Great place to grab lunch. I see alot of negative nancies on here writing some nonsense, leads me to believe they would complain even if they get exactly what they wanted at the price they watned. Eat here twice a week, work across the street, JOE the owner and his wife run a quality operation. Only place I can get tuna and it doesnt feel like it is saturated in Mayo. Also have Squaw bread, cant turn that down. Thanks for the quality lunches for the past 2 years JOE!!!

This little sandwich shop is right down the street from where I work and I almost always get the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. I dont know what it is about this particular sandwich but i like it. Granny’s is family owned and operated and the owner always remembers you when you walk in. Granny’s has a dining area int he back down the hallway which is quite large. I have only had lunch from here but I think they have breakfast as well. This is a good sandwich shop in an area where there is very little around for lunch.

Recommend Great quality Great customer service Independently owned and operated by extremely nice people Nothing fancy and the portions are realistic. We would return. The next time I would like to try the veggie sandwich! My husband would probably enjoy the cashew chicken sandwich. Everything is made there fresh without preservatives. Best wishes from ~ Lucky #13 :)

Regular customers for more than 10 years. Faves are a tie between the chicken cashew and the vegetarian. Each sandwich comes with a side of potato salad or cole slaw. Joe always greets with a big smile and a ‘oh hi!’

I love the place, the owners are the sweetest people. I always get the chipotle or the tuna melt my favorites with potato salad. Even when I moved jobs I would come by to get my sandwhich. Always call in your order :) it gets busy during lunch time !

I had to write a review to forewarn fellow Unilocalers. The price of the sandwiches compared to what you receive is appalling. I ordered the #39, a turkey, cheese and avocado. Only options for your sandwich are tomato, lettuce, and mayo. For the price, over $ 6 for a sandwich that your only option for cheese is american. I’m confounded on how this place stays open. Pros: Decent bread Cons: Only has American cheese(pretty sure it’s Kraft) 3 thin slices of meat for a full sandwich MINIMAL condiments and other options Really do not bother, for the same price you can get a much larger sandwich from a Subway which I would never recommend, but would go there over Granny’s Deli any day. Regarding quality of ingredients, and quantity you receive, a darn Subway would win hands down every time, which is super depressing.

Found this place one day when I was looking for some homemade soup as I was not feeling well To my happy surprise, the had homemade chicken rice or noodle soup. I ordered a big cup of it and was so happy I went back for several day until I felt better. They are so nice and helpful. Great deli sandwiches and chips. Good drink assortment too. Don’t be thrown off my the appearance of the place it is worth it. Don’t listen to the bad reviews, try it yourself.

Just went in to get a sandwich and they don’t close for 15 minutes and the owner told me that they’re too busy to help me and it would not serve because they had such a big order… Very very poor customer service.

I’ve worked down the street from here and never noticed this place! It’s in between some businesses. I was driving by, saw the small sign that said sandwiches and teriyaki so stopped in. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl to go. Opened up the Styrofoam bowl and it was drenched in teriyaki sauce. It had chicken that was well seasoned, a piece of broccoli, a few pieces of carrots and a little cabbage. It was okay. Not the best I’ve had, and not the worst. Not sure I’d order it again — if I did I’d ask for sauce on the side please! I might come back to try the sandwiches as they have quite a big selection. Service was good and quick. Total was about $ 6.

This is the essence of HITW dining. Granny’s is a real hole in the wall. Not a butt hole or a glory hole but a hole in one. This place is a winner and you will be too if you give ‘em a try. Tucked away between an apparently empty embroidery shop and some other industrial place is an usual sammy shop known as Granny’s. You are about to step into a place known as the sandwich zone. This is kind of a weird place with great sandwiches. Weird in a good kind a weird way. You enter to a cashiers counter compete with menu wall boards a cold drink refrigerator an ice cream freezer and a couple of shelf’s of chips. Then you head down the hall of soda machine
toward the dining room in the back. Bathrooms(clean) are west of the soda fountain which is also where you can load up on pepperchinis, lemon for your drink and pickled cucumbers for who knows what. I hate cucumbers they give me heartburn. FOOD: The 40+ standard sandwiches here are good and not at a bad price. There are a bunch of the standard cold sandwiches, turkey, roast beef, tuna, ham, BLT, salami, egg salad, chicken salad, more, plus hot stuff like pastrami, cheese steak, meatball, tuna melt, sausage n cheese, chicken terri and others. Lots of healthy sammys for you that worry about that kind of stuff. Teriyaki bowls(8 kinds), ramen, salads(10 kinds) and they even have a dozen early morning 8:30 — 10:30 breakfast sammys(real cheap & good $ 2– 3), Soup/salad ½ sammy deals $ 6. Food today with my lunch bunch: # 9 Egg Salad … Normally don’t trust E-salad unless I make it, but the egg salad on squaw bread here was not only delicious but ginormously huge. 4+****Stars #29 Cheese Steak sammy… standard bell peppers, provolone(?), and thin beef strips. Very tasty meat, a little garlic salt and pepper made this a very tasty sandwich 4****Stars #30 Submarine Said it was A bomb. No pics. Plus we all got a little shot of cole slaw, I liked, tasted like KFC’s yum. Granny’s is a good choice for lunch during the week The Soups are solid and great on cold days. Couldn’t resist
I’ll be back

