FOOD: I am a die hard Disneyland fan, so I’d say I’m at Disney about 20% of my life. Going to Disneyland can surely add up, so finding a good quality but yet cheap meal is a must. I had the Chipotle chicken sandwich which is only ~$ 6.99, and a very good sized portion. The serving doesn’t feel two people, unless you get full fairly quickly. It’s good enough for two small children.(just something to keep in mind) I also had the potato salad which is only ~ 2.49, don’t forget to use your Disneyland annual pass for a nice 10%-15% discount(depending on which pass you own) SERVICE: The food is prepared rather quickly. When you arrive you go through this assembly line type of system. You order at the cashier what you’d like, she gives you a ticket receipt and you grab anything else from the deli that you’d like. Once you get all the things you want, you pass to a cashier. From there you pay and then they call your number… Give it a try guys, pretty cheap meal if your at Disney and on a budget!

After a pretty unimpressive first visit, I’ve since come back a few times and thought I’d update my review… I usually only eat here with my friends after running a half marathon at Disneyland. I almost always order their Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich and two Stellas. The lines can be long, but it moves fairly quickly. The first person you reach will take your food order. You then pick up your drinks before reaching the second person which is the cashier. You pay for your food and they’ll give you a pager to notify you when to return when your food is ready. Please note that they have to empty all beer into plastic cups. You should find a spot to eat while you wait. We usually grab a table in the outdoor patio. Unless your party is big, you might have to share the table with others. *Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich* I like this combination. The spiciness is just the right level for me. It’s got a little kick to it, but not overpowering. I guess sandwiches aren’t really my thing. I still was not that impressed with their sandwiches. The Chipotle Chicken Avocado sandwich was much better than the Ham & Swiss sandwich that I had gotten on my first visit. I will say that this is a decent place to grab something quick and inexpensive.

Holiday turkey and chipotle chicken avocado are my favorite sandwiches! Their both hot sandwiches… The holiday turkey has corn bread, gravy, turkey, and cranberry! Omg literally reminds you of thanksgiving! Their chicken sandwich has avocado and their bbq sauce!

First time trying Earl was in Vegas. The line can get a little long. I ordered the turkey sammie and also the chicken avocado chipotle. The sandwiches are not bad, but they are not great either. I would eat here if there’s no other places to eat in dt disney.

After hearing so much about Earl’s, I finally had the opportunity to go out to Downtown Disney to try it. My friend and I split the chipotle chicken, philly cheese steak, and pastrami. Chipotle chicken was my fave, followed by pastrami, and then the philly cheese steak. But they were ALL delicious!!! The bread is probably the best component of the sandwich. Freshly baked, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. AMAZING. There were so many sandwich choices… I wanted to try them ALL! However, one down side is that it is quite a walk from parking to the store. The line is long, but moves very fast, so don’t be intimidated by the long line. There is plenty of outdoor seating, which is great. And of course, the location is amazing since it is in Downtown Disney. Remember, parking for 3 hours is FREE!!!

Yup — I love this place. Both me and my boyfriend give it a solid 5 stars! My favorite is the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich — no bacon, and wheat. The wheat bread doesn’t really make a difference taste-wise, so it’s worth opting for the wheat when it’ll still taste amazing! The bread is always crispy on the outside, but soft and fluffy on the inside(aka, PERFECT). The sandwiches are warm and wrapped up as beautiful golden nuggets that make you feel like you’re opening a treasure! Also love the broccoli cheddar soup, and the chicken tortilla. The chicken tortilla has a little spice to it, but nothing major. These always come out steaming hot, never luke warm! Despite the fact that it’s in downtown disney, the wait is always reasonable even with a long line, and we’ve somehow managed to find seating every time we go. There’s a huge outdoor patio with heating lamps, so you’re bound to find a seat somewhere. An important thing to note — you order first, then pay at the end of the line. Love coming here after a long day at Disneyland… especially when it’s open after park hours!

