Day and Nite Groceries & Taqueria

The pictures do not lie, you get great Carne Asada, or Chicken tacos for 50 Cents, whats 50 cents any more? I cant even find the cents symbol on my keyboard.
The green sauce is best with the Asada and the Red with the chicken. It’s a real Mexican market so after you pay they hand you a receipt. First timers will just stand in front of the grill waiting. You MUST hand the receipt for your tacos to the cook or they wont know what you want.
You can always tell the new customers by the confused look as person after person gets their tacos before they do. They also have cold Mexican Coke (its made with real sugar and yes its better) in the coolers.
If the place is packed and you have a common name you may want to consider using a fake one. I use Thor, funny thing is the cooks call me Thor when I walk in now. Its that kind of place. The place is a little ‘authentic’ but I eat there every Tuesday I can. If you go to Disney land and you like street tacos this is a MUST.
Seating out front is limited. Visit quick before it becomes super trendy and they raise the prices. Taco Tuesday ENDS at 10pm you can call in your order but they only allow 10 tacos per person who walks in. Make your friend come, don’t tell them about handing their receipt to the cooks and have fun eating your tacos while they wait and wait.

Was looking for something to deliver after a day in Disney. They delivered within 30 minutes and the carne tacos and carne nachos were SO good! They gave us so much salsa, and the red salsa was really really spicy. Definitely plan to reorder some tacos on my next Disney trip.

Food was good, decent portions, and fast delivery. However, they completely botched the special orders. Ordered rolled tacos with just cheese, came fully loaded, ordered burritos and asked for no sour cream or avocado, came stuffed with it. Would probably have been a better meal with a walk in order. Will definitely try this place again, just not as delivery.

This place was amazing. We ordered around 10:45 and got our delivery to the hotel we were staying at around 11:10. They were out of carnitas which sucked cause that’s my favorite but I got the chicken and it ended up being amazing! I would order again from them next time I’m in the area. The price was a little high for the size of the tacos but like I said they were amazing after a long day in Disneyland.

Been enjoying their delivery for over a year now. The only thing that sucks is that it doesn’t start until 10pm but if you can get beer, food, bread, milk delivered in middle of night when the munchies kick in… nothing wrong with that! Their nachos and taquitos are to die for! We love their tacos too. Their prices are very good for what u get (large portions). Maybe one day I’ll finally go into the store.

Stayed at Days Inn near Disneyland. My boyfriend and I were super hungry but definitely too exhausted to get in our car and get food. I found a place that delivers at 3am… My life is complete. A taco shop at that. Delicery at 3am?! Can I have access to this everyday??!
The tacos were really good. Love love their green hot sauce! I almost drank it lol. They gave us a whole bowl :) Prices were pretty cheap and nothing to rage about like a pizza delivery fee.
Wish they had a place like this in San Diego.): If I’m around Anaheim Again I’ll definitely be coming back to this place. Recommend on the food and for delivery!

Stayed at Holiday Inn. … they went to the wrong hotel.
They called me asking me where i was… i let them know they went to the wrong Hilday inn.. I guess this was my fault, i should’ve been more clear, regarding the address .
They were kind enough to go to my location and were very friendly and polite despite the small communication error.
As for the food, it was DELICIOUS!
FOOD WAS GOOD, AND PRICE WAS REALLY CHEAP.
definitely will try this place again on our next visit.

Delicious food. I ordered steak plate, meat was tender rice and beans were spot on.

After a long day at work, I stopped here today to grab some of those tacos all the Unilocalers seem to love. This place is literally walking distance from my house, so I figured why not. Went in and ordered and waited for my four tacos. And waited. And waited. And waited some more. It wasn’t particularly busy, but there was no sense of urgency from the guy behind the counter and it took him over half an hour to finish my order. I hoped and prayed that these tacos would be worth the ridiculous amount of time it took to make them.
Luckily they were. Mostly. They’re pretty good, and taste authentic. The meat was a little dry, but overall not too bad. I can see myself going back for a late night snack many times in the future.

My go-​to Taco Tuesday.
$.50 carne asada and pollo asado tacos only.
Beware after 10PM price goes from $.50 to $ 1.49 per taco.

