When I’m around Los Angeles County Museum of Art and Louks is parked I always grab something to eat. Great food and it’s hard to find great Greek restaurants in LA. Perhaps one day Louks will open a brick and mortar location. I can never finish the food that I get because it is so bountiful.

Heck yes! Just saw the truck pull up and ordered the basket of feta and honey fries… these are delicious. Also had the beef and lamb gyro… to die for people! To die for!!! They super-sized the fries at no charge, like I need it though. Workers were so friendly today…

Tried Louks for the first time and order a Lamb Gyro and a Chicken Kabob. Gyro was okay, just not really to my taste I would say. I think there are many who would really like it. The Kabob, however, was excellent. Went back and got 2 more orders.

Food trucks come to Irvine Towers every Thursday. Got the gyro. definitely not worth it. Almost tasted like the meat was bad. Threw most of it away because I couldn’t get past the taste of bad meat. Not to mention I also ended up having a stomach ache later.

Wow… Right off the bat the guy in the window was so welcoming and cool… Ask for Christian. We ordered the special. I posted a photo of it… Gyros. Soooooo delicious! We also got the fries/honey feta fries. DELICIOUS!!! We also checked in on Unilocal so we got the offer for the free dessert… Sooo good! Little donuts with Nutella!!! Everything about their food was amazing and we will def go back to this truck… Thx guys!

Went when it was on my college campus. Ingredients are fresh, well cooked, and delicious. Super authentic too. The food came out quickly(I recommend the gyro) and it’s a nice portion. Nice balance of vegetables and meat with tzatiki to top everything off with a good fresh flavor. The guy that served me was super friendly as well.

Nutella Loukamades with a side of burnt… First time trying this food truck and I was not impressed. I just ordered the Nutella Loukamades and the girl in the line behind me got her food first. It was bad enough that it took forever. She ordered the Gyro and the Nutella Loukamades. I asked where my order was and he apologized. When I finally got the fried donuts it looked burnt but I thought its because it was drizzled with Nutella. When I finally took a bite, as I suspected, it was cooked too long. Next time I need to tip after I get my food not before. Disappointing to say the least. I should have listened to all the other bad Unilocal reviews.

Ordered the lamb gyro, tasted like bad hamburger meat. Overcooked and a was almost unedible. Also got the chicken kabob, decent flavor, but overcooked and tough. On top of that we had to wait almost 25 minutes and there were only a few orders ahead of us. Avoid at all costs.

«Meh, I’ve experienced better,» was pretty much the theme of my Louks experience. I ordered a gyro with the traditional gyro meat and it tasted fine. Really just fine. So-so, average, mediocre and dull are other descriptors that come to mind. None of those words are ones I like to be use after spending money. The gyro was pretty skimpy on the meat for the price. When it comes to gyro I’m normally using a pile of napkins as I lament how big and messy it is with meat and tzatziki flying out the back end. I guess my dreams have been answered by Louks. Be careful what you wish for. The pita was good though! The cucumber was a nice touch too, which a lot of places don’t do. The grand disappointment was in Louks namesake, the loukoumades. When I received the famed Greek treat I thought that they accidentally stopped by Dunkin Donuts and served me a couple of chocolate doughnut holes instead. After taking bite, I was discovered that balls weren’t chocolate but just burnt to a dark brown crisp. What a relief. Yiayia would not approve.

Though we had already eaten dinner earlier in the evening, I picked up a few snacks from this truck while my husband and I were drinking at The Bruery. Beer always tastes better with food for me. The Nutella loukamades were deep-fried, chocolately excellence — not too crispy, not too heavy, very reminiscent of a bite-sized beignet. The honey feta fries were good and had a nice interplay between the sweetness of the honey and the savory of the cheese and potatoes, but next time I will ask them to go light on the honey as it was a bit much, especially towards the end when the fries were just soaked in it. I was overall pleased with the food and would like to try some of their entrees in the future.

