I don’t mind when food trucks rip each others ideas off, but give me food at least as good or at a better value, something. Mexi Calbi gave me nothing but overpriced mediocre food. I had a beef and«spicy» pork taco, $ 8 for the two. They were a decent size. Sauce was good, had some lime tang. But the meats were chopped too fine and overcooked. Spicy pork was braised, but chopped so fine. Overcooked and mushy made me think canned dog food. Mind you, it was the odd texture not the taste. While it had flavor, it had no heat. I guess the extra cup of hot sauce is for that. They were also served warm, not hot, and tortillas were cold. Service was friendly and fast due to lack of customers. But the food was a let down. I just expect better flavors at these prices. I want my $ 8 back.

This truck visited my complex in Costa Mesa yesterday. It wasn’t worth it. Not the stomach issues it gave my family, the price, or the flavors. The short rib burritos were dry, bland, and the meat was more flavorless than you’d expect from a food truck. Nothing reminiscent of Korean flavors at all. The meat and egg was dry, as well as was the kimchi/slaw or whatever they put in there. I mean, come on guys, toss that stuff in something and give it some flavor! The kids quesadilla was ok, but my kid didn’t like the sauce(and he eats almost anything) and for the $ it wasn’t worth it at all. My wife and I also tried the(2) spicy pork tacos, which were pretty good. Again, for $ 8 though with no sides, I wouldn’t get ‘em again. Overall, we won’t return, especially seeing as how this place made us sick. $ 39 for 2 adults and a 7 year old to eat is way too much when you’re serving food as bland as this. We’re bummed out and want our money back so we can go buy some pepto. Would have given it 2 stars, but this place literally made us sick. **Update: I just did the math according to the prices on the menu on their site, and we were definitely overcharged by $ 4 – 5. Guess I’ll add that onto the list of reasons we’ll never go back.

This is simply a Kogi copycat, and not a very good one at that. Way overpriced! For the same $ 8 for two tacos, I could have strolled down the street to a brick and mortar place that still has to pay rent and gotten 4, much better Mexican street tacos. Price aside, I ordered both the spicy pork and the short rip(Kalbi) tacos. The Kalbi was overcooked and cut up into hard little pieces. The flavor was a little lacking. I just expected some of that great Korean kalbi flavor, which it did not have. The pork was nothing to write home about either. If it weren’t for the side of hot sauce I asked for, and the $ 16 I was out of pocket, I might have tossed them all. For almost the same money as 4 of these tacos, you could hit up an all you can eat Korean BBQ. That’s what I’m talking about.

The staff was pretty nice but the taste was off. I had: Short rib burrito: overly sweet for a korean burrito. Missing kimchi. egg was overcooked Quesedilla: good, nothing special. i noticed on Unilocal that there was a ginger sauce. i was not offered this Guacamole and chips: good but i suspect the avocado is not real. tasted store bought. 2 star rating based on value. the flavors were not too offensive; the price was. the burrito was priced at $ 8, a reasonable price for this burrito, considering quality/taste and cost, should be $ 4.50.

I don’t normally like Asian fusion places but I’m a sucker for trying anything Mexican Korean fusion and this place did not meet my expectations. First, the service was horrible. The food took so long and people who were behind me in line were getting their food first. Second, the spicy pork and short rib tacos were dry. I expected it to be more moist and not as tough. Third, definitely not worth the price. If you want to try a Mexican Korean fusion place with better prices I recommend going to Urban Seoul in Irvine.

Very average food truck and extremely slow service. I appreciate the fusion attempt but this is no Kalbi.

I ordered beef short rib tacos from their truck… They were very tasty. However, the meat & tortilla were cold. If they had been warm they would have been perfectly delicious!

Pretty good experience! They were parked right in front of The Bruery in Placentia, and my bf and I decided to grab a bite to eat while having beer. They let us sample the meat before we ordered to help us decide what we wanted – very nice! They recommended the quesadillas and burritos, but we weren’t feeling those dishes at the moment. In the end, we got 2 tacos(spicy pork +short rib) and a loaded fries(short rib), which came out to be $ 12.50. The loaded fries weren’t particularly impressive. It had meat and cheese on top, and they gave us ketchup and Sriracha on the side. I did like how the fries were super fresh though! Hot and crisp, just the way I like it. The tacos were okay-good. I wish there was more of a complex flavor in it. I consider it to be on the«cleaner» side of tacos. I got to try the short rib quesadilla from a friend, and I throughly enjoyed that. Next time, I will definitely get that instead(like what they recommended in the beginning haha).

