The pizza here is BOMB! I came here for lunch and enjoyed 2 pep slices and a drink for like $ 6 bucks and the taste is VERY good! I was quite surprised. They load the toppings on the pizzas. There is only like 3 tables inside so kinda small but incredible price for great pizzas they made here!

I have to say they have a very great pizza special and its dirt cheap. There pizza is so good and the pasta and salad everything is so delicious. The woman at the cash register has worked here since I was a child. Very nice friendly lady

We were searching Unilocal one evening for a pizza and this place came up in our hunt. I had no idea this place was even here. Living right down the street, I was a little embarrassed but it doesn’t stand out much. We decided to give it a shot and we were so very impressed! There is not much room to eat there. Pizza review only: The pizza is wonderful. We come here all the time. The dough is delicious, all of the ingredients taste so fresh, and the service is pretty good. The prices are okay as well. I’d highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good pizza.

Eh. This is a VERY average, at best, meatball sandwich. If, as some of the pictures claim, this is the best meatball sub they’ve ever had, I feel sorry for them. Nothing more to say here. I won’t be back. I’m giving two stars because my expectations for the food were high, but no dice.

Aqui compre la chicken club pizza y la puedo recomendar. Los ingredientes saben frescos y el tiempo de espera es promedio. Mejor opción que las franquicias populares donde tienen todo congelado.

This review is for pizza delivery. I ordered a pizza at 11:50am and it wasn’t delivered until 1:10pm, when I was quoted 30 – 40 minutes for delivery. When I called to check in on my order after 1 hour, the gentleman told me that there was a larger order placed so mine got pushed back. They never called to tell me there was going to be a delay… Other than this customer service mistake and the fact that the driver lied to me telling me that the peppers were in the pizza box, the pizza is pretty delicious.

Having living near this place all my life i finally decided to give it a try one afternoon. Ill admit, the prices were kinda up there knowing that i can get a pizza from Costco right down the street for $ 10(that’s about the same price of a small chicken club pizza here), but end the end i was very glad to have tried out this place. this pizza is probably some of the freshest pizza I’ve ever had; not too greasy, and amazing ingredients. I recommend this place over any other chain in the area.

4.5 stars on Unilocal and I had to try it… Wow. Somebody owes me $ 20. I hate writing bad reviews but this pizza was WAY below average. Got one of their specialty large pizzas and actually threw away all but the two slices I ate. I ate two slices hoping it would get better but no dice. None of the toppings were high quality and the crust was similar to what you get in the frozen food section. Sorry but a few people on Unilocal do not know good(or even edible) pizza.

I wanted pizza after seeing pizza on t.v., I know, I’m easily persuaded haha. I didn’t want a whole pizza to myself… LIES…so I looked up the nearest place that sells pizza by the slice and I ended up at this establishment. It’s definitely not for groups, it’s hardly a dine-in place with only 3 tables that are uncomfortably close together, so I’d say get it to go or for delivery. I think the pizza was good, but I also don’t think it was great. I can’t even say that it was very good pizza, but it was good. A lot off cheese, the crust was chewy and just the right amount of hard outside to fluffy inside ratio. I liked the pepperoni, but I also got a slice of mushroom but the mushrooms were hardly cooked so I didn’t really like that one. The red pepper flakes were actually hot at least haha. I was disappointed that the slices were pretty small for them being pizza by the slice, 2 slices fit inside of a small to-go box that was only almost the size of a dinner plate :-\ Pizza by the slice are usually big, foldable slices. If you want your money’s worth you’re probably better off getting a small 10″ for $ 1.20 more, because 2 small slices were $ 4.80. It’s a pretty good place, I want to try the pastas, if they’re good I’ll give them a bump up in star power haha, but this initial experience merits a 3.5.