I ordered the chicken gyro and Nutella Loukoumades. The chicken gyro had some nice fresh veggies, however, other then that it wasn’t a stellar gyro as I was expecting for $ 7. =\ The Nutella loukoumades were good. They were a little bigger then a donut hole and they tasted like a thick donut with Nutella and honey on top.

Family visited the food trucks at the local high school this evening. I love greek food — but this was a disappointment. Order a Gyro. It came with 2 slices of Gyro meat– sliced paper thin and completely burnt. Ordered the Honey Feta Fries that everyone has raved about. The fries were completely soggy with very little Feta. I also ordered the Loukoumades. They were also burnt and very very dry. When they served them to me the guy said«they came out bigger then normal but will taste good” — well they didn’t. I am not sure if the guy cooking was new or knew what he was doing. Everyone in line behind me tried ordering the Loukoumades as well but they said they ran out. The truck had just gotten there so not sure how they ran out. I really really wanted to love the food. The wait was long for the food after you ordered. The gyro was such a disappointment– Paper thin, 2 pieces and burnt like no other. Even the pita was thin and burnt. So the theme was BURNT for the evening. I hope they take the criticism and make improvements. It would be nice to see what they are capable of. The kid at the window seemed to be frazzled and they seemed to not be prepared for the 3 hours they were there. I hope it was just a bad day for them.

So there’s a few Unilocal pictures of the Nutella Loukamades and it’s like a plentiful amount of these deep fried dough balls topped with Nutella. Yeah, it is NOT true to actual order, or at least the most recent order. I got some the other day and it’s $ 5 for 5 little balls of dough that were slightly burnt. I mean, it is good/okay, but not worth $ 1 each. Thanks, but no thanks…

Worst Greek Food I’ve ever had. This may sound brutal but it’s my honest opinion. I’m a big lover of Greek food and try to eat it every chance I get. This truck was parked inside of Chapman University and I thought I’d give it a shot. To give you some context, I have had Greek food in many different places my whole entire life and I would say it is one of my favorite culinary cultures. I ordered the lamb gyro. First of all, the meat was a pulverized, burned, and tasteless. The pita was stale and not fresh at all. The greens that came on top were completely unrelated to traditional Greek foods. And the tzatziki… I lovvvvvveeeeee tzatziki. So I was excited when they have me a heaping pile. But the tzatziki was just plain Greek yogurt. No herbs. No spices. I’m disappointed to say the least. I’ll avoid this truck at all cost. It seems as though it is not run by legitimate Greek people.

Likes: $ 10 special(taped to the middle of the truck & easy to miss)… $ 10 gets you a combo of any gyro, fries, & louk… great deal! Gyro — had the beef/lamb… was ok, but I wish they had a spit on the inside of the truck cuz that would make a HUGE difference! there wasn’t any crispy edges on the meat… too bad… they can try to fry it up or something for some crisp? feta fries — was ok. peanut butter & nutella louks — looked sooo greasy like see-through greasy and i fully expected oil to squish out of it as I bit into it but it didn’t. Definitely an item to share w/a group and not polish off by yourself! —– I heard mention that their chicken gyro is good, and their feta & honey fries were good as well. Maybe I’ll try those next time?

I heard so much about this infamous greek cuisine food truck. Everything on the menu sounded fantastic. Honey Feta Fries Gyros Burrito Gyros Salads They pretty much cover everything… and I wanted to try everything. However, this is always my dilemma, so much food to try and just one Lily tummy to stick it in. I ended up getting the Honey Feta Fries and Sausage gyro. I actually liked the HFF, they were sweet and salty and feta cheesy. However, if you didn’t eat them right away, the saturated honey fries became way too sweet. The feta cheese was way too bulky, I wish they broke it up a bit more, instead leaving super big chunks. Also the sausage gyro… what a disappointment. It was just an average tasting sausage and fries wrapped in a pita. Literally. I wasn’t kiddin’. I would definitely skip out on the sausage gyro! Plus this was my lunch hour and they took forever to open up their truck! All the other trucks were open, except for Louks. No bueno. With all the food truck craze and so many to chose from, I can be snobby about it, and say… I’ll try a different truck.