I lost a day of life waiting for the food. The food was mediocre and hope they do not return.

This taco truck was at Chapman University for the opening of the Musco Center. I waited 45 minutes from the time I got in line to order until they called my name, to get two sad looking Tacos that tasted like they’d been waiting as long as I had for me to eat them. Luke warm. Very little meat. Very little of anything, including taste. Mediocre. Bland. They have a sign prominently posted saying to «Ask for help, before you Unilocal» that promised some resolution to grievances. Too late for that. What could they have done? I’ll never get my wasted time back. And I surely never want to eat their food again.

Beef short ribs loaded fries: the fries were crispy but very salty Tostada salad(without the crispy noodles and deep fried tostada bowl): chicken was marinated quite despite being a bit dry. The guac tasted weird… were they using half-rotten avocado?

Food trucks are great! I was pleasantly surprised with this truck. I am pretty observant, but I definitely didn’t notice the«Asian-Mexican» infusion part. But that was definitely the best part! I ended up ordering the breakfast burrito with beef. The beef was super juicy and had a sweet flavor. There were also eggs, cabbage, hash browns, sauce, and additional hot sauce to add a lil spice. My only recommendation would be to add a bigger or brighter Asian/Korean & Mexican infusion sign. A few customers around us were s little, I guess confused, by the cabbage and sweeter spices. I, however, was completely satisfied.

Incredibly rude service. I had a $ 10 voucher and they refused to let me get a burrito(costs $ 8 – 9). Insisted that I could only get 2 tacos(~$ 6 – 8) and a drink, even though I explained to them multiple times that I did not want a drink. To add insult to injury they served the person who ordered after me even though we both bought tacos(she bought chicken, I bought the beef). The tacos tasted good, but the portion was quite small. Would not come back even if I had a free voucher.

Yum! I ordered the spicy pork tacos. Two tacos for $ 7 which is reasonable. I thought they were very tasty! They had great flavor and the right amount of spice. I would order these again!

Food *** Price ** Service *** Got the beef short rib tacos. They were okay but definitely overpriced. Portion was small. Probably will not come back due to the long wait time.

This is a review of their catering. So I thought long and hard about leaving a review and after a while, I definitely felt I had to. My husband and I hired them to cater our wedding a few months ago. Definitely the worst mistake we could have made. 1. They upped the price of our quote a month before our wedding. We had booked them and sent in a deposit 4 months prior. They claimed it was because they didn’t realize where our wedding was to begin with so had to make up for the gas somehow(shows you how much research they do before sending out a quote and signing a contract). That should have been red flag #1. 2. I had thought that we had asked for a buffet rather than the food truck. My husband and I pull up to the reception and the food truck is there(because how else are they supposed to cook?), but no tables/buffet equipment. Weird, but I figured there was something lost in a long string of emails. 3. Now this is the most baffling part. We had ordered food for 115 people. They only had enough food to maybe satisfy 90. MAYBE. From what I’ve heard from family and friends, the servers/cooks were incredibly stingy with both food and drinks. The most people could get were two tacos, and that didn’t satisfy anyone. The portions were incredibly small. Some people weren’t even able to eat because the truck ran out of food, including my mother! There were 115 people there and they ran out of food. WHATDID I PAYFOR? I should have known something was up when the owner didn’t answer my emails when I asked if there would be enough food for my guests(most of the catering companies/food trucks I’ve worked with make extra food regardless of the head count). Overall, I would avoid them. They have horrible customer service and the food is ok at best.

Pros: Vegan option Decent taste Cons: High prices Small portions Slow service Not enough tofu Not enough diversity of fruits and vegetables They don’t have bags or boxes to store leftovers in Who mixes oranges and soy sauce? I only come here when I come to the Great Park and am hungry but don’t have other options with a vegan menu item. I wouldn’t come here just out of the blue on my own.

Yum! Interesting combination of Mexican and Korean flavors and I was really impressed. I got two tacos(one beef, one pork), and the man got a quesadilla with pork. We got both spicy and it was a delightful spicy burn that wasn’t too overpowering. We will definitely try it again when we see the truck!

Spicy Pork Burrito $ 7. Service was very fast. She told me that I should order it if I’m REALLY hungry. It wasn’t what I could have considered lots of food — could have eaten 3 of them. Flavors were great though. Also at my table was a friend who had tried the shrimp tacos & she told me they were smelled overly fishy & tasted that way too. It is always good to ask the business what is good for the day — I was told Spicy Pork — she must not have asked… Tacos were small street tacos too. Anyway, would love to try something more — maybe I can bump them up a star…
