I suggest stopping here first to build up a nice buzz! They have well crafted beers and cocktails so drink up. Don’t sit down either! Go walk around with your drink! Enjoy that sh*t! This place makes a great start to build up an appetite too!

Ok so we have been here before and the service was so much better! Tonight my partner And I wanted to grab a drink before dinner at the blind rabbit. I ordered a kernel one crab and he ordered a Moscow mule. It took exactly 18 minutes to get our first and only drink! It was so disappointing because it wasn’t busy and we def would’ve ordered another round! At time it feels the ingredients of the drink is more important than customer service! That’s sad because it has a nice concept in a good location. I want to come back again only if my drink comes out faster!

This spot is great. The mixologists are friendly and have amazing recommendations. Highly recommend everyone to check them out

This is my favorite bar to visit in Anaheim. Their Moscow Mule is incredible and it’s the standard I hold all other Moscow Mules to. It’s perfectly cold and has the sharp tang of the ginger beer and lime. It’s perfect with the little dash of bitters on top. Our bartender was really nice and also suggested I try a London Mule, which just switched the vodka out for gin. It was really good too! They had lots of craft beers to choose from, which my boyfriend really enjoyed. We always love coming here and will definitely be back.

Went to the Hammer because our favorite bartender at Ecco was not working today. Max took great care of us! He was very knowledgeable and personable. He fixed us a great drink and gave us the history of it as well. Great service from a great bartender. Great location central to all the restaurants in the packing house. I’ll be back for sure!

Horrible customer service. Do not go there unless you want terrible service. Bartenders were more interested in talking to each other about personal issues than focusing on their customers. We paid the bill and after 20 minutes of waiting, no change was ever given.

This is my second time coming here and again it was great! The bartenders are very friendly and will walk you through some tasters so that you have the most enjoyable beverage for your visit. You can bring food into the bar from the many eateries in the facility. Staff is great! I might have mentioned that already. Only down side is parking but that is no reflection on the bar. Just valet your car for $ 3. Drink responsibly!

I’ve only been here twice, but had a great time in both instances. After drinks at The Blind Rabbit, we came here to continue our night here. Albeit a tad expensive, the drinks were delicious. They have different varieties of the Moscow Mule(Gin = London Mule, Irish Whiskey = Irish Mule. etc), and other«classy» drinks. Bartenders were nice too. A great place to sit/chill/talk. Since it’s in an open area, they allow you to bring food from other places too(garlic parmesan fries from Iron Press are highly recommended).

Went here last night for my friend’s birthday. I love Moscow Mules and they offered about 7 different kinds(I don’t remember the exact amount but there a lot). I got the London Moscow mule cuz I like gin. It was really smooth! I was surprised as I was expecting low quality gin. Prices are pretty expensive. My drink was $ 10 but most of the other special cocktails are around $ 12. It’s in the hipster Packing House so it’s expected to be pricey.

$ 20 total for a Moscow Mule & Bloody Mary. They had a varied list of alcohol and drinks which made for a good selection. There was lots of space to sit, although bartenders get busy and don’t really talk much. Also it’s pretty loud to put in your order over the long bar. My moscow mule was alright, a little too much ice, and wasn’t as strong as I’d like. Would come here again if I’m getting food at Anaheim Packing.

This place is my all time favorite bar. I really believe that Casey is the reason Wifey and I keep coming back. We enjoy bringing friends here and showing off our Casey. This is a place where the bartender knows exactly what you are in the mood for drinking… EVERYTIME! Awesome service everytime. .he never fails to impress us with very classic and very creative drinks. Say hi to Casey and Tim… tell them Eli sent you.

I wanted to go to the Iron Press for some beers, but they closed early on Christmas Eve. My brother and I settled for Hammer bar since we just wanted a drink and catch up. I usually love snakebites(stout mixed with a cider), but they don’t do it here :(I ended up getting the strawberry cider and my brother got the passion fruit cider. Both were really good! Strawberry cider($ 8): Super sweet with a strong strawberry base! It tastes like carbonated strawberry water hehe yummy! Passionfruit cider($ 8): Less sweeter than the strawberry cider, but definitely fruity still! It’s more of a citrus taste rather than super sweet compared to the strawberry cider. Bartender was really friendly and patient as we sampled some beers before order. I’m not sure if he was forgetful or possibly buzzed. But he forgot my bill then forgot to run my card after I gave it to him for the bill lol Nice guy though! Decent selection of beers and cocktails. Presentation could be better though.