Definitely a huge fan of Earl of Sandwich. I always crave Earl’s when i’m in Vegas… Now I crave Earl’s when i’m at Disneyland! When I see that gold wrapped sandwich waiting for me on the counter. I know its about to go down! My go to sandwiches are always the Tuna Melt or the Full Montagu. The bread… the cheese… the meat… zomgosh. Everything taste so damn good. Dammit. I think I’m going to make a trip[ tomorrow for dinner! Service: Always friendly. Price: Affordable. Parking: If you have free parking, I would suggest parking in the structure. Downtown Disney parking is horrible! But the only plus side is the first 2 hours are free. And if you get your ticket validated, you can get another 2 hours free. And pro tip. if you decide to leave the downtown disney parking lot pass midnight the gate is usually open and you’ll be able to get out for free. :) but you didn’t hear that from me. Will I be back? Hell yteahhh! it’s mother f’n Earl of Sandwich! I do have random cravings of these sandwiches.

Solid sandwiches that are the best deal for breakfast/lunch/dinner in Downtown Disney! You also get a discount if you are a passholder or a AAA member. The sandwiches are perfectly assembled on a line and toasted and you can even customize(i.e. I ask for no mayo and extra tomatoes). My favorites here are the Chipotle Chicken Avocado and the Holiday. The Chipotle Chicken has great flavor, a good amount of protein, and creamy avocado that all results in delicious bites of goodness. The Holiday comes with Turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, and is perfect in or out of season — especially when you’re craving Thanksgiving dinner. For breakfast they offer somewhat smaller sandwiches but they are hearty coming with ham/turkey, egg and cheese. The club, hawaiian, caribbean are also good options for sandwiches– basically you can’t go wrong.

This place has amazing sandwiches. However, I prefer the one at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. I had the tuna sandwich with extra red onions and it was really good. It is the bread that makes their sandwiches great. So you can pretty much pick your meat preference and you can’t go wrong. The bread is crunchy, yet a little gooey. The service, however, is definitely better than the one in Las Vegas. The place is immaculate, considering how busy they are. With that said, if you plan on coming during lunch or dinner, make sure you have a lot of extra time. Because the wait can be pretty ludicrous. For what you get, I think the price is fair, especially Real Estate in Disney. Tips: The parking is also a little far and crowded. So can be a little inconvenient if you’re in a hurry. Definitely not a grab and go place. Convenience: 3⁄5 Price: 4⁄5 Quality: 4⁄5 Quantity: 4⁄5 Cleanliness: 5⁄5 Atmosphere: 4⁄5

I’ve been a huge fan of Earl of Sandwich since I found the location in Las Vegas, so this was a no brainer while I was up in the area for a race. I brought my sister too, so I was stoked as it meant 2 sandwiches to split! It was also nice as they are very affordable. The line moved really fast which was nice. We ordered and then as usual, moved down the line to pay at the end. We got a 10% AAA member discount as well, which the cashier was nice enough to ask us about. Thanks for good service! My sister got the Thai Chicken Wrap($ 6.99). it contained grilled chicken, romaine lettuce, Chinese cabbage mix, sweet chili sauce & Thai peanut dressing. Wow, I was so happy we split sandwiches. This was literally a salad in a wrap and it was wonderful. The sauce made it for me. Not overpowering, but a nice peanut sauce with a small kick of heat. I got the Hawaiian BBQ($ 6.99) that contained grilled chicken, ham, Swiss cheese, pineapple &BBQ sauce that also had a nice kick. I got it on white bread as I do really enjoy their bread. Warm, fresh and solid enough to stay together. This was another great sandwich as the sweetness of the pineapple really worked with the sauce and meats. Yum! For a good fast meal, that is a lot higher quality than most fast foods, this is the place!

Orange juice in a cup is NOTFRESHSQUEEZED, and they still charge $ 3.29!!! When I asked the worker, she just looked at me with bad attitude and didn’t offer to swap out my drink. Very misleading to put juice in those plastic cups. Sandwich was awesome but mad about the juice.

Unilocal Challenge 2015305⁄365 A very late over due review stuck in my drafts. Another Unilocal made me eat it type of place located in Downtown Disney near the movie theaters and ESPN zone. Another type of place that you love or you hate. And a place that leaves your belly hungry. At least mine was digging for crumbs. Chipotle chicken minus the avacado was good but nothing mindblowing. The only thing that blew was my money. Seriously, is this a meal or a snack? Limited indoor seating and plenty of outdoor seating. Your neighboring eaters will be up close and personal since it is parkbench like eating. I would return while at Downtown Disney, but I would definitely order more food. #780