Bomb. I use to eat there a lot about 6 years ago when I was pregnant lol. Since we moved from the area I totally forgot about this place. The asada tacos are BOMB!!! Great customer service and quick delivery service too…

Tacos were pretty good. ¢.50 tacos on tuesdays, cant beat that but it turned out their 50 cent tacos are of two meat choices. Chicken or steak. Good nonetheless.
My only complain would be their cashier Jen who was a total bitch. Had called initially, she was very rude over the phone. I asked if i could please place a pick up order and she said they dont take phone orders after 7, Taco tuesday ends at 10PM and hung up. Okay? So we decided to drive over there. Once there, same girl took my order and would roll her eyes everytime we added something to the order. She looked at my brother and myself as if she was gonna give us free food or as if it was coming out of her pocket. Girl please! get back to your $ 9/​hr job and start moping those dirty floors. Her attitude would flip as soon it was a male customer lol but enough about her.
The men making the food were a tad on the pervy side but i liked that i could watch them make my food and make sure nothing is being tampered with. The chicken wings were good! Enchiladas weren’t! Tacos were good for their price. I will probably come back and try something new on their menu despite their horrible customer service. Go ahead and give it a shot fellow Unilocalers

When I first moved here I didn’t drive for years and would walk by here to go to the gym and it was the local watering hole for the working class that lived locally. I ordered a burrito using the EAT 24 ap around 10 p.m. and picked it up and bought a pepsi with real sugar in a bottle a week ago. The burrito had guacamole and was big. Greasier than a Chipotle burrito but if you’re hungry and it’s late and you don’t want to drive far or eat Taco Bell then this is the spot.

Too good to be true or what…
The first time i came here it was 2am and i didn’t wait that long for the food. It was all goodie and i loved this place.
So today, when I decide I’m tired and don’t want to get food i call for delivery, and yeah I’m fully aware delivery takes about 50 min-​1 hr. But I put in my order at 8:15… it is now 10PM as i am writing this review. My food is not here, i don’t live too far. I should’ve just went myself (i know)… but almost 2 hours is ridiculous!

This is an update review from when we first ordered from here.
What can I say? They’ve gotten even better with time! They now deliver from 5pm instead of 10pm which is a godsend. Their nachos and cheese come with a large amount of nachos, lots of cheese, sour cream, cilantro, and sometimes beans and they’re just the bomb. Their tacquitos are crunchy on the outside with a nice soft white chicken breast meat on the inside with some jalapenos that add a nice kick to them. I can’t recommend the cali burritos enough, they’re just so good but I can’t always have them because I know I won’t be able to finish it. We always order a side of onion rings too, perfection.
This place is great for when you just want something small to eat at less than $ 20, or if you’re really hungry and want to go all out.
Love this place, can’t get enough of it!

Sorry, not a fan. I ordered the burritos, onion rings and Coke combo for $ 7. The onion rings were over cooked. I thought I was eating Funions they were so crispy.(not in a good way). The burrito had more beans and rice than meat and the Coke was kinda flat.
It’s sad cause I was hoping to find a diamond in the rough here as I found the spot on Unilocal and it had 4 stars. My experience was so-​so.

I got full with 4. The tacos are stuffed with meat! Their salsa is spicy!

Some of the products are on the pricey side, but lets be for real we come for the tacos!
This location is where to be on Taco Tuesdays! $ 0.50 chicken or asada tacos with a limit of 10 per person. Regular tacos are just a $ 1. Once you’re done with payment, you just hand your order sheet over to the cooks and they’ll take care of it from there. The great part is they provide you with salsa, lemons, super hot jalapeños, and radishes. Hold on to the radishes because they will be your only savior when you take a bite of the jalapeños! The chorizo and al pastor tacos are delicious. Al pastor isn’t too sweet and the chorizo isn’t too spicy. Their actual meat selection is limited, but definitely looks fresh.
Parking can be tricky, but I’ve never had any issue. Service is okay, food makes up for it.

Everything at Disney walk closed at 10 p.m. It’s not like any spot on The Walk could deliver authentic affordable cantina tacos anyway. So I Unilocaled Tacos and it lead me to this place open till 3 a.m. It hit the spot, the chicken tacos were the winner between them and the asada. And the red sauce took the cake. Plus it’s a market. Oh yea, we also got a free taco for checking in on Unilocal.Much as gracias amigos.

I can’t get over how good the tacos are here. It definitely looks a little rough on the outside, but I promise you the tacos are delicious and its at a great price!
My friend and I were super hungry after a whole day at Disneyland, and we were both in the mood for tacos. We find this place on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Walking up to the store we were both a little hesitant. (It’s not in the nicest of areas) We walk in and head straight to the counter where the chef makes the food. After standing there for a minute, he instructed us to head to the other counter to take our order. We ordered chicken and carne asada tacos. It’s a pretty reasonable price. I think it was 1.50/taco. If you check in on Unilocal you get one taco free! After ordering our food we brought our ticket to the chef. He made our tacos super fast and we were out of there in 10 minutes.
We get back to our hotel and finally get to try our tacos. I have to say the chicken taco is probably my favorite. The chicken is tender and not dry at all! I also love the green salsa the tacos come with. It’s the perfect amount of sweet and spicy! Oh, if you ask for a cooked pepper they’ll give you them for free!
Overall the food here is soooooo good. Im really craving it and wish I could come back to eat more tacos! The only downside is the area is a little sketchy! Try ordering online and picking up. It’ll be a lot faster!
