no longer open in Anchorage. Facebook page no longer exists. lists no Alaska locations. Not surprised at all. We were wondering when it was going to happen. They advertised themselves as a sports bar– but were closed on Sundays until after the game.

I drove by here yesterday on a Tuesday afternoon and I hear that it is now closed. What a shame. They had a good layout for the dining area and a lot of TVs to catch the football games on Sunday. I myself never had an issue eating here, but considering the amount of negative reviews from others who visited this place, I shouldn’t be too surprised.

This is the worst service I’ve had in a Titled Kilt and in Alaska. They need to hire people starting with leadership that have worked in a successful restaurant. The place is empty on a Saturday night, that should be a huge red flag to the owners of this establishment. Then to wait 20 minutes for a beer, almost 45 minutes for a burger, and then it was the incorrect burger(not even close to what I ordered) and they had to make a new one — claimed they were trying a new menu. Fries were cold but my coworkers fries were burnt. Staff came by our table only after we started complaining, which I had to get up and chase the staff down — and remind you the place was empty. Manager was at the bar eating, probably my burger that I returned. My coworkers and I will not come back to this establishment, and I would forewarn anyone via Unilocal that there are much better places for a burger and beer that know how to run a customer service focused restaurant. Good luck to the owners — advice — replace the staff with qualified employees, primarily on peak nights and advertise once you do that. Might also be good to have someone greeting and seating customers as they come into the front door, restaurant 101, instead of staff sitting in the back on their cell phones. I couldn’t imagine what this place would be like if it was a full house.

This place is my go-to sports bar to go and watch ‘the game’ on Sunday evenings. My boyfriend and I have gotten into the habit of going here almost every Sunday afternoon to watch the Cowboys play and they habitually play the Cowboys game on every single screen in their establishment(although– they’ll certainly change screens upon request). Most of the fans who go here are definitely here to see the Cowboys play. With that being said, this place is never busy, never loud, and a surprisingly relaxed place to watch the game compared to similar places in Anchorage like Buffalo Wild Wings and The Peanut Farm. «Tilted Kilt» is essentially a Scottish themed version of ‘Hooters’. You have waitresses in skimpy clothing serving you typical ‘game food’ like burgers, pizzas, nachos, and other heavy, greasy food options. The Tilted Kilt in particular is a bit of an odd place because it’s obviously ‘Scottish’(hence the Kilt) but has Irish décor and Irish-titled food options. Either the person who created the place is culturally ignorant or they’re going for more of a ‘Far Western European Island Vibe’. I don’t know exactly, but this place is a fun place to go in Anchorage nonetheless. There are a ton of huge flat screen TVs sporadically placed around the eating area and bar. There’s plenty of seating. Everything from small tables for couples and small groups– to larger tables for big groups, and a bar area for singles and everyone in between. They have a ton of beers on tap, although nothing special or spectacular. I’m not a beer drinker, but my boyfriend is so this is a big deal to him. The seating is well-spaced and it’s never been crowded(in fact it’s relatively empty every time we’ve been in here– I’m not sure how they stay in business). We always get a great view of the game though, and the sound quality is great. It’s super easy to hear what’s going on. The food is ‘meh’. We don’t come here for the food, but rather the game. You’ll get your basic greasy ‘fast food’ here. It’s nothing special, but it’s a good game-day treat. The girls(servers) are pretty and very friendly. They’re wearing very revealing clothing, but a lot of families still tend to bring their kids here anyways– and it is a family-friendly-ish environment. If you’re coming for the girls you’ll be happy, but there’s rarely a lot of women working. At most, two or three girls are waiting tables. They also have a few men who seem to help supplement the work. Not sure if they just can’t find women to hire, or they just don’t have the money to adequately staff the place. Either way, on game day there is NO better place in Anchorage to go to except for The Tilted Kilt. It’s quiet, the seating is spaced out nicely, there are plenty of TVs, you can actually HEAR the game(without a thousand people shouting), and they have some good traditional football-watching meal choices. I wouldn’t come here unless there was a game on(as it’s not ‘great’), but out of all of the places in Anchorage to watch a Cowboys game, this place is hands down my first choice.

I’ve been to other Tilted Kilts. This one is very spacious and we’ll kept. The ladies are absolutely nice and attentive when we visited. The three stars go to the food. I was not very impressed with anything but their cheddar beer soup. That was truly the highlight of the visit. It is warm, cheesy, beery deliciousness. Not many items on their menu caught my eye so I played it safe with chicken tenders and sweet potato fries. Let’s just say the chicken tenders weren’t completely crunchy and part of the batter was soggy :-/. The sweet potato fries looked and tasted like the pre-packaged generic frozen kind that probably aren’t made from real sweet potatoes. The sweet potato award and my heart stays with Red Robin. But if you’re looking for a good beer, catch a game or just hang out with friends it’s a pretty good spot.

What time do you open? Not going to be in business much longer. Tired of waiting for the doors to be unlocked, drove off at 11:20 am.

Wtf. Worst experience in a restaurant ever. 1 hour for wings then when they came out the order was wrong. Errrrrr! I don’t think they had any staff!

I would say that this is one of the worst places to Eat. Food is Terrible. Would not recommend it for your wife’s also. It’s like eating at a Hooter ’ s but with really bad Food!

Cold cold beer. Service was fine and Gaelic Chicken was yummy. Yes they do wear short kilts and low cut blouses.