Last night was my first time visiting the Anaheim Packing House. Half way through the night we ventured over to the Hammer Bar to grab some drinks and chill out. The bar is located in the middle of the top floor of the Packing House and is directly surrounded by all the things the Packing House had to offer(for those of you who have not been, the Packing House contains a series of independent vendors and has a very hipster ambiance). This bar was exactly the type of fun we were looking for. Josh, our bartender, was very charismatic and tentative. We never went long without a drink, and he made sure to answered all of our questions about the bar and its menu. The best part about the bar, in my opinion, are the Mules. Hammer bar possesses around 8 different types of Mules, which basically all have different types of alcohol in them. My friends and I all ordered a different Mule and tried them all. My personal favorites were the«Mexican Mule» and the«Dark and Stormy»(I believe it was called). All and all, we had a great time; and will definitely be making another trip to the Hammer Bar soon.

While at a recent Unilocal Elite event at the Packing House the Hammer Bar invited us to stop by and try a specially prepared drink. It was my first time visiting and found the Hammer Bar to be a fun place to grab a quick drink and could easily imagine hanging out there for a bit talking with friends. Thanks Hammer Bar for having us! LOCATION&AMCIANCE(Rating 4) It’s not your typical«bar».(dark and dreary). It’s located on the second level of the Packing house in the center of the atrium area. It’s got plenty of seating and the vibe is great. SERVICE(Rating 4.25) Both the bar tender and the waitress I encountered were happy to see me and in good spirits. The service wasn’t overly quick, but there was allot going on so a little slack in in order. BLUEMULE(Rating 3.5) It’s a fun seasonal cocktail, but a bit too spicy for me. Even with that said, it was finished. ;)

Happy Hour at the Packing House! Of course its during the time when most 9−5ers are still at work, but on this day I had the rare opportunity to enjoy Happy Hour! Moscow Mule for about $ 4? Sold. It was strrrong. It’s in a prime location at the Packing House; you pretty much see it to the right once you go through the main entrance. I like the open area, where you get to see and enjoy the surrounding areas. There’s also saddles for you to sit on! I wouldn’t sit on them, but it makes a good photo op. I’m a fan, especially for happy hour!

Not a fan of this place and probably won’t be coming back here. They have a pretty sweet spot — 2nd floor at the Packing District near the entrance(you really can’t miss it). Came here with friends for drinks to catch up — we came here since The Blind Rabbit was booked and crowded. What killed it for us was service. First of all, it took forever for us to order our drinks. The bartender clearly saw us but decided to attend people that were waiting after us. I guess the 1st people waiting get served last here in this place. Second, they messed up the drinks. My friend ordered an Irish Mule but he got a Moscow Mule. Third, the drinks they didn’t technically mess up, they skimped on. My Old Fashion was literally ¼ of the glass filled WITH ice. WTF? $ 12 for a shot of Whiskey + Ice? Wow. My GF ordered a Royal Hawaiian. I was watching the bartender shake and mix the cocktail and once he popped open the cocktail shaker, a shitton of booze was spilled all over his arm. What did he do? Fill it with ice instead of re-making the drink and served it to us. Jeez. At least they got the Gluten Free Beer right… Not coming back again.

Nice spot to grab a craft beer and some eats. Nothing really special, just some creative mixed cocktails and a handful of beers and IPA’s. Located dead center on top of the stairs, can’t miss it. The charcuterie plate was okay — Prosciutto, salami, pickled cauliflower, olives, grapes, nutty mustard, two types of cheese and a mound of toasted bread. Their IPA’s are always changing and they rotate their beers often. The bartenders and servers are okay. There’s a little attitude here… kind of «too cool for school» type tude. But our server was good at explaining stuff and he was informative. It was just when he was busy, the other guys/girls were not too helpful or even attentive what-so-ever…even when they were just standing there trying to look cool. Please, stop posing, do your job and get me a fucking beer.

