The food’s great. And when they louse up, they give you more! Sometimes I wish they made more mistakes so I can get more food! LOL! But all kidding aside, this is one of the better Filipino restaurants I’ve ever been to here in north Orange County. The only problem I have is they prefer cash. And when you pay with a credit card, they charge you an additional $ 050 service charge. As a business myself that uses merchant services, I know for a fact this is a violation of their contract. But what can I say? The food’s great, so I just pay the extra 50 cents.

Love coming here to eat or to pick up pancit for my co-workers. Always having my favorites. It reminds me of home cooked meals.

This restaurant has multiple choices of food, but has no taste to the food. I wouldn’t recommend the food if you’re are hungry or needing a bite to eat. But it has a mini superstore to buy Filipino snacks and drinks. I wouldn’t recommend the food but I would recommend the superstore to buy snacks.

Yum. I found this place by accident and was so happy I did. Delicious, reliable, flavorful and moderately priced. I had the chicken adobo and loved it. I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes.

Actually they don’t even deserve 1 star. This is the first time that i saw a server that was talking about the costumer right in front of them just because he can’t understand tagalog they think it’s ok, well it’s not. your food is not even that good plus your costumer service is very poor. What happened to filipino hospitality?

This is a good traditional filipino spot that is better than jollibee and more of a home style filipino comfort food. When you’re craving filipino near Disneyland this is probably the closest spot to go to. Don’t expect to get served you have to order through the window!

What a little gem I found in this Filipino eatery. I love that it’s set up like a mom and pop shop. The food was fresh and ANGSARAP, just like home!!! Wish I could have sampled a little of everything. If this was buffet style as opposed to one, two or three item meal choice, I’d be in heaven. I’d definitely return of I’m in the area because anything is a good time for Filipino food.

Traditionally, my family comes here to eat when I’m in town(since 2013, I think?). Reviewing a few of the reviews, a few things came up such as the prices are expensive and food isn’t tasty. I believe it depends on where you come from, whether you’re living in Anaheim or out of state visiting. If you’re living in the area, I’m sure you’ve found other places that are cheaper and tastier to your preference of cooking styles. However, if you’re visiting and haven’t had filipino dishes in a loooong while, come on down! It really isn’t horrible filipino food. It has flavor and they always change it up. So some food choices to your liking may be served on some days, BUT they have many, many choices. They even serve steam white rice or garlic white rice. Upon entering the complex area, you’ll be overwhelmed with many Asian food places and stores. They have flavors from Vietnamese, Japanese, Filipino, and Chinese. I’m sure there’s more, but I usually go to specific areas. Lol. Anyways, Kapit Bahay is a restaurant AND mini-store. There is a dine-in area, but since it is a small area, it gets crowded. But hey, that’s how most Filipino restaurants are. Haha. It’s like a party at someone’s backyard with your kababayans. Haha. Okay, so you can order on the left side and also pay for the snacks you get. No kidding, they have a HUGE variety of snacks. They also sell Filipino hygiene products and other stuff on the left side of the cashier register. There’s more goodies at the back(right side), it’s more on the drinks and baked goods. When dining in, stay away from sitting at the back corner near, where you put your trays and throw trash. It’s too congested, but that’s where you find your condiments such as vinegar, soy sauce, and lumpia sauce. :) The portions may be small for some, but they always fill my mom and I. My husband is ALWAYS full here. lol. The food is tasty, I always get dinuguan(idk, if I spelled that right lol), lumpia, and kare kare. But I change up a bit and go for other foods when I come through here. Btw, if you really want desserts, there’s a Filipino bakery next to 99 cents Ranch Market on the left side. I believe it’s called Velrios? Something with the letter«V». Give it a try, it’s refreshing to come by when you’ve been deprived of Filipino food for so long. Gonna miss this place!

I usually get the chicken adobo and chicken stew — two item combo for $ 7.50. Sometimes the sauce to the adobo is a bit on the salty side, but most of the time I do leave full and satisfied. I got a pretty large portion of food this time around and ended up taking the rest home. It’s pretty pricey to order a la carte. Recommendation is to order a combo.

Overpriced Filipino food that isn’t even good. It’s $ 7.50 for a 2 entrée item + $ 4.25 for an additional item! I just wanted to add egg to my meal and they said it would be $ 4.25 for 1 egg!!! They must be trippin for the quality of food that they are serving! I wouldn’t come back and I suggest you do the same.

Went here because I wanted some authentic Filipino food and not just Jollibee and this was right next door. I ordered some sinigang, chicken afritada and pork adobo to go. Their price was reasonable but the portions were a bit on the smaller side. The food quality was pretty good. not too oily and very flavorful. I’d probably suggest getting there when they open so the food is a bit more fresh, esp if you want to eat it right away. This is a really small, but very well stocked Filipino restaurant. with some very friendly ladies behind the counter. Best place to go if you’re someone like me and don’t live with their parents and miss some home cooked Filipino food!

Came here for lunch with my family and partner visiting the area and found this place and was pretty much excited to eat here. Just to find out The food is so so and okay. I had 2 choices which was lechon kawali and menudo. I did enjoy the lechon kawali but had better ones in San Diego, the menudo was alright as well. I was expecting more of the Menudo with more ingredients in it like raisins. The garlic fried rice was served a bit cold and not as fresh plus it didn’t taste that great. Paid for 3 meals and it was a bit costly for the little amount of serving they gave. If I was really desperate I probably just shop for the ingredients and make my own Filipino food. Sorry not so sorry.