Basic food & basic bitches, not a hater. but not a fan. My beer was as flat as the waitress. Had to laugh at the similarities.

Do you like your shepherd’s pie runny, and your chicken breast utterly without flavour? My husband and I do not, and that’s why we were disappointed with our visit to this highly over-rated sports bar. The beer selection was surprisingly uninspiring, possibly due in part to the fact that the server knew nothing about any of them. And the prices! Ten dollars for a 14-ounce glass of second-rate brew is outrageous, in my view. The servers in mini-kilts sit at your table while talking to you, a ploy which seems better suited for a Bangkok soi bar, but it doesn’t necessarily translate into good service. Apparently a chain, this outfit has no real connection to Alaska, or to the town in which it is located. Creepy, expensive, and second-rate, this place is definitely not recommendable.

Had never been there before and have no intention on going again. The service at the tables was so slow, 30 min for a beer, ridiculous. I know its a guy hang out, and I have no problems with«the view» as it is said, however looking good only gets you so far. I’d rather have a decent waitress with a personality than just some chick showing off her goods. The only reason I say 2 stars was the bartenders, they were accommodating and pleasant. Unfortunately the outrageous prices and less than mediocre service from the waitstaff is just enough to make it so we won’t be going back.

This place is pretty mediocre. But I guess considering its a national sports bar chain that’s main gimmick is hot girls in skimpy outfits, it’s about what I’d expect. I do enjoy the bar, they have a good selection of beer, and the tv layout throughout the bar is good. The food is hit or miss. On 6 or so visits, I have only eaten one meal that I thought was actually really good(shepherds pie). I’ve had a few burgers there, one was pretty good, one was absolutely raw and greasy and just gross. The flat bread pizzas are decent, the Irish nachos are tasty but kinda greasy and gross too. Typical sports bar food I guess… I’ll probably keep going here. The girls are friendly, and the bar is a decent place to hang out. Just don’t expect anything too awesome when it comes to the food and you’ll be fine.

Well the atmosphere is fun. But the food isn’t worth the price. There is too much on their menu, which makes it overwhelming. They make very strong drinks. I’ve been there twice and I decided I will not be returning. My friend was also disappointed in her Shepards pie. Her husband ordered a Dublin bacon burger which only had 1 patty instead of 2. And my stew was very mediocre. The garlic bread was delicious though, and the Irish margarita. Oh and the pretzel with beer cheese is good. We went here for St. Patrick’s day and left disappointed. It is loud and over priced.

So couple of friends and I went to this place on a weekday evening first time ever for me. I got to say I had a good time, I ordered the pretzels my other friend ordered the spinach dip and both were good. I was really impressed with the drinks I ordered the Kona Lager, sailor punch and the pain reliever. Excellent drinks! The atmosphere was awesome, a lot of open space and ample amount of TVs and the service was excellent. I am a female and even I thought the waitresses and the waiters uniforms were pretty cool. I would’ve given it before except I haven’t tried their main menu items. I will be returning and I will be updating my review once I’ve tried the food there other than the appetizers.

I thought it’d be fun to check out the Tilted Kilt, and my wife and I visited there last Tuesday. It wasn’t too busy and we asked to sit in Natalie’s section, based on a prior review. The girls there do provide some eye-candy for the guys, but that is a thin veneer that will not keep a patron coming back again and again. Good service and good food will, and we had both. I had the cod fish and chips and my wife had the Irish Dip beef sandwich. Our food came quickly and was served with a great attitude by Natalie(Eunhye). The fact that the skimpy Tilted Kilt outfit seemed to be tailor made for her figure didn’t hurt anything, but we much more appreciated her attentiveness and great attitude. When we mentioned she had a good review online, she about jumped for joy, it was very cute. The cod was good, though I always prefer halibut in my fish and chips, and made a very good leftover fish taco the next day. My wife’s sandwich was tasty, with tender meat, and a fresh roll. The salad and fries on the side were well made, though the salad should be enjoyed immediately, as it did not survive the night in the fridge as well as the fish. All in all, I will return to Tilted Kilt, for the food and maybe for a game, and definitely for the service.

Tried out this breastaraunt for the first time today. I wasn’t impressed at all. The service was just OK, the food wasn’t very good. I had the bacon cheese burger, it was an 8oz burger but it was also 14.00. The meat was fairly juicy(I ordered it medium and it was well done), but the top bun was stale and hard. I don’t recommend the garlic fries because they top them with melted butter before sprinkling on the Parmesan and it made them weirdly soggy, kinda reminded me of popcorn taste. The big kicker is for the ladies, if you don’t want to see a bunch of boobs in your face you should stay away. I have to say I was a bit offended by several of the waitresses. Cleavage is one thing, but ready to pop a nipple out is a bit too far. Not recommended for kids. Wonder if they will ever hire any older ladies or just exploit all the young ones who don’t realize that’s what’s going on.

Located in the old Henry’s on Old Seward between Dimond &76th. The view is FANTASTIC — Hooters in little kilts! Anchorage needed a place like this but it’s probably not a date night destination unless you have a really cool girlfriend or wife. TV’s everywhere so a great place to watch the game! Service is really good — timely, beautiful and professional. Menu has an Irish flare added to your typical sports bar favorites and classic Irish dishes too. I had the Shepard’s Pie and it was very good. The accompanying garlic type bread was delicious. Highly recommend — I’ll be going back for sure!
