Not a big fan of the food and that they were doing construction when I came. The hookah seemed to be ok but hopefully give it another try when everything is finished and come when its not a busy night.

I came here last night with some of my local friends and overall I was impressed with how tight the employees are with the customers. Perhaps it’s a cultural thing as the community is a highly Middle Eastern area. The food was great, the tea was very refreshing, the hookah was relaxing. I learned some words in Arabic which was fun! I will defiantly return. They were remodeling so it was hard to find without a sign but I’m excited to return once it’s done!

Nara is definitely a unique hookah bar/lounge restaurant all in one. The shish tawook is delicious, and the banana and mango smoothie are spectacular. The service is not bad, nice guys; you kind of just chill. The soda is a bit over priced, $ 3.50– $ 4 for a can of Vimto is pretty steep. The chicken dish wasn’t too over priced. They are pretty reasonable if your smoking hookah you can bring your own sodas In from next door to avoid the premium charge.

This place is BS, me and my homies came here a couple days ago and we couldn’t find the clerk. After 15 minutes of sitting down waiting for a hookah, he disappears for another 40 minutes. He finally comes back and we try and ask for another flavor and he’s gone for another 40 minutes, so we left the cash on the table and left. Horrible.

One star for the service because there was absolutely NO customer service and Five star to the guys that made our shisha. They need to focus on customer service as much as they are focusing on the renovations. And the bouncer or whatever he is has the most annoying and arrogant attitude. Advice to the bouncer in suit Tone it down a notch buddy.

The hookah is very good, and the hookah guy is a great man(i think his name is kavaly, filipino guy). BUT the food is bad, really bad, there wasn’t any taste in it I think it was frozen or something The serves not that good(except the hookah) And it takes a loooong loooong time to get a cup of tea !! FYI, there wasn’t any customers but me that time :)

Friendly staff and very attentive. Been to many hookah lounges and this place is the best. The charcoal are perfectly packed and charcoals are refilled often to ensure true smoking pleasure. Hookah tastes so great and hits amazimg. Their food here is very good too and very relaxing with some hot tea with mint. Staff here makes it easy for you to come back over and over again. Truly a gem in Anaheim.

My friend recommended we meet here on a random Tuesday to partake in some hookah action. The staff was very attentive to changing our coals, the atmosphere felt like I was in Egypt again and the food was very good. Our hookah lasted us for literally five hours. We never felt rushed and leisurely enjoyed the evening. Check it out!

I can’t deny the fact that their hookah is good and their food is good as well. However, they force their customers on a Friday night to order their hookah on a fruit head and they don’t make it on a regular head. Also, their restrooms are so dirty and smell awful! Another thing to add is their music is very very loud as a result of that ppl sit outside on crabby chairs.

I actually used to work at this lounge last year! The service as a guest is a lot better then the way I was treated as a worker. Hookah is packed very well, music is extremely lively on the weekends. It gets super busy too! Open very late hours, and their dessert is to die for! The cooks really put effort into their work here. Incredible food, and lots of vegitarian options, while meat lovers galore too! Smoothies as SOYUMMY too

We came here the other night for the first time and I actually just loved it. The DJ played some good music, both Arabic and hip hop. The food was excellent. I have hummus with chicken Shwarma, which had so much flavor and left me thinking about the next time I was going to come. My sister had the falafel and that was really tasty as well. The hookah was very good. We tried mango and pineapple and it was good. Employees are very attentive and are always checking on your hookah. I live in Arizona and wish they had that place out here. Can’t wait to go back

It’s the best place to chill with amazing staff and owner. If you try it one time you won’t change it with other places ooh let me add, their hookah is the best hookah I’ve ever tired. Our Nara has an amazing Dj all nights that you can enjoy your favs music as well. But my fav part is weekends afternoon when I go there to eat their delicious plates and relax. I remember I went there for World Cup and they showed all games we relaxed, enjoyed and smoked. Believe me, try it and you will be their loyal customers it doesn’t matter week days weekends, days or nights…

Despite the fact that I don’t frequent southern california as often as I would love, I recently visited the happiest yet most expensive place on earth, disneyland with the family. After a crazy day of spending my entire life savings for a churro at disneyland, I found myself have a deep urge to smoke hookah. the next exit down from ball rd is the little arab influenced community of brookhurst where you can find a litter of shops and of course hookah, however, the hookah lounges here don’t open until 6 and it being 4 pm I was pretty much out of luck until I found Al-Nara Bistro. I called ahead to confirm they were actually open where I was greeted by Tarik, the owner who claimed to have the best hookah in town and even guaranteed me a refund if I found him to be wrong. I took up his challenge and I can tell you the 5 stars on this Unilocal were well deserved. I didn’t get a chance to eat the food because I was trying to make the most of my million dollar disney churro I had eaten the day before, but the hookah was smooth and flavorful. They use lemon tree wood coals and apples as their bowls. The staff were very friendly and for a 4 pm ambiance it was chill. Tarik, thank you for the challenge… you won yourself my continual business when I come to So. Cal.

— Locale Destination — It’s on Brookhurst St and W Ball Rd in Anaheim. It’s located at the corner in a small shopping plaza. Inside looked more like a «hookah» bar than«restaurant», though the food menu was extensive. Décor is red/pinkish, not so great — very«hookah bar» like, sofa instead of proper tables for«restaurant». Overall it’s very outdated, dingy and«hookah bar» look. I guess the hookah bar section is separated a little bit from the food only customers?! — I don’t know. Very slow service with expensive so so food and drinks. I highly suggest not to go there when you are really hungry. Plenty of parking. — Gluttony Expedition — 3 meat combo: Chicken was tender yet lacked in flavor. Steak was overcooked. Ground beef one was OK. They put some sort of plum paste on pita — I didn’t like it at all. French fries/rice, bland hummus, and green salad on the side — $ 15. French fries were good. Overall meh despite of the long waiting. $ 6 for smoothie. Drink price is way overpriced. I guess that’s how hookah place makes $$$ pretending like some sort of «club»!!! — Conqueror’s Deduction — I get that you try to offer many things on top of «hookah». It’s just weird. The name«Bistro» more likely applies to «restaurant», not so much of «hookah bar» in general, don’t you think? More precise description here is a «hookah bar» offers foods as well. Consequently the half ass concentration on food really shows. The long wait for food doesn’t worth the price nor the taste. I don’t come back here for food for sure, though I’m not even a fan of «hookah» ;p
