Servers here are notoriously moody and overly sensitive– I’ve seen them throw fits at people for no real reason at all, and they generally put out a vibe that they don’t want to be bothered. The beer and food are of standard airport HMSHost quality and price– this place is not owned or operated by Humpy’s, the name is simply rented by HMSHost. The food is as wildly inconsistent as the service– sometimes it’s acceptable, other times it’s complete trash. The Alaska-centric food is usually good(although expensive) because it’s not Food Services-sourced, but it’s still affected by the moody inconsistent staff, including the kitchen staff. Currently the worst place to spend your time in while at Ted Stevens.

Got in here at 8pm and sparse customers. Which meant I had class A service. Sat at big window. Old school rock was great. Server was attentive, broccoli soup hot. Had the cheeseburger. Spot on. You will be satisfied.

Soup was cold. Server didn’t seem to care. The half bite that I had taste like it was a previously frozen, bag of some processed food crap, companies sell to restaurants. Yuk yuks

Service has been slow more often than not, but good food and drink selection. Kinda ticked me off though when they said they strangely wouldn’t accept my Humpy’s gift card at the airport location, and that it had to be used at a town location according to waitress.

Better than your usual airport bar. I usually get the crab app but ask for the cocktail sauce on the side to just get the crab. The daily soups and specials are always good but you often have to ask your server or bartender.

Great beer selection with amazing views of mountains. Beware of the hot wings though – I can typically handle very spicy food, but these wings completely rocked me. Ask for triple celery. Or beer.

It’s a typical Alaskan restaurant, which was nice because it was our last stop before flying back home. There’s a hugeee window that you can sit at and look out at what happens at the nearby gates. You can seat yourself, so if you see an open spot, take it! Our waitress was prompt & courteous and she did warn us that the food was going to take 30 – 40 minutes because they were down a cook. It took about 25 minutes for the food to come out. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich(so Alaskan, I know) and my husband ordered the halibut fish & chips. I also ordered the midnight sun oosik amber ale which I had at another restaurant in Talkeetna. Everything was pretty standard but yummy, considering it was airport food, and it definitely left us satisfied. It was a nice last meal. If we ever come back to this airport, we’ll keep this restaurant in mind.

Service is really slow. It took about 10 minutes before they even took our drink order. Nochos were not really that good either… :-(

The halibut tacos are great and huge. Lots of toppings, pico de gallo, cheese, cabbage, jalapeños. Halibut was very juicy, not dry like a couple others I’ve had recently. For airport food its darn good.

Loved the cheeseburger(nice backyard grill char flavor, juicy, no mealy bits) — pretty good for airport. This restaurant is also in the quieter B gates which is nice. Humpys is a local downtown favorite, nice to see it in the airport.

No complaints. Chicken sandwich was fresh and tasty and wife loved the halibut taco. It’s actually on a burrito sized tortilla so the portion is big. Service was prompt

Humpy’s has good food and drinks. It offers a good layover spot to eat, drink, catch a game and kill time before flying. Time flies, better watch the clock or you might miss your flight.

On our way home, stopped by for a bite before heading back to LA Great Salmon salad.(Quick to get you on your way) a bit pricy but right inline with airport prices.

I truly enjoy the fact that Humpy’s has a place in the airport. Going to Humpy’s has become a tradition when visiting my family in Anchorage and them having a place in the airport makes it easy to grab some very good food while waiting for our flight. Quality of food is very comparable to their downtown location, a little pricier(which is to be expected for inside the airport), and convenient to grab. One negative about this location is that they don’t have the smoked salmon appetizer like downtown.

I think it says more about me than the restaurant but the«healthy choice» salmon with white rice and teriyaki was some serious comfort food for me. Even after a couple weeks full of salmon, I was still pleased with the quality of the filet. It was a bit pricier than I would have liked for an airport meal but they do deliver good quality so I’m not too worked up about it.

I cringed when my friend ordered us a plate of nachos. I’ve had these at the downtown location, and wasn’t impressed. Imagine my surprise when they showed up with FRESH jalapeños! Yum! I like! I presented my Humpy’s Rewards card at checkout to get my points, and I was told that this wasn’t a part of the Humpy’s empire. No wonder the food was better! I remember having wings here a year ago, and I was happy with them as well. This location just leases the name I guess, and tries to follow the same menu. Much better in my opinion.

I went on other recommendations and specifically ordered the wings which one review claimed to be the perfect balance of spicy and tangy. I know, Alaska for wings? Fair point, although I like to think reviews are always good. My take: In short, the review wasn’t too accurate. I probably have a snobby lens being from NY. But the place is clear 3 star. I’d have no problem eating there again but I wouldn’t rush to come aback. The aforementioned wings? Also 3 star for the same reason. But in ANC you could do a lot worse than this place.

I did not get a change to visit Humpy’s while in Anchorage, so when I saw this Humpy’s at the airport I had to go. Obviously you can’t compare in terms of environment; but looking at the menu, I am glad I did not go to the site in Anchorage. I had a taste of the calamari; which turned to be calamari steaks — which taste nothing like calamari(rings).

I had the pleasure of dining at the Downtown location, so while waiting for my flight to go home, I was excited to come across this location and have one last meal to end my vacation. When we were at the other location, my friends and I all ordered different entrees and one of my friends had the Crab Roll Sandwich. It looked amazing and I decided to try it for myself. Super yummy, fresh and flavorful. Very filling and was perfect way to end my Alaskan trip. Prices are a little high and menu did not include everything that was featured at the Downtown location, but I think they did a great job including favorites. Try the Alaskan ales. Great complement to any meal.

My co-worker and I had a great celebratory dinner after finishing some work in Valdez and coming through Anchorage. 20oz beers are about $ 8.50 which is a bit high, but this is Alaska and everything costs more. I had the crab salad sandwich which mixed fake crab and real crab and had a great creamy flavor. The salad that came with it was gigantic. Probably an error from the kitchen, but our AWESOME server Pat just let it go and laughed about it. She definitely made our dinner! My co-worker had the wings and they were very spicy which she liked. If you can’t handle spice, don’t get the wings! Great last meal in Alaska, AND it’s in the airport.
