss it unless your name is Stevie Wonder or Helen Keller and even they have the sense of smell and could find this place!
There are basically 4 rows of GOODIES. Everything form candy, to granola, spices, nuts, healthy stuff such as chia seed, flax seeds, yogurt covered pretzels (a concept I STILL can’t wrap my head around) and some dried fruit!
The drawback, as you KNOW there was going to be one… is some people are NASTY as H*LL and want to stick there GRUBBY FAT fingers in the container without using the SCOOP that is provided AND located in plain view of each container! Yet you know GOOD and D*MN well some people were born in a barn, don’t wash their D*MN hands after they use the restroom, or touch a FILTHY surface, and just have NO FRICKIN MANNERS and will come along and stick their PAWS in the container and COMPLETELY GROSS us all out and while passing on the BUBONIC PLEAGUE! TOTALLY DISGUSTING NOT TO MENTION RUDE!
So that said I figured prayer would need to step in cause I wanted to SURPRISE GOTEB with some treats! It’s not like I was going to eat any so WHO FRICKIN CARES… RIGHT! J/​K. I got all GOTEBS favs… chocolate covered raisins, chocolate covered almonds and the original candy corn. You can mix and match even though the prices are different. NOT sure how that works but I’m guessing they use a base rate per pounds. Either way it was no biggy because it is NOT like I was trying to buy a lot which is WHY it is called a TREAT! Get it?
GOTEB was THRILLED as I knew would be the case. HAPPY as a CLAM! SCORE! I even got a card to get 20% off on my next visit. Now ya’ll know that was right up my alley! So I’ll probably be back next time I here!
Service was GOOD and despite my germ discomfort the young lady does do her best to watch as people walk up so they don’t just stick their nose pickin’, ear diggin’, butt crack scratchin’ fingers in the bins without using the little scoop. GOOD NITE IRENE that is disgusting and I just wrote it! I think I just through up a lil in my mouth!

With food and snack items for kids and adults alike, you will definitely be able to find something that you like. AND, you can get as much or as little as you’d like! Just grab a brown bag, and fill it up!
Need a quick bite for breakfast? They have cereal, oats, and granola! Or maybe you’d like to pick up something for dinner? Rice, pasta, flour, beans, and peas are also available. My favorite section, however, was the snacks! From candy to dried fruit, veggie chips, chocolate, nuts and seeds, they had just about everything I could think of! I like that they had some really unique snacks like Chocolate Covered Honey Comb, Neopolitan and Toffee Covered Pretzels, and Chocolate Covered Gummy Bears. They also had more common candies like Sour Patch Kids, Peach Rings, and Chocolate Covered Raisins.
Really great service! The employee behind the counter was genuinely friendly and helpful. He let us try samples and even gave us a 20% off a single item coupon to use next time! I will be back!

EXCELLENT customer service! Wish I got his name but he’s a tall guy with a beard! He helped us pick out granola today. Super friendly & knowledgeable. Love the idea of this business too. Next time I’ll buy some of those chocolate covered gummy bears!

Perfect for when you just want a little something now or a lot of something later. I managed to exercise some self-​control and just got a few dark chocolate covered raisins with a piece of chocolate covered honeycomb (see a trend?) for after dinner. Perfect for walking around while nibbling.
Besides sweets they also have nuts, granolas, and spices. I think I’ll be coming back before my next trip to the movie theater. That way I can get exactly what I want without over-​paying.

Hey you. you, walking around the brand spanking new Anaheim Packing House… Yeah you! I know you’re awed by the beautiful interior of this space. You’re excited about the new restaurants and eateries. Heck, if this is your first time at the Packing House, your head must be spinning from all the visual stimulation. Stop a minute and let me tell you about Buy’n Bulk… Look downstairs. Right behind the wooden swings that you want to ride.
It’s a perfect addition to the Packing House because it’s not a bar, not a restaurant, not a coffee shop, or a place that sells cronuts and boba… Those places are so passé. Sometimes you just want a snack. Well, this is the place to go. Buy’n Bulk is not only the name of the store, it’s a description of what you do here. Grab a brown bag and take a few laps around the place. Want a taste, no problem! There is no granola police here like whole foods. Chat it up with the cashier and they’ll help you out. I’ve been here twice and each time they’ve been pretty mellow and helpful.
From Candy, Dried Fruits, Beans & Peas, Cereal, Oats & Granola, Chocolate, Mixes & Flour,… to Nuts, Rice & Pasta, Seeds, and Snacks. It’s pretty endless. What truly separates them is their low prices. Go ahead and compare… I did. I used to buy my yogurt pretzels (this is crack cocaine to me, you’ve been warned) at Sprouts… but it’s almost a dollar cheaper here per pound. Same goes for my other faves like Banana Chips, Gummy Bears, and various dried fruits. It’s a perfect place to go at 2:30 pm when you get that sleepy feeling and you want to grab a cup of coffee. well, include some snacks with that coffee and stop on by BnB. Try the yogurt pretzels and you’ll know my addiction…
So. Basically, I want you to know this place exists… it can easily get lost in this maze and cornucopia of food eateries inside the Packing House. Give them a try. I guarantee you will be shocked how much you can get for a few dollars.