I had to write an update because they no longer serve Bifstek? That’s like a staple how could the no longer serve Bifstek??? They said they only make it for catering. It’s really the only reason why I came here.

I love this store. The food is good(especially their Igado and lechon kawali), the staff is very friendly and the best part is, they sell my favorite chicharon here! OMSG!!! This is the only place that I know of that sells this chicharon here in Orange County. Now I don’t have to go to Las Vegas to get my favorite chicharon. Lol

This place is what I remembered on how a good Filipino food should taste! However, we all have different palate but for me, this is a good one. My all time favorite is their kare– kare! Yum, and their pork adobo. I love to see all the Filipino dish but when I go I pretty much order the same. I just wish that they don’t have too many snacks and crackers for sale like supermarket. You are not one and the profits you made on them are minimal. Make your place look appetizing and welcoming. Rearrange things and make it look cool! Then perhaps my other half would want to come and sit there with me and eat. Make me proud of your place… you already have a good product that Filipino crave for, why not up it a notch and get other ethnic to really know what a good Filipino food should taste. Btw, cut SOME of the fat and grease also, make it healthier a bit. Other than that, this place is good.

A real authentic Filipino restaurant and food to go establishment that serves homestyle cooking and comfort foods from the homeland. Fast Friendly and under $ 10 bucks!!! Come and give it a try and you will be pleased! They have good empanadas and fried pork too! I loved the jackfruit entrée and pumpkin dish and stewed ham hocks too!!! Everything here is soooooo good!!! It is located on Euclid and Cresent right by the 5 freeway and next to 99 Ranch Supermarket and Anaheim Chiropractic office too. A great place to go shopping and then get a nice massage afterwards and a good meal too. Come and enjoy good Filipino food when you are in the Anaheim area. Hope to see you soon!

So it isn’t the greatest Filipino food restaurant in Orange County, I mean I’d rather go to Manilla Grille in Buena Park(but they tend to run out of food early) or to Kainan Sa Kanto in Stanton(even though it’s super small inside). This is the closest Filipino food to the crib since they closed Pinoy Fiesta(Lincoln & Anaheim Blvd.). I ordered a 2 item combo, chicken adobo(which was actually boneless and had a shred like texture), bistek(beef steak) w/onions and did half steamed rice & half pancit. The husband had a 2 item combo, pork adobo & lechon kawali(crisp-tasty pork) w/rice. $ 6.95 for a 2 item combo. Seems about average for Filipino food spots. Portion wise, my husband gives it a thumbs down(keep in mind though, he’s Samoan and prefers gargantuan amounts of food), me on the other hand their portions work for me. The adobo’s here are fantastic! Such a joy I wished I had ordered extra. Lechon is good, pancit is good, and I gave hubby my bistek because dude, they just didn’t cut it – literally! It was like an actual 8 or 9 oz piece of steak meat that they didn’t chop into pieces like I am used to. I didn’t want to eat it like a savage so I gave it to the hubby and he dug it! I seal this with a 3 because the food gatherer/cashier guy Levi(?) needs to step up his customer service game. He was too emotionless and unresponsive. Other than that, food is great and they have a buffet of snacks and pastries to purchase as well.

I was coming from an appt in the Anaheim area and I knew this place was right off Euclid and the 5, so I said what the hell, let’s hit«Good Neighbors»(English for Kapit Bahay). The entrance is actually on a side street off Euclid behind the Red Ribbon and Chow King which face Euclid. I ordered the 3 Item combo($ 9.75) w/pancit bihon(thin rice noodles w/vegetables, chicken and shrimp), pinakbet na baboy at ipon(an Ilocano stew w/pork, shrimp, bittermelon, okra, green beans and squash and lechon kawali — pork belly(lechon) fried in a wok or deep frying pan(kawali). The pancit was ho-hum. The noodles were good and the vegetables were crunchy. However, there was not much meat or shrimp. This dish should be treated as a side and be offered as a ½ and ½ w/rice, vs being considered an entrée: 3 Stars. My late father was Ilocano(from the country vs Manila peeps who generally only speak Tagalog, the National language). He used to make a mean pinakbet. BTW, the dish derives its name from the Ilocano word pinakebbet — «shrunk» or «shriveled», which is what happens to the veggies when cooking this stew. Kapit Bahay’s version was very good in comparison to my father’s. It was loaded w/meat and shrimp and the vegetables were super fresh(especially the squash): 4 Stars. The lechon kawali was also very good. The meat was moist, the skin was super crunchy and it was a good sized portion: 4 Stars. This is a turo turo(point point) place where the food sits in warmers and you«point«at what you want. Pet peeve: Why don’t these kind of places put labels on the glass so they can market to non-Filipinos? That has always bugged me. Consequently, there were only Flips on the Tue I came for lunch watching It’s Showtime on TFC(variety show on the The Filipino Channel — lol). The server was polite and also gave me a small cup of broth from the sinigang(a sour and savory fish stew flavored w/tamarind), which was pretty good: 3 Stars. Overall rating: 3.5 Stars rounded down to 3 Stars because of the type of place it is. The food at Kapit Bahay is better than the recently reviewed Fil-Am BBQ and Manila Bay, but not as good as most places in Cerritos. I just need to get my lazy a$$ to Cerritos to get some good, sit down Flip food!
