One of the best places for street tacos. The employees are friendly and there is outdoor seating. The asada and carnitas tacos are absolutely to die for! There’s also a salsa bar with lines, radishes, and other toppings. Free refills too. We can’t get enough of this place.

Nice & Clean! Burrito had meat not like other taco shops. Like that they have free refills on all drinks even the mexican drinks like horchata, tamarindo & jamaica.

Came here on a Friday after drinking. This hits the spot. There are not too many meat choices though. Food came out quick. Not bad of a late night spot. Plenty of parking in the back and nice out door sitting.

I have been here a few times now, all of them at night and there is never a line. First off, they accept credit cards, which is not common at an establishment like this. Secondly, they offer free beans in a large pot next to the salsa bar and condiments and utensils. There is technically no indoor seating, but the outdoor seating is completely covered and walled in with heaters and plastic picnic tables. My favorites here are the asada and pastor tacos. The asada here is amazing and the tacos do come with just the meat and tortilla, so please grab all your condiments before leaving if you are getting your order to-go. Parking is easy and it is right off the freeway, so you have no excuse not to give this place a try!

The tacos were pretty good especially for the price. But the beans were worse than store bought beans but I guess for being free you can’t really complain.

I ordered a carne Asada burrito with cheese. The carne Asada I wanted to like it so much but it wasn’t very hot, and parts of it reminded me of beef jerky. Overall I really didn’t care for the burrito I don’t know if the Asada had been sitting out or what. But I ordered this at 11 am so I would have assumed it would have just freshly been made? Kind of trivial but the doctor pepper was out on the coke machine too, but it’s possible they might not carry it, but it was an option on the coke machine. Hopefully they were just having an off morning because I see lots of other glowing reviews. I guess time will tell.

Mexican tortas do not have American cheese! This torta I got had American cheese. Wtf?! That’s disgusting. Free complaining to the guy, the guy had nothing to say after that.

I stopped by yesterday after work because of the reviews and it is on my way home. First of, I understand what the reviews meant by the up keeping. That is important because like it or not we all do judge a place by how it looks. Its not that kept up: from the outside to the dinner area(which is outside with a ceiling over it) when I got there, it was empty with soda spilled on the floor. It had dried up so it was just there, I walked in order 3 tacos: carne asada and all pastor. The tacos were done quickly and had an overflow of meat on them, which is always good. The tacos were good, they tasted like tacos you make at home. The beans that are on the serving table are pinto beans, they were already out when I was there so I didn’t get to taste them. Going back to the tacos, the meat was different than any other taco place I’ve been to: just when you make tacos at home with the meat you buy that’s how my tacos looked, very taste and looked very homemade. I did put the green salsa on my tacos and I do not usually get salsa because I don’t like the texture. This salsa was really good. I am def stopping by when I’m on my way home craving a taco. BTW taco was $ 1.50

No, no, no… JUSTNO! I don’t know where to start… I ordered Asada taco, which was dry and fatty, tripa taco that smelled really bad and that was deep fried!!! And carnitas that was over cooked and greasy and smelled as well. The only thing good here were the beans. Stay away if ur a taco lover… Don’t let the other reviews fool you.

Definitely satisfies the taco craving after a long day of Disneyland! I waited in the car while my husband ordered and he had nothing but great things to say about the service. I got the naked asada tacos and added my own toppings on the side. Don’t forget to get the grilled jalapeño. It’s amazing!

You like street tacos??? So typical street taco place with some added sides. The tacos come out naked, as you can put on as much toppings as you like. They have red, green and an avocado sauce. Also they have beans you can add. They do have one of those Coca-cola soda machines that you can add any flavor and have different drinks. Too bad it looks like the upkeep isn’t done on it as a lot of flavors were out.

