Came here a little while back and was definitely pleased. Perhaps my favorite thing about this place was the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. It has a trendy vibe to it combined with different elements which was interesting. The food was great and definitely recommend.

Amazing food, portions, service. Busy place. But worth the wait. I enjoyed the whole experience. Very laid back atmosphere, service was great wait staff checked on us many times and kept the glasses full. Price was reasonable. I recommend and will be coming back.

After a LONG day on the road, Spenards Road House on Northern Lights Blvd was the place for dinner. Our server was friendly and made great recommendations. What was most impressive, was that she remembered Alaska was a stop on a trip from Florida, and came over to tell us that the Northern Lights were dancing and we should go out side. That small act of kindness, and being able to see the lights from a city parking lot was amazing. The lights danced for hours that night. Thank you, so very much, for a moment that will not be forgotten!

One of my favorite places in Anchorage. Terrific drinks menu. The tatertots, quinoa salad, and hot sandwiches are excellent. Go on a sunny day and sit on the patio watching the weirdos stroll by.

We visited anchorage and actually came here twice because the food was good and we had some pretty sub par places in between. On our final visit for brunch I ordered a soda and sandwich and my wife ordered a Arnold Palmer and a sandwich. When they gave us refills my wife asked for just iced tea with no lemonade added. When we paid I noticed they charged for the refill of an iced tea… found this to be pretty weak… otherwise their food and service was fine.

The bar is fantastic, best selections of bourbon you’ll find in Alaska. The restaurant is casual with fine dining options as well as upgraded comfort foods. Don’t leave without trying the«bacon of the month» or the super tots!

Gotta hand it to this hipster joint for always providing excellent service and fresh food. Waiters and waitresses are always attentive and quick to deliver anything asked for regardless of the number of patrons they’re serving. Drinks are a bit on the high side but they are strong and well made. They have one of the best spicy Bloody Mary’s out there. For food, don’t forget to order their«Bacon of the Month» as it won’t disappoint. The prosciutto pizza is very filling and very well put together. The Bacon Jam burger is a signature dish of theirs and is phenomenal.

My heart has been satisfied. I’ve been craving some Thai Lettuce Wraps for the longest time. Finally I was able to savor my all time favorite! It was as good as I remember it even with the changes. We didn’t order tots but I highly recommend them! The jambalaya was fabulous as always. The special Roadhouse Cobb is a great hearty dinner sized salad. The curry is delicious as well! It’s nice how it comes I two sizes, small– if you’re not too hungry or large if you’re famished.

I have been three times and overall enjoy this place. Only one time did something happen that was less then desirable. It was my birthday and I ordered spicy thai chicken curry the large portion. My friend ordered the same thing but the small portion. His had a TON of chicken in his small portion or at least a good ratio. I think mine maybe had 2 bites of chicken in this huge bowl of soupy curry. I found it weird especially considering I was paying for the large one but the only difference form the small was a ton more soupy sauce and no chicken. It was my birthday so I decided to say something and not just accept it. The waitress asked if she could just bring over some chicken and basically plop it on my dish. I asked if maybe she could take it back and do it instead and not do it right at the table. She took it back and came back with a the same plate but this time there was some cold chicken plopped inside. I have been there three times and one of them wasn’t the best but might have just been a fluke. Also, the waitress asked me if I wanted a refill but then charged me for each expensive lemonade refill I had and didn’t tell me that they charge for each one as if its a whole new drink so it ended up paying a lot just for that. Perhaps if I go again and have a good experience I will update my review but for now I will give it a 3.5.

Visiting from Los Angeles. Great customer service, friendly staff quick service for pickup orders. I had the Korean Tofu Taco and tots. The taco is more like a burrito and a huge serving of tots. Yum!

For my first real meal in Alaska, thiswas phenomenal! This place is a step above any place you thought was awesome. The portion size perfect. It’s not as spendy as I thought it would be. We came into town and had dinner with a friend here tonight. We ordered calamari to start. It was amazing. Came with a chipotle aioli. Cooked to perfection. We also ordered a pizza that had black figs, the smoked turkey Reuben and Mac and cheese on the side. I wasn’t a fan of the Reuben because I don’t really like sauerkraut, but was pleasantly surprised when I tried it. See guys, this place can make you like something you spent your whole life thinking you hated. Pizza was not your run of the mill restaurant pizza. It was very flavorful. Perfect mix of prosciutto, figs, caramelized onion, chèvre cheese, jack cheese, oil and topped with a wilted arugula salad. The crust had a great chew and the sweet salty mix was just scrumptious. This place is local so it does get crowded. The wait is completely worth it. If your new to Alaska like we are, or a tourist lost in the local hodgepodge of town, stop here! Lol. You will not regret it!

I loved the feel of this place as soon as I walked in. The gal who took my order was friendly and helpful and brought my lavender iced tea over to me on the couch while I was waiting for my food order. I ordered the veggie special here, which was a quinoa veggie dish similar to a chile relleno. It was served with a huge side portion of the deep fried blackened brussels sprouts — these were the best restaurant brussels sprouts I have ever had! I took the order to go and even on a super busy afternoon it only took about 10 – 15 min from start to finish for my order to come out. Pretty impressive for this cozy little restaurant. I was also amazed by how busy it was in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday — that says something for sure! I would definitely come back here and highly recommend!