Really good hot sandwiches located in the downtown Disney district. My favorites are the Holiday Turkey sandwich and the Chipotle Chicken Avocado. The soups, which changes daily are also worth trying. Most, if not all of their sandwiches are $ 6.99, which is not bad considering the location. However, this is one of the few places that does not take the Disney Annual pass holder discount(EDIT: Thanks to Unilocaler Jason G., he confirmed that it DOES take the Disney annual pass and the soups no longer change). Service is pretty fast, seating however can be quite limited especially during the dining rush hours; but most people don’t mind sharing a table seating, since the tables are long picnic sized tables with benches as chairs. So if you are in the area and are looking for a good hot sandwich, give Earl of Sandwich a try. Holiday Turkey — This basically tastes like your Thanksgiving dinner thrown into a sandwich. It is quite filling. (Turkey, cornbread stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce & mayonnaise) Chipotle Chicken Avocado — Those susceptible to hot/spicy foods might notice that there is some ‘heat’ in this sandwich. (Grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar, avocado, lettuce & chipotle sauce)

Cheap eats in Downtown Disney that serves alcohol and has great sandwiches! This place definitely wow’ me. We were reservation-less on a Saturday night and stumbled upon here. Their sandwich and soup selections were large. I ended up getting their Holiday Sandwich(Turkey with mashed potatoes and Cranberry sauce) which was great! I also added on a tomato soup which really hit the spot– only wish they made sandwich/soup combos here. If this restaurant weren’t the furthest from park in Downtown Disney, I think it would be way more busy given the great food and prices. Would highly recommend coming here– especially on a busy night.

This location in downtown Disney is a hidden gem. If you want reasonably priced food that tastes great, this is the place to stop by. Disneyland is pricey enough, your breakfast or lunch doesn’t have to be. The way it works, you place your order with one person walk about 8 feet to another person to pay for your food, they will give you a buzzer to let you know when your sandwich is ready. You get your own drinks, including coffee at a side bar. Search for a table, some times that’s really hard to find one but there’s a lot of outside seating as well as a small inside section. When the buzzer goes off you return to where you paid and they give you your food all wrapped up and ready to be devoured. I’ve eat both breakfast and lunch sandwiches here and both have tasted great! I highly recommend waiting in line for this restaurant, there’s a line for a reason right?

Crusin’ through Downtown Disney late at night looking for something good but quick to eat! I wasn’t particular about anything tat I would eat and I remembered my friend telling me about Earl of Sandwich. I walked up to the door and it seemed as if they closed, but I asked if they were opened. The cashier replied«no» jokingly and I was so sad but then he said«just kidding, come on in!» Haha, he pulled a fast one on me. I’m not sure if I picked the wrong sandwich to eat, but it was nothing special. Just a regular sandwich to me, comparable to the likes of Panera Bread. I picked the Grilled Chicken Chipotle with Avocado Sandwich. It was nice and warm and felt good going in my tummy on the cold night but it just didn’t wow me. Besides me not being wowed. I also left hungry I feel I would have needed two sandwiches to fill me up.

There must be 2nd? Got there mid-day Saturday. Weaved through a line, just like I was at Disneyland — the stuff on the wall reminded me of that too… Ordered The Full Montago, because everyone else does, and my daughter got the Chicken Bacon Wrap, 2 sodas came to $ 21.56. The Full Monty is a 8″ sandwich that comes with 1 slice of roast beef(real good), 1 slice phantom meat, 1 tomato slice, 1 really sad piece of lettuce. Good it was, great it was not. Why the high rating from all the other Unilocalers !!! Got home and got the second half of my daughter’s wrap — she didn’t like it. It was overly drenched Italian dressing on lettuce, with chicken, bacon and some cucumbers. Where is the avocado? Turns out it was in the half that my daughter ate & none in my half. Again, why the high rating from all the other Unilocalers !!! So, if I were to compare — The roast beef was better than Subway, but Subway’s overall sandwich is better AND cheaper. Big Mike’s is more expensive, but a lot more stuff and 3 sizes to choose from AND well worth the cost. Stuck at Disneyland and need some food — I would rather have a turkey leg or the fake BBQ than this. Won’t waste your time with more comparisons. It was an A-OK sandwich, but I wouldn’t make any kind of a drive to come here again. Actually, I wouldn’t come back at all.