So I normally wouldn’t do this and come up off of 5 stars so easily for a place that doesn’t check off many of the boxes that you’re looking to check off when you’re evaluating a spot. But I’m willing to overlook all that peripheral stuff(décor, ambiance, style, amenities, etc) and squarely focus on just the food with this small family run eatery because what I ordered was just that good! I like trying new eateries and restaurants especially when I have time and to try and take advantage that I’m all over the place in any given week here in LA. I mean who hasn’t been to a Subway or other fast food place a million times right? So when I see a choice between the two right next to each other 9 times out of 10 I’m going to try the new spot that I haven’t eaten at before. This is how you discover hidden little gems people!(Lil Unilocal advice and knowledge right there ya’ll) Anyways… went in here knowing I wanted a sandwich and not a pizza(after having this sandwich their pizza is probably the bomb and I will have to order one to go next time I’m ever in this side of town again… lol) because I wanted something quick for lunch. I love pastrami and the word ‘Subs’ is in their name so I was lured in by that and excited to try them out! So originally having my mind and stomach fixated on the pastrami and then being told that they were out I was going to go to good ol faithful… the turkey club. However, I thought bor-RRING and the nice woman at the counter must of read my mind and recommended my 3rd choice… the meatball sandwich! And I am so thankful that she did because OH… MY…GAHD! It was amazing! The bread, the oozing cheese, the sauce and the meatballs… all just perfectly coming together! Each bite was better than the last and you want to just dive right into even as it’s streaming hot still from the kitchen. And granted the place isn’t big and not really setup for indoor dining but trust me… if you have to eat there rather than at home it’s worth it and I’m glad I did!

I have had this place bookmarked for some time but never had the chance to come with the husband(he is a pizza junkie). One Saturday afternoon, we were finally in the area running some errands and I chose this over his suggested place, Wendy’s. The store is small and located in a medium sized plaza. The outside and inside décor really does not seem very appealing but the smell of freshly baked pizza’s made it all worth while. The lady who was at the register was busy take telephone orders so there was a brief wait. I got the three topping jalapeño, mushroom and pepperoni medium. My husband got double pepperoni small and we ordered a side garlic cheesy bread. one small coke and one small water. $ 25.07 We waited 20 minutes prior to our food being ready. When the kind lady brought it to our table, I was just in «ahhh…yummy» state of mind. The aroma was so pleasant and the toppings nicely filled the pizza. The cheese was stringy and sauce was delicious. Not overly salty and bland. The crust was unique and nicely baked. My husband also was a fan of their pizza and he is a picky on. The lady completely forgot out garlic cheesy bread so we ended up take half to go. The cheese on the garlic bread was VERY thick and way too heavy for my liking. I was a bit disappointed since the price of cheesy bread was almost double of the regular garlic bread. In the end, we just peeled off the cheese and ate the bread by itself. very delicious. I am definitely a fan and I would greatly encourage you to go try this place out. **Pro: Free refills :) **Con: not a lot of tables to sit at. not group friendly.

I think we found our new pizza place! Lui’s isn’t super far from my house, but too far for delivery, so my man picked some up last night. He said the drive was quick enough that he wouldn’t mind going back again. Called the order in around 6PM, quoted 20 — 30 minutes, not bad for a Saturday night! We ordered a mini Chicken Club, a medium Pepperoni, and Garlic Cheese Bread. The total was only $ 21 and we had leftovers. Super cheap! Especially for how good it was. LOVED the pepperoni. Great sauce, dough, and plenty of toppings. The Chicken Club was good, but I think I would get pepperoni over it in the future. Loved the garlic cheese bread! Super cheesy, buttery, and garlicky. Kind of weird that it was on a roll with sesame seeds, but it totally worked! I guess my only negative would be the crust, it had great texture and chew, but I thought it could have used more flavor. Not a deal breaker though! We’ll be calling in an order again for sure!