What a Chicken Teriyaki Bowl! Chicken — super juicy and full of sauce Veggies — just the right amount Rice — nice and fresh I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered a Chicken Teriyaki bowl and it came to right under $ 6… I ordered to-go and when I opened up my bowl it was packed up to the brim full of chicken with some broccoli and carrots. The sauce was plentiful(just the way I like it). As I dug in I realized they even had some cabbage in there(I love steamed cabbage!) I was a happy camper and will definitely be back for more. Too bad they don’t have their Buy 1 Get 150% off anymore, but still worth every penny. I once tried a sandwich here that I wasn’t too impressed with but I just saw that they have a Chicken Pesto Sandwich that I would like to try next time. Be cautioned that the interior isn’t … modern. It’s pretty old and oddly laid out. You order in the front, then there’s a hallway where you can get drink refills and such, and that leads to the back area which opens up to a pretty spacious dining area with plenty of tables and chairs. If you’re in the area and want a quick bite to eat, I definitely recommend Granny’s Deli and if you’re a fan of a Teriyaki Bowl, I highly recommend it… price and quantity is pretty decent.

Nice little sandwich shop I came across while on my lunch walk. Nice people and tasty sandwiches. Average price and clean dining room. It is always nice to help small businesses, but the food speaks for itself. Fresh bread and good ingredients. Try it out, you’ll enjoy it.

At first I wasn’t sure about posting a review because I didn’t want more people to crowd this mom and pap sandwich secret near my work… but then I figured they deserve the publicity and sure, how people should eat here! I came here for a salad but I left with a Veggie sandwich and a dinner salad. I’m currently not eating land animals and trying to eat healthier(long story). I’ll start with the dinner salad, nothing too special but fresh veggies with your choice dressing(my ranch was probably in a cold fridge for a while because it was somewhat lumpy). The Veggie Sandwich is what was spectacular(see picture). It’s avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts and sliced egg set between two slices of squaw bread. This thing was fresh and delicious. Next time I’m going to ask for mustard rather than mayo. If you’re an avocado fan, they give you a lot! They also give you a side of cole slaw! My meal came out to be a little over $ 8. I can’t wait to come back and even more so when I’m able to eat chicken and turkey again! There’s a huge selection of cold and hold sandwiches. They serve breakfast and lots of vegetarian choices! It’s not a fancy place but has a lot of heart! There’s a large selection of bottled drinks that you normally wouldn’t find in a Subway and even a large selection of gum/candy. There’s also combo specials. When you first enter, you don’t think there’s a dining room but it’s in the back… very quaint. You can call ahead to order your food too.

I’m all about supporting the independant business owner. I am not about paying $ 3 extra for a «deluxe sandwhich» opposed to a «cold sanwhich’ when all deluxe means is a slice or two of avocado. Granny’s Deli has a weird layout. You walk in and order. There’s a refridgerator of half stocked drinks, a chip and candy display and some chairs to sit in while you wait. The one I sat on was sunken in and I’m 100% sure my fatass wasn’t the one who broke it. If you walk into the hallway there’s a door to the kitchen, two bathroom doors and the soda fountain machine(they have cherry coke!!). If you keep walking back there’s a room of tables. It kind of reminded me of summer camp. I got the sandwich called«Stardust». Im not really sure why it’s called that, it was just ham, avocado, and lettuce. I asked for it on sourdough and got rye(yucky). For my small sandwich and a small soda it came out to $ 9. Granny’s is in a good location for the local buisnesses on their lunch break but not worth driving out to.

Tucked away in one of the many rectangular striplets of NorthEast Anaheim exist Granny’s Deli. Down on Kraemer near Coronado you see an elongated parking area and a sign which says Sandwiches and Teriyaki. Inside is a small ordering area but enough space to wait for your food, the drinks, and all. A few feet away is the hallway area with a soda fountain, which includes Cherry Coke!!! Down some more you see a table area where you can eat, I took to go since I had a lot of work to do back at the office. The parking seems easy enough, the service was cool, eating space is in the back area. The freindly man suggester thier bowls and sandwiches too, I chose the roast beef. I asked for no mayo, no tomato but it was good, not dry as I expected. I also recieved my choice of chips, I picked Jalapeño Kettle over so many options. So, a sandich(around 6−½×3), bag of chips and medium fountain soda for around 7 bucks. I saw people selecting other items, some of which I plan to try including the beef bowl, teriyaki bowl, cheesesteak, meatball sub and more. Much like with a hot older granny, I plan to come back for more things I have yet to try.