My favorite and easily, I believe, one of the best taco joints in Anaheim. Highlighted by some of the tastiest carne asada you will sync your teeth into and noticeably friendly service. The asada is tender, juicy and delicious. It has a wonderful, smoky, charbroiled flavor that few places can match. The tripa might be a close runner-up. Ask to have them fried extra crispy for a taste and crunch that will rival the famous tripas from Rigobertos Taqueria in Santa Ana. Carnes include asada(beef steak), pollo(chicken), pastor(marinated pork), carnitas(shredded pork), lengua(beef tongue), tripa(cow gut), cabeza(cow head), chorizo(Mexican sausage) and buche(throat). There is not a bad meat choice. All are juicy, well seasoned and full of savory flavor. Tacos are $ 1.50 each. With tripa and lengua, they are $ 1.75. Menu list also includes burritos, tortas, sopes, mulitas, tamales, quesadilla, nachos, burgers, asada fries, desserts(e.g., cake and flan), Mexican popiscles and drinks. There is a breakfast burrito and coffee special for $ 6 and menudo, $ 7, is served on weekends. There is a free pot full of warm frijoles beans next to the salsa bar. The salsa bar includes diced onions, sliced red radish, chopped cilantro, pureed guacamole, salsa roja(red sauce), salsa verde(green sauce) and juicy, very squeezable lime halves. Grab one of their flyers and bring it with you next time for a small drink with a purchase of $ 10. The outdoor dining area is covered under a huge 30×20 ft party tent, along with two large portable patio heaters, to protect and shelter guests from the rain and cold. There are enough benches and tables to seat up to 60 people. It is also well lit at night.(There are additional tables and benches outside the tent on both sides of the restaurant. Most table set can seat four.) Orders are placed and picked up at the counter. Service is efficient and friendly. Guests are greeted warmly. The salsa bar is continually replenished and the dining area is clean and well kept. There is even a sign with their motto: the customer is the most important person for our business. I was impressed to see the sign right in front of the counter and that they value the service they provide their customers so much. Juan, who works the counter during the evening shift, is exceptionally kind and friendly. My recommendations have to be their mulitas — which is a sort of mini quesadilla filled with melted jack cheese and your choice of meats, the crispy and savory tripa and just about anything with their asada, which is out-of-this-world delicious. The asada alone puts them on my short list of favorite taquerias in Orange County and I think I have tried some of the finest. TIP: generously layer spoonfuls of guacamole over the mulitas, add guacamole, beans and onions with the tacos and burritos, and ask for a complimentary grilled jalapeño pepper and onion half with your dish. Only two miles northeast of Disneyland. You can step outside at 9:30pm to watch the fireworks show from the iconic theme park, some of the nice perks of dining here. This is a great choice for all night owls as well. The taqueria does not close until 2am during the week and 3am on Fridays and Saturdays. There is a Taco Tuesday special for all students, 3pm-5pm. Just show your student ID and all tacos are $ 1 each on Tuesdays between that time. HOURS: M-Th: 10am-2am Fri: 10am-3am Sat: 9am-3am Sun: 9am-2am

Late night taco cravings and Unilocal led us to Tacos El Gallito in our old Anaheim Hood. Hubby and I both ordered tacos de pastor. The meat was a solid meh on the flavor scale. Basically this al pastor won’t change your life. We would probably come back if we were in the area because the service was nice, the patio was clean, and the music was on point. They have free beans next to the salsa bar, free refills on agua frescas, and one of those fancy coke machines where you can customize your soda with a shot of flavoring syrup. The salsa verde was the highlight of the meal for me while hubby like being able to put on his own toppings, tacos are a decent size for the price. All in all it’s worth a try if you’re in the area and you want some basic fast Mexican.

Boy what a let down. I ordered asada fries, buche taco, sope al pastor, and torta carnitas. The only thing worth eating was the sope al pastor, the bread was thick and crunchy and the meat wasn’t dry, for it’s thinness it was pleasantly juicy. The asada on the fries was good, but I ended up just picking the meat off because the fries were undercooked and bland and the cheese was disgusting and there was hardly any sour cream and it wasn’t even the thick sour cream. The cheese on the torta was disgusting too and the carnitas had pieces of fat in it and it was still pretty dry — I scraped off the meat and lettuce, picked out the fat and ate it like a salad, really unsatisfied. And I can’t even comment on the taco because they didn’t give it to me. I didn’t feel like going back and trying to get the taco who knows if they would’ve taken responsibility for that mistake. It was pretty careless seeing as how there was only one other person ordering when I did — it’s not even like they were busy and flustered or something. I didn’t like the food, I was really hungry, obviously haha, but really only ate the sope, so that’s pretty bad. But the employee who took my order was super sweet, the place was clean, they have free WiFi, and a really good condiments bar complete with ok tasting beans. If they had air conditioning it might be worth a 3, but I had a big let down after a big build up. Sadness.