Excellent service. I had the rock fish and chips and it was great. I also had a glass of their white Brown Bag wine and that was excellent too. I have not been to this place in quite a while and it was just wonderful. It is a little noisy but very easy to have a conversation at your own table. The friend I was with had the jambalaya and she said it was excellent also. I certainly won’t wait so long before my next visit.

I came in with a group of five ravenous students excited for a meal here. We all left full, but unanimously underwhelmed. We started with a bowl of bacon mac and cheese, plenty of bacon but too salty. For dinner I ordered the grilled cheese with bacon and apple, with tots as my side. The bacon was burnt to a crisp, and the bread didn’t have the soft-yet-crunchy texture I was looking for. The bacon’s flavor was well obliterated, so all that remained was an overwhelming apple taste. My classmates had similar things to say about their meals. Prices were a fair bit higher than what I’m used to in Seattle. On a plus note, the tots were good.

Best meal in anchorage. It looks like a Sizzler restaurant outside and in, but it has been repurposed as the hippest place in ANC. Most everyone were locals and the place was packed for 6:30 on a Wednesday night. Server was Abby, or Abigal as she playfully corrected us. She was über helpful, telling us that there are only two things on the menu that are not good. She pointed out one item from each section(apps, salads, pizza, sandwiches and entrees). The menu is quite varied and changes a lot. When we inquired about the soup of the day to a passing server(Travis), he explained it(turkey, kale and squash stew) and then brought us three samples. This place has Bacon of the Month. As if Bacon isn’t special enough, they honor it with a unique preparation. We had«buffalo-style» bacon, which was a thick slice of bacon battered and deep fried, then tossed in buffalo red hot sauce(like wings) and covered in blue cheese. We had an assortment of seasonal items — soup of the day(the sample was THAT good), roasted brussel sprouts, and a bunch of other great things that may not be on the menu. My recommendation is to ask the server and go with the seasonal items.

I’ll echo previous comments about this place being reminiscent of a previous chain restaurant. I thought I was in a diner of some sort with the high ceilings and roomy booths. However, it’s the service, drinks, and food that count. Service was great; even with our group of 14. Our server kept up with us handily. I ran into a friend who told me about the bourbon collection here. Sure enough, the lineup was impressive. Apparently, if you sample all the bourbons, you get your name on the wall. Obviously you don’t have to do it all at once. On to the food. They have a «bacon of the month» here! Nice! This month it was beer brittle. I had to have some. Five thick slices on a plate with a nice sweet crunch and a small bowl of chocolate sauce to dip. Delish! I was attracted to the«house made Italian sausage» pizza which was very good as well. Good find!

I like this place. The food is consistently good. Have eaten in house and ordered takeout. They never mess the orders up which makes me happy! The salad dressings here are homemade and if you ask, they will sell them to you. I love the green goddess and ranch. Favorite items: Tots(potatoes are my downfall), avocado melt, the Salmon Nicoise salad, and I LOVE their spicy ginger soda! Another plus is the fact they’re open pretty late and if you time it right, the ambience inside is pretty nice when the place isn’t freaking packed. My son loves this place too because all the kid meals come with a SMORE. Wish it was a little less expensive, but high prices seem to be the common thread in most restaurants here.

This restaurant seemed like it was going to be the cat’s meow. We got seated right away and before we knew it we had a server ready to take our order. I had a lemonade and my husband had a ginger ale as well as the spicy ginger ale. The lemonade and spicy ginger ale were great. My only complaint is thay my glass was dirty. My husband ordered the bacon jam burger and I ordered the chicken sandwich with the tomato soup. The sandwich was good though next time i am going to ask for sliced apple on it instead of onion. The soup was flavorful. My husbanf was surprised the burger filled him up. We were please but not wowed like we were hoping to be. We are going to try this place for dinner another time.

Yum! My spicy Thai curry was good, but not as spicy as I’d like. The dessert was delicious! Poached pear o.m.g. I like the atmosphere of the place, and the Bacon of the Month concept!

Having had the legendary Roadhouse bloody I feel compelled to update my review. The Roadhouse offers several vodka options for their bloody maries: japapeno, chili or ghost-pepper infused, in ascending order of spiciness. When I ordered the ghost-pepper option our server warned me that it was truly spicy – I was not dissuaded and I’m happy I ordered it(and had no trouble finishing) but be warned – this is very hot, like causes you to sweat profusely on a chilly morning hot. If you like that(and I do) this is the drink for you. Food-wise I was less enthused; I asked for soft/wet scrambled eggs and received eggs that were not well-done but hardly the creamy dish I was going for. My meal also came with an English muffin that wasn’t even toasted – who would ever eat an English muffin this way? The point is to toast them! My dad also found his corn beef hash to be particularly dry and lacking in flavor. However, the bacon and breakfast potatoes were delicious and the coffee was strong and smooth. This is definitely a go-to spot brunch spot for Anchorage – particularly if you like spicy drinks!