Such a great option for the Disney visitor on-the-go. Located in Downtown Disney all the way near the Disney Hotel, this eatery is a walk up and order sandwich place. When you walk in, the menu will be right in front. They have an assortment of delicious and fresh sandwiches, breakfast options, gourmet sides, chips and desserts. You order first then pay after. I ended up ordering the chicken chipotle on wheat. The sandwich tasted fresh, the bread was baked well and I felt very satisfied right after! And for such an affordable price compared to the other surrounding restaurants and such friendly staff, this place gets all 5 of my stars. My friend swears all the sandwiches taste amazing. Too bad they don’t have an earl of sandwich back home where I’m from, but I can’t wait to try this place again soon!

I’m a long time fan. Even though I read online they’ve revamped some of their recipes, they still have kept their signature bread that their sandwiches are made with, and that same tasty Tuna Melt I always love. I’ve also had their breakfast sandwiches when staying overnight and needing a quick breakfast before Disneyland/California Adventure, and they also are phenomenal. They also have numerous other options if you don’t want a sandwich. I hope the bread never changes, because it’s a crisp outside, with a soft inside, but that’s not all… the taste of the bread is phenomenal, such as I’ve never had anywhere else. Very unique and different. The first time I had a sandwich from Earl of Sandwich was at the Planet Hollywood location in Las Vegas, and I’ve been hooked on their tuna melt since then. I can’t count the number of times I’ve eaten at their Vegas location. I’m not a fan of mayonnaise(at all), and their sandwiches are made with much less mayo than usual for a tuna melt. Earl concentrates on adding lots of cheese instead. This results in a very tasty sandwich without all the mayo. I’ve also eaten at their Anaheim location many times. It’s located at Downtown Disney. I’ve had a season pass to Disneyland for years, so we(most times) go here for lunch, as it makes this an affordable and filling lunch, plus you can browse the many interesting shops and get desserts elsewhere. Pro tip to get there: To avoid the very long walk from Disneyland to Downtown Disney, board the free Monorail in Disneyland, located by the Finding Nemo Submarine IN Disneyland, and it’ll drop you off in Downtown Disney, very near Earl of Sandwich. The Monorail is air-conditioned, so it’s a good way to get out of the heat for awhile. You can also access Downtown Disney at several other parking lots scattered around if you’re not visiting Disneyland/California Adventure. Highly recommend! FIVEFABULOUSSTARS!!!

All hail the Earl! Ok so this review is a couple years in the making. Several Sammy’s and a few visits. Initially I was so excited to go to a closer than Las Vegas location, but it just wasn’t the same. It was ok, but for some reason I remember the Earl was way more tasty in Vegas. I remember in Vegas these sandwiches were incredible. Maybe the Vegas booze makes ‘em taste better? But wait they got beer! A nice teaser but this food is best eaten drunk in Vegas! some domestics and a few common imports. 3***Star I’ve had the Holiday Turkey Sammach in LV and loved it. Loaded with turkey, cornbread stuffing, turkey gravy, cranberry sauce & mayonnaise. You know you want one. But you can’t have mine! What’s not to like about this one? Didn’t have the same gusto. Or maybe I wasn’t in the holiday spirit of things? Still the Down Town Dizzy Land version hit the spot and at a nice price too for DT-DL. A 4.25****Star eater. I liked the All American. Similar to the above Holiday with turkey, cheddar, cranberry sauce, lettuce, Roma tomato & ranch dressing. I got mine with mayo rather than ranch. A pretty good Sammy but I like the Holiday better. I’m a sucker for stuffing and gravy! 3.5*** Stars. The daily special I had with roast beef and cheddar was pretty bomb. They need this on the normal rotation. Only thing I’d do different would be add tomato or green chili. Still a 4****Star eater. The full Mont’y Is another good one. Roast beef, turkey, Swiss, cheddar, lettuce, Roma tomato & mustard sauce is a pretty safe bet for any newbie to Earl’s. 3.75**** Star Oh yea the tater salad is pretty good with a nice herby taste. The lines have been long or short so be prepared to wait. Everything is pretty D-land clean so that’s a plus but the servers are robots. You may have to wait for a seat too. Nothing super awesome but fresh and good value for the venue. –1*Star for the lines and robots. Don’t forget to validate your parking ticket. My cheap choice for DT Dizzyland dining. I’ll be back.