Double meh, one for each taco I had. Now, the meat is good(lengua y cabeza), texture wise, soft and not overly fatty. but the flavor just isn’t there, no matter the toppings and salsa. The sope I was told was subpar, it was a miss all over. King Taco is definitely the way to go. The menu is confusing, it looks like they only have lengua and cabeza, but those are the $$ ones. Full menu is all the way on the right side. Horchata, sweet water with color. Guacala. The only good thing here was the music, what a great«DJ». It made the late night fun, but food wise, very much a NO for me.

Came here at 1am for some late night taco cravings with the girlfriend. Let me tell you, from the outside it may look like a hole in the wall, but inside and their patio, it’s very well maintained and clean. We got pastor, asada tacos, a asada quesadilla and a drink. Note, they have a Coke machine various choices by adding shots of vanilla, cheery, etc. to your soda. The food was good and delicious. Don’t judge a book by its cover.

Ok the Mex joint that used to stand in this once Wiener Schnitzel triangular building sucked balls! But the good news is Tacos El Gallito from LA is no greasy shithole like it’s predecessor. Tried once in DTLA glad it’s here in Anaheim. OK open 7am — 2pm you got my late night attention. A local joint to get a breakfast burro and a local spot to get your late night grub on at the covered patio next to a couple of those fire triangular heater thingies to keep you cozy. Nice touch for a 1am taco borracho fiesta! Ok so I was almost sold when I saw this FREE-JOLES! sign me up coach! And a Mexican sugar laden Coke to wash my tacos down is bonus points on the taco wheel of fortune! The asada tacos are awesome good. Some of the best in the hood if I may say. Cooked out front on a charcoal grill just like home :-) The Carnitas tacos are pretty freakin good and add the green salsa and you got yourself a mighty fine taco. The GREEN salsa rocks! Spicy n tasty. wasnt a fan of the guac, and the red salsa was chipotle ok. The service is polite and quick. The joint is pretty clean for a taco spot, so no fears for the germ phobic peeps. I still got a bunch of exploring on this menu … Asada fries??? Nachos? B-fast burro? … If you are craving some proper tacos then truck on over to Tacos El Gallito Don’t be chicken sone good tacos await! I’ll be back

This place has great tacos. It is walking distance from the Rink’s Anaheim Ice. My wife and I were the only ones there speaking English(this is a good thing). I had two al pastor and two carne asada. Both were delicious. The tacos come as just meat and tortilla. There is a salsa bar for additions. Beans(frijoles de la olla) are free. The tacos came with a roasted jalapeño and a roasted white onion on the side. The onion was cut into quarters but not all the way through. It was drizzled with vegetable oil. The onion was a great bonus. Anytime my kids play hockey at the Anaheim rink, I will find time to go to Tacos El Gallito. I am hungry just thinking about it.

I needed a breakfast burrito quick as I just finished a half marathon. We decided to come here since this place was on the way back to my cousin’s house. We parked in the lot and walked into the establishment. There is no indoor seating, only patio seating. The breakfast burritos are $ 6. The lady at the register said that the breakfast burritos came with sausage, ham, eggs, hash brown and cheese. So we ordered 3 of those and I ordered one with steak, eggs, cheese and hash brown. Not sure why steak had to cost more since I was substituting 2 meats(sausage and ham). The burrito had a generous portion, however lacked in flavor. I added a bit of the red salsa, but the salsa had an odd flavor to it. Not sure if it had been sitting out or if that’s the true flavor. The fiancée’s burrito had beans in it and we weren’t told that there were beans. He barely touched his burrito so it kinda went to waste. There was only 1 cook and there were several customers waiting for this breakfast. There was a wait, but glad you’re able to see the cook making the food items so you can see where your order is.