I was not very impressed with hammer and workshop. The service from our female bartender was ok but the male bar back rubbed me the wrong way. More to come on that. The drinks were ok, nothing fabulous. The food was meh, but what was I expecting from bar food right? I was expecting it to be good, half decent at least, that’s what I was expecting. I tried the Killer Queen cocktail. It was made with ghost chili. It was spicy like I anticipated, but that’s it. Spicy but without any other real flavor. Would I order it again? No. Would I recommend it? Only to someone who really wanted to drink something spicy for spiciness sake. Now, the bar back. He brought us water and some of was spilled onto the counter where my CHANEL purse was resting. I realized what happened and picked my purse up and looked up at him to which he says that I might want to move my purse. As water is soaking into my leather, I asked him for a napkin. To that he answers, «oh, napkins. Not sure if we have any, let me check» and he was saying something after that but u tuned him out. You don’t think you have napkins at the bar? Really? Omg. I almost went livid into restaurant manager mode. But before i could say anything, he brought some napkins for me. Since it was my friend’s birthday, I did not make an issue of this and kept the celebration going. And then the food came. Really late. But whatever, I get it, it’s the weekend, the place is packed. We ordered sliders, pretzels, and crabcakes. The flavor of the crabcakes were ok, but it sort of didn’t have a flaky texture, it was more rubbery. The pretzels were overcooked and hard. Kind of tough to eat. I didn’t even bother with the slider. For a place that screams potential, it was not very impressive. Been to the packing house a few times and always was curious to check this place out. My 2 star review got bumped to a 3 star because the 2 drinks my friends had were good. Bartender was right on when she recommended it to my friends. And that, I appreciate.

I’m at the Packing District, where can I get a drink in this place? Chippy has beers, Iron Press has beers, Kettlebar has beers, but where can I get a cocktail? There’s the Blind Rabbit Speakeasy, but you can’t even get in on the weekends without a reservation. That leaves Hammer Workshop and Bar. Hammer is that thing staring you straight in the face when you walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor. The vintage tools hanging, the tractor seat stools that could make a girl happy if it had batteries in it, metal tool boxes that hold snacks, it’s the best place in the building to people watch. I have had a few drinks here and haven’t run across any bad ones, but the one I like the most so far is the Lion’s Tail. It’s like a whiskey sour. They start it off right by using Buffalo Trace Bourbon, mix in some Old Spice Dram, Angostura Bitters, simple syrup and there you go. It’s just right and even girl approved(at least by my friends that were sneaking sips). The bar can get busy but if you just go up right up to the bar they will get to you quick enough. They do have a beer and cocktail menu so you’ll want to check that out as a few of the cocktails are seasonal. They can do you classic cocktails or if you are unsure of what to get but know your favorite poison, they can custom make a drink for you. Just say the words and wave a wand… Bourbon… Poof! Tequila… Poof! Gin… Poof! Cachaca… Poof. Mexican Coke and a Luxardo Cherry on the side… They can do that too. I haven’t seen the bartenders talk that much here, but the crowd in the area is somewhat social, more so than your typical OC crowd. There’s a mix of college age hipsters, people on their first online dates, middle age adults, and many locals but also some business travelers that ventured off the Disneyland/Anaheim Convention Center path. If you’re at the Packing District, this is your best bet to get a stiff one.

The Hammer Workshop & Bar is a really cool tool-themed hipster bar located on the second floor of the Packing House. The bartenders are great and the list of cocktails is impressive. I was lucky enough to try some of their cocktails like the Black Betty in the past at a previous Unilocal event. The bar is usually busy but winds down towards the later hours. They have beers on tap for $ 6. After dinner and dessert, my date and I wandered over to the Hammer for a nightcap. I had a pint of cider and it was a perfect end to a lovely evening. For us, service was quick. Last call is at midnight on the weekend, so drink up.
