This is your quintessential«lunch» café.(the do breakfast too, though) They do soups and sandwiches the best. For my taste the portions are a tad small and the prices a bit high, but the quality is definitely there. If the special soup looks good and I’ll get half-sandwich and a cup of soup. If the special sandwich looks good, I’ll just get a whole sandwich. They usually have pretty great photography/art on the walls. You get a cookie with your check, how neat is that?!

The first time I came here I would have given it a two-star, but I would have given my second visit a four star. On my first visit, I was surprised to find it a bit more formal than I expected. I ordered at the counter before realizing there was waiter service, and felt sort of silly sitting there. I got a panini and soup combo, which was fine; nothing amazing and I didn’t think I would be back. The second time I came, I went up to the counter and ordered a to-go salad, opting for the large size for $ 10 of one of the daily specials. The salad was filled with mandarin orange slices, blueberries, and feta and a really yummy honey poppyseed dressing. I will definitely be back for the salads!

We were looking for a new spot for brunch. The Unilocal reviews were spot on! Best Quiche we’ve ever tasted; the service is welcoming; and the coffee good, not great. We’ll be back.

Love this place. Their lunch specials are always delicious. Their coffee and espresso is just OK. The quiche is delectable, their sandwiches are fab. Visit this place with your grandma, mom, girlfriend/boyfriend, husband or wife, friend or even your boss! It’s that good!

No wonder they don’t post their prices online. The half sandwich and a super small bowl of soup was $ 17. I am giving it 4 stars only because the food was delicious.

Oh my YUMMINESS foodie heaven! Try it you WILL like it :) This place is small and that perfect divey mom and pop place I thrive for! I went to lunch with a co-worker here and couldn’t decide what to get. I WAS going to eat super healthy, but after seeing that grilled cheese sandwich they had as a special, I just HAD to have it! It came with four cheeses and bacon on some really freaking amazing bread :) I also got a soup(I forget what kind) but it was soooooo good. I will be frequenting this place! They have daily specials and breakfast for you. Give it a whirl, but try to come before 1200 it does get full.

I came in here in a weekday just after 10 am and it was completely empty. I walked up and ordered the bagel frenchie and a Mexican mocha. They started right away and I was waiting to pay, but I guess you pay after… I wasn’t really sure how it worked, but I guess you wait to be seated if eating in. She came to my table and asked if the it was for here… I guess she assumed it was to go since I ordered at the counter first. The Mexican mocha was really good! It wasn’t too sweet and had a subtle earthy quality to it! The bagel frenchie came out a few minutes later with a small slice of watermelon, thin slice of orange and 2 grapes. It was pretty good! Extremely heavy, but that’s to be expected when you use a bagel for French toast, but it was fluffy at the same time. The center was almost like custard and became more like bread pudding towards the outer rim of the bagel. I should have ordered just a regular coffee to go with the bagel french toast, it was too much sugar with the mocha. It was very good and simple! More people started to come in as I was leaving just before 11. Ill have to come back and try their lunch!

Well, this place is freakin adorable! I stumbled upon it accidentally, but the food is really good and came up super fast. I just had a soup and sandwich combo and a «Mexican» mocha(they use SteamDot coffee). Delish, fast, and with top notch, friendly service. It’s not a huge space, but there’s a good amount of seating and it’s not too stuffed or packed. Very cozy, especially with all the excellent photographs and paintings for sale(pretty decent prices, actually) decorating the walls throughout. I dig it!

First timer here today! I had the pick 2 for $ 12 for lunch. The chicken pot pie soup was amazing!!! Best I’ve ever had! The puffs on top of the soup was a really nice touch! I had the chicken sandwich as well. Super yummy! The zucchini, red onions and mushrooms went really well with the sandwich. Loved how it came panini pressed. This is such a cute and cozy place for lunch. Service was fast & friendly. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu items. I heard their quiche is amazing!

Went for a late lunch. Got a pastrami Ruben and it was really good. Wife got a whole slice quiche ½ Salmon ½ Lorraine. Would have liked a little more flavor of Salmon but really good. Hint Hint … We went late, all the soups were gone.: -(Really wanted a really good beer cheese soup! Will go back but early!

Amazing Quiche! Best I’ve ever had. Really fluffy and delish! Soups are great, too. Try their rhubarb lemonade! Clean, quaint, worth a stop.

