Calling in an order is torturous… every time I gave them information, they put their hand over the phone to talk to someone else — not only to be asked again, and again. Very frustrating.

I swing here at least once a week for lunch, and I am never disappointed. You know how a sandwich tastes better when someone else makes it? Well, that sums up my feelings about this place. It’s not complicated fare, or something you could not make at home, but they do it very well and are always consistent. Great group of people working hard to make a great sandwich.

Love Saras Sandwiches!!! They make the best sandwiches… and they have alfalfa sprouts!!! I don’t know about anyone else but that’s a big deal for me. I also like how you write down your order so you can customize it to your personal preference.

Sara’s makes good, affordable sandwiches quickly. I wouldn’t call their selections gourmet by any stretch, but they are a solid alternative to the usual fast food lunch drudgery. One thing I’ve noticed that I wish they would change: They do a «signature» cut with their subs where they don’t slice all the way through the end of the bread. I think this is an economic decision as much as anything, because they don’t have to put veggies and meat all the way to the end of the sandwich. When you eat it, you start on a luscious and meaty end of the sandwich and with each bite you get diminishing returns until there’s just two inches of dry bread that will probably go to waste. Other than that, I’ve got no problems with this place!

This place stays hoppin. I love using their«business only delivery» to get lunch at work. I’ve gotten the French dip and the Cajun chicken, both large and super filling sandwiches. I’ve also had the small potato soup which is creamy and a good size for what you pay. They have so many options that you’re bound to find something you like.

I wrote a review about 5 years ago on Google that slammed this place, Today I wanted to give them another chance and that was a mistake. I ordered the French Dip. The bread and Au Jus were the only decent parts of the sandwich, but the meat was cold unseasoned deli beef that was pink and sliced thicker than a french dip sandwich should be sliced, the cheese was just thrown on top and it was not melted, they put huge canned mushrooms on the sandwich, They just kind of threw them on top, they did not cook them in with the beef, and long nasty strings of STRONG red raw onions. I normally expect sauteed onions or no onions with a French Dip. Maybe the cold sandwiches are okay, but I have never tried them. The hot sandwiches are just BAD. They were bad 5 years ago when I did my google review on this place and they are still bad 5 years later. As I sit here with a stomach ache and bubble guts, offending everyone in my immediate area at the office with the strong leftover smell from the onions in that sandwich, my suggestion is to steer clear of this gastronomic catastrophe.

I’ve been going to Sara’s for 10+ years. Their sandwiches are always delicious and the bread, meat, cheese and veggies are always super fresh. The sub roll sandwiches are big enough that I can usually only eat half(my husband can put back the whole thing but is always full). The sandwiches and combos are fairly priced, usually around $ 17 for two sandwiches alone. Great drink selection if you’re into that and treat yourself to the peanut butter brownie… so good. Service is quick and its a great place to grab dinner on the way home on nights I don’t want to cook. I recommend it to everyone!

This was my first visit here, I called my order in for pick up and went to get it. The sandwich was ready when I got there and the soup was prepared once I had arrived. I ordered an Italian combo and a small side of chili. My total without a tip was $ 13. So it’s about average for Anchorage I’d say. The staff was nice, kind of talkative which is good or bad depending on your personality lol. They noticed they had incorrectly charged me and fixed it before I even had a chance to realize and that was very nice in my book. The portions are huge! A small chili is a large at most other places I couldn’t even finish it. The sandwich is the same I could only finish half of it. As far as the chili though I was kind of disappointed, it really didn’t taste like chili to me. The italian combo was alright, I didn’t notice a crazy amount of toppings on it. The bread was really good, it was fresh it seemed. Other than that I mean I wasn’t super impressed with it. I probably won’t come back here just because it’s a far drive from where I live and I wasn’t blown away with the food. If I lived right around the corner though I’d probably give it a couple more tries and maybe sample something else on the menu.

Pretty good sandwich. I got the triple combo. The best thing about the place is that it has a huge selection and you can have them make almost anything you can think of. I wouldn’t go out of my way to return but I’d eat there again if I were in the area.

This place was so good! There are so many choices you can get and make it whatever way you want. On Saturdays they give you free soup with a meal. They have every choice of drink you can think of which is awesome. There is not a ton of sitting places but its enough when it isn’t busy. It does look like a deck in there because it is all lawn furniture which is a little sad that they cant buy just normal chairs. They use Boars head meat(stuff from Fred Meyer), it is good quality. Do not listen to Shannon’s review that says they are oscar mayer cold cuts with wonder bread because neither of those facts are true. They do have deserts but I have not tried them but they look good! I cant wait to go back and try a different sandwich. They did forget my pickle which made me super sad!

I’ve been here a few times and really like this place… I’m surprised that i haven’t written my review :/we’ve had the roast beef, the Italian, French dip and the Italian sausage. They were all super good with soft fresh bread! Their sub bread is pretty thick, but it’s soft so it’s deliciously! You also get a fee soup with your sandwich, which is AWESOME! We’ve had the chili, clam chowder and broccoli cheddar. All again are perfect! But it’s pretty filing. It’s a great deal for your money! They’re a little wasteful using disposable everything even if we are eating in, but that’s a personal issue for me. We will definitely be back! They have good portions at a good price and are VERY delicious!

Some products are too processed and service is lacking, but a few of the sandwiches are pretty awesome.

Overpriced sandwiches you can make at home. It’s like some slapped to pieces of wonder bread together with Oscar Mayer turkey cold cuts.

Ordering here was somewhat confusing, but after we figured it out and got our sandwiches the experience wasn’t much better. The sub was huge but made mostly of lettuce. My husband enjoyed his French dip, wish I could say the same about my chicken bacon ranch. If I return I will order to go, the inside looks like a bunch of lawn furniture thrown together, with a huge fish thrown on the wall named Sara. I’m from Georgia, so you would think I would like this redneck hole in the wall, but even southern people know how to keep it classy. If I could rate negative. I would.

This place is so good! They have a wide variety of sandwiches to choose from. I love getting the turkey in a spinach wrap with all the veggies. Even when they are slammed, the people are friendly and the food is quick! If you are looking for a well put together sandwich this is the place!

Best sandwich in town, hands down. Although, if you order the soup, get the small every time. The only difference between it and the large is the container design mostly. The amount served is almost the same in each.

Slamming Sammy’s! Sandwiches are just DELISH! Sometimes I forget how wonderfully yummy a simple sammich can be, thanks for reminding me! Just a note… either improve on your coffee or don’t offer it. I’ve stopped at Sara’s Too a few times in the morning and it’s just… aweful. I may be a bit of a coffee snob but I think the majority of Anchorage is. Their food is too delish to be brought down by a bad cup of joe.

I love this place! They sandwiches are amazing and so cheap! I don’t know how they make any money with all the toppings they pile on — seriously, these sandwiches are huge! They also offer free soup on Saturdays when you purchase a sandwich. And if you buy a fountain drink you get free chips! An entire meal(sandwich, soup, chips & a drink) for right about $ 10. Awesome!

This place is legit. Ginormous sandwiches made to order… they don’t skimp on anything. The staff was patient as I took my time to build my «delight» and they were accomodating with special requests. LOVE!