The 4.5 overall rating is right on the money! Finally a pizza my wife and I can agree on! I’m a fan of several places — she’s a fan of others — we often order my pizza at one one place and hers from another. Lui’s is a HITW, a couple little tables, I’d recommend ordering«to go» or delivery. Enjoyed their take out 3 times, twice when I went in; once when Roy B brought over some pizza and wings. Service on the phone was no problem. As a small family place their front counter service can vary a bit — not super polished, and some of them could use a little work with greeting customers as soon as they walk in. Not really a big deal overall, especially because beyond that everything was very nice. When I called I found out that I’m not in their delivery area, but when I picked up the order they were very appreciative of me making the trip across town to pick up. In addition, I was recognized and thanked for coming back on my second visit. As others mentioned — 5 stars for the Chicken Club pizza. No question, give it a try. 4 — 4.5 for the other pies I’ve tried — Pepperoni, sausage and fresh tomato n garlic, and a pepperoni, pineapple and jalapeño. Their pizza’s are loaded with toppings! Garlic Cheese stick bread is good — 4 stars. Meatballs and chicken wings are standard 3 star offerings. Pretty generic. I have not tried any of their sandwiches. Pretty sure I’ll only be ordering pizza when I visit Lui’s. What would it take for 5 stars? I would love them to step up their appetizer/sides to the level of 2 Saucy Broads, because the pizza is already there! While it’s not a place you should drive across the County for, if you’re in the area I highly recommend calling in to pick up a couple of pizzas — and be sure one of them is the Chicken Club!

One way that I judge a pizza is on how much cheese is seen between toppings unless the cheese is baked over the toppings of course. No one likes paying extra per extra topping and getting shorted. I don’t like it, you don’t like it and your mama doesn’t like it but we’ve all been there before. I ordered over the phone for delivery. They picked up within a reasonable amount of time. They did have to place me on hold of which I have read on previous reviews for here. For me, it’s not a big deal. I understand that it happens. It also shows me that people are calling in for food which is a sign of great food. And let’s be honest. The only time being placed on hold is bothersome is when WE, and I emphasize WE, is when WE are in a hurry or late… which is not their problem. Just like when driving. Traffic is traffic unless we are late for something such as work, then it’s middle fingers and yelling at ever driver even though we know they can’t hear us and even though it’s usually our own fault why we are running late. Anyways… When connected back to place my order they did let me know that they had specials and they did not talk in a rudely rushed tone due to the heavy rush of orders. The delivery man called when out front and he was there right at the given estimated time of arrival. Perfect. Box hot is a great sign. No grease leakage on the bottom. Aroma from box was fresh and now it’s time to eat. Fresh, fresh fresh. Topping galore. The combo pizza was an actual combo pizza. Not a cheese pizza with fallings on it. This pizza was one of the best pizzas that I have had in a really long time. Two thumbs up. I must keep trying different spots for pizzas but damn it… I will always fit in an order here.

Located in a janky strip mall on Harbor Blvd. just off the 91 freeway, this tiny pizza joint serves up some excellent pizza. My optometrist used to have her office two doors down from this place. For years I would glance at Lui’s and not give a second thought to eating there. About the time my optometrist moved to a new location I started seeing good Unilocal reviews for Lui’s pizza. It’s not too far from my work so I finally made a point to come here for lunch. This is really just a takeout place. There are four tables crammed inside but it would be uncomfortable to eat here; space is tight and there is no restroom. When I arrived at 11:30am the phone was ringing off the hook and there were 4 other people waiting for their orders. I had to move through the cramped space occupied by those customers to the counter, swaying around them as if I were doing the lambada. I placed my order for a small pepperoni, sausage and olive pizza with the pleasant woman at the register. I gotta point out that for a single person they make a mini pizza which would be plenty. But I wanted a small so I could eat half for lunch and then the rest for dinner… but I ended up eating most of it for lunch. Okay, fine, I admit I ate the whole thing for lunch. They told me it would take 15 minutes and it was boxed and ready in exactly 15 minutes. I took it to work and it was still hot. Of course it was a little greasy(pepperoni and sausage!) but not so greasy that you have to take a napkin to sop the grease off the top. Their pizza is not so greasy that it soaks through the bottom of the box like most delivery pizzas do. The ingredients were plentiful — they don’t skimp. The sausage was just a little spicy and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The crust had a nice crunch on the edges and held the ingredients on solidly, never going limp. They make a superb pizza at a great price at Lui’s.