Doriola’s = yum! If you can get past the name sounding like a condition involving a naked female Doritos eating contest(and heck, even if you can’t) this may be the place for you. You’d never expect the quaint organic-artsy feel of the place from the outside strip mall exterior but that’s the part of the charm. Not a ton of tables, and not too few. I decided on the quiche, spinach, and it was perfect. The crust was flakey and tender and tasty. The egg filling was light and fluffy and perfectly balanced with the spinach and cheeses and other flavors. I grabbed a bag of fresh-baked cookies to take back to some co-workers and they were a hit as well. I’d go back. It’s hard to find food this yummy and well-prepared in Alsaska(yeah, Im new but still)!

I don’t mind spending a little more money for really good food, but not on what this place has to offer. Gave them two chances, the first time the food we had for breakfast was average at best, and the«homemade cookies» we took home for a treat were dry, brittle, and tasted bland like baking powder. We had to throw them away. Cha-ching! The next visit we ordered a breakfast burrito to go with bacon and egg and it was $ 12 — are you kidding me? They think far too highly of themselves to charge that kind of money for the product produced. My advice is to spend your money elsewhere like Middle Way Café or Fire Island Bakery. We will definitely NOT be back.

I decided to give this place a shot for a cup of coffee and a snack. The coffee was ok and the cookie I got was pretty good. But I don’t think I will be coming back. The prices are far above average, but the thing that really rubbed me the wrong was was the way the owner talks to her employees. I was being rung out for my coffee and snack when an older lady(who I’m assuming is one of the owners) pushes the girl aside who had made my coffee. She(the presumed owner) messes up the order by trying to add wherever she was doing to my order. The barista pointed out what the owner had done and started berating the barista, threw down the credit card she was trying to run(before mine) and said to the barista in a demeaning tone«fine you do this then». All right in front of me. Any owner or manager who treats their employees in such a rude way, especially in front of customers, is embarrassing themselves and making everyone around feel uncomfortable. Even though I work near by, this place will be receiving no more of my business for the owners attitude alone. Treat people better, that’s my advice.

Well… never got far enough to try the food unfortunately. I was trying to have lunch with my daughter(who is 1). I asked for a highchair and was told they only have«a booster seat». Any parent knows a booster seat will certainly not work for anyone under 3. Unilocal has this restaurant down as «Good for Kids», but unless your kids are adult size, there’s no room here for them. And what happens if you brought TWO kids? Or a kid was already there!!!(The NERVE!) I think the appropriate description would be «Good for One Kid Over 3». So we’ll spend our lunch money elsewhere.

Menu is limited, mostly healthier version of typical heavy American breakfast. Nothing is fried, all baked. I tried their quiche which was delicious, very fresh and the crust was crispy, really enjoyed that. Friend got breakfast wrap, he said it tasted good but it looked a little bland to me. I’d go back again for their parfait which looked awesome by the description.

Very good the cheeseburger soup was to die for, I think I would prefer my sandwiches on whole grain or whole wheat or at least a choice, not a big fan of white bread. Service was friendly. Venue located in strip mall like location.

Good, healthy, clean food, and serves(in my snooty opinion) the best quiche in town. Always promptly watered(with a lemon slice!) in the self-seating restaurant of about 15 tables, with fresh rotationg soups and menu specials. I usually get the duo which are 2 half-sized portions of the specials for about $ 11, while the trio consists of 3 items, or 1 large and one ½ portion of the specials for $ 16. The food makes me feel like I’m going to rehab as all the goodness pushes out the toxins I regularly abuse my body with. There are the everyday favorites listed too, but I like to try something new everytime. This place fills up fast during the lunch rush, but the wait is not long as this place can turn and burn with the best of them. Another plus is the little cookie that is given with the check, and yes it is fresh baked.

Wow, I just had a good experience at Doriola’s. I have a feeling the woman I ordered from is the owner; she was very nice, helpful and pleasant to talk to. I ordered to-go at the height of the lunch rush, and I probably didn’t wait any more than 8 min for the food. They have daily specials, so I ordered a combo of their homemade tomato roasted red pepper soup and their Strawberry, Mandarin Orange and Baby Spinach Salad. The candied pecans and parsely vinagrette were the perfect accompaniment to the salad. The dressing itself wasn’t overpowering because of the tanginess of the fresh fruit. The soup was very warm and filling; though not as good as the salad. My friend said his rueben sandwich was excellent as well. I thought it was cute all orders come with a petite cookie. Just the perfect size not to feel guilty. These flavors were balanced, bold and texture was the right consistency. What people love about food is the smell, taste, and touch of food; Doriola’s scores high on all 3 aspects. If you’re thinking of trying this place out, check them out on the web; they have daily specials that are updated.
