Huge variety of bagels! They are really tasty. My favorite breakfast place! Try their reindeer sausage! Been there several times, and look forward to going back.

Great good and wonderful service but beware — they are only open until 2PM. I love the many flavored bagels and hot coffee.

Great menu selection! Bagels are good, not great, but the topping choices are excellent. The Denali bagel sandwich hit the spot. Coffee, hot chocolate, and oatmeal were all solid.

They got three out of three coffee orders wrong. They took 20 minutes to tell us that the bagel with hummus could not be served because they are out of hummus. Our server had only three, small tables bit this seemed beyond her. The bagels are good, just don’t eat or drink here.

Enjoyed my bagel. Smoked salmon spread was tasty. Wait was pretty long for a bagel though. I did like the big pieces of smoked salmon on the lox sandwich though!

9 tables and a steady stream of take outs and one server working all of it(except the cooking). Not her fault it took 30 minutes to get a bagel and coffee… Still not OK

This is a nice comfortable place. I have come here a few times and the bagels are solid! I’ve had the breakfast combo with a bagel with cream cheese, eggs and potatoes and that was pretty good. The eggs were fluffy, and the potatoes were well roasted and seasoned, but the bagel should be the main focus and theirs are perfect! The wait staff is polite and friendly and service was pretty quick. I did have an issue one time when ordering bagels, toasted with cream cheese to go… It took a long time and it turns out it was just sitting there, but I think it was just a one-time mess-up. I have yet to commit to a bagel sandwich, but a bagel with cream cheese will fill you up PLENTY! I think they use about a ½ cup of cream cheese. I appreciate their generosity, but be sure to ask for it a little lighter if you don’t want the full ½″ of cream cheese even spread on each side. This is a great place with a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. So people stay to study, but it’s not too common, I prefer to study at Barnes and noble across the street :)

I don’t get how this place stays open… oh probably because they charge over the top prices for dumpster food. Yeah. That’s it. So a regular bagel is like 2 $ and a bagel with veggies is 10 $? Veggies that include sprouts. a tomato and onion slice… hmm. Good luck. And it isn’t very good. Better made at home.

I had possibly the worst lox bagel ever at this place. The salmon was a bit ripe and like mush: not in a melt-on-your-tongue way but in a sticky kind of congealed way. The bagel itself was cardboardy and kind of flavorless. I was pretty hungry but couldn’t finish it, which is very rare. My appetite has led me to stomach more than a few bad dishes, but not here. My husband’s soup looked and tasted like it was out if a can(either the soup or the veggies in it), but it was bad, as was his accompanying bagel. I see other people like this place. I just can’t fathom giving the place the benefit of the doubt to try it again.

After passing this restaurant for what’s felt like eons, I finally stopped by this morning. Why did I wait so long?! I ordered the Bagel Scramble with Cheese on a Jalapeño Cheddar bagel. Unlike the tiny pre-packaged stuff you’d find at the grocery store, these bagels are the real deal — big and hearty, with just the right amount of crisp and chewiness. The bagel had terrific flavor and good spice, which complemented the savory nature of my sandwich ingredients; said ingredients tasted fresh-made. I placed a to-go order but I’ll definitely be back to sample more of their wares; the ambience is wonderfully quaint. They have a ton of bagel varieties as well as a full menu. Also, if you check in with the Unilocal app, you’ll get 10% off your order. Give this place a try — you won’t be disappointed!

Most bagel places are very in-and-out. Usually you go up to a counter, order your bagel(s), and maybe a coffee, and then you’re on your way. This place functions in that capacity, but it’s also a sit-down restaurant. It is a TWO-IN-ONE. I’ve never sat down and ate here. I don’t have time. I usually roll in, crusty-eyed, caffeine-deprived, wanting a bagel and a coffee before heading into the 9 – 5’er. They always accommodate, and always with a smile. Seriously, the staff is the main reason I come here. They know me by name, they know what I like to order, and they are quick. They make me laugh when I’m feeling sullen, they high-five me when I feel like I’m losing, they flirt with me when I’m feeling unwanted. Does YOUR bagel shop do THAT?! Didn’t think so.

The place is spacious and the waiter provided quick and friendly service. The chai latte came out hot and frothy. I had the lox and cream cheese bagel sandwich with onion and tomato. There was a generous amount of fresh lox. I also tried a reindeer sausage. It was something I really wanted to try while in Alaska. My friend commented that I was eating Rudolph, guess that means I won’t get a present from Santa this year. It didn’t taste too different from any other sausage, maybe a bit leaner. It was a great place for breakfast, but they serve lunch as well.

Service was super quick. Latte was really good. I had the banana nut bagel with peanut butter and it was amazing. My girlfriend had the brooks bagel sandwich and she said it was awesome. Will definitely come again!

It took 20 minutes to get a toasted bagel to go. Don’t come here if you are in a hurry. The kids working the front seem to have trouble managing the customer flow. The bagel wasn’t that good, either.

I have never received bad customer service here– even when the dining room was completely full. While it’s disappointing that that run out of their most popular bagels a little earlier than preferred, it’s an assurance that they’re fresh each day. The prices are reasonable and the bagels are delicious. They’re never dry or bland, and the other meal options are very good as well. With everything from Eggs Benedict and Reindeer sausage omelets to all veggie meals such as their Tundra sandwich you should be able to find something that you like.

Many options. Seat yourself or order up front or sit at the bar and have breakfast. You have lots to choose from. Over 20 Bagel selections. They have vegan and vegetarian bagel sandwiches. They also offer egg dishes and coffee/espresso. Friendly yet slow service. It took forever for them to take our payment.(Why they received 4 stars) They have plenty of discounts for military, seniors, UAA students. Baby changing table in restroom. Clean but«home-y» environment. Fairly cheap. My everything bagel w cream cheese was $ 3.00. I would recommend.

Came in this morning and wanted a side of jalapeño cream cheese with my wife’s order. One employee refused to serve any cream cheese because it had expired and they needed to make more. So I asked if they had any that they were working on that they could scoop up for me before I leave. There was another employee, didn’t get a name but had a short sleeve shirt and a lot of tattoos, who I’m assuming gave me cream cheese from the case that I was just told expired. My wife ate some this morning and went to have another bagel/cream cheese just now. Come to find out, what she thought were jalapeños this morning, WASACTUALLYMOLD. I’m about to leave for work for the night and I pray she doesn’t get sick tonight. We will never be back.

Alaska Bagel is a great place for breakfast or even lunch! Their bagels are made fresh daily and they have a large variety of bagels! My fave is the salmon lox bagel. They don’t skimp you on the salmon at all. Most places only put toppings on one half of the bagel, but Alaska Bagel puts toppings on both slices of bagel. They serve their bagels open faced. You definitely get pretty full. They are actually pretty much a full service restaurant although it might not appear so from the outside. You can also order to go from their counter. Their dining area can accommodate a large amount of guests. It is self seating, so grab a table if you see one! They do get busy during peak hours. They also serve other breakfast/lunch items if you’re not a huge fan of bagels. They have soup, salad, pasta, omelets, eggs, reindeer sausages, etc. Come and try some of their coffee as well. I suggest the white mocha! So bomb! Their service is fast and friendly. Definitely one of my fave spots to grab breakfast and lunch since I work right across the street!
