Good food and service for a diner type restaurant. We stopped here while traveling. Our experience was great – I had the pork chops and the hubby had the French dip sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were delicious. Salad side was fresh. Not sure why other reviews are poor… we certainly had no complaints.

Good food. Good service. My friends ribs were so big they needed the space of two plates. Salads are wonderful. Delicious French dip sandwiches.

It’s an independently owned greasy spoon. Breakfast is decent, prices are average, a couple out of the box offerings and all of the standard options you’d expect. Nothing really stood out as incredible and nothing really was worthy of complaining about. Notable Highlights: The Joe Joe potatoes, which are a $ 2 upgrade, added sausage and peppers to the potatoes were tasty, but I might warn would be complimentary to some dishes and not so swell with others. My Chile Verde Omelette’s flavors did not pair well with the Joe Joes, but that was my mistake for ordering the two together. More than enough food for the price.

Best small town breakfast place I’ve been to! Food tastes like a home cooked meal in Grandma’s kitchen. Bf got the country skillet with biscuits & gravy, it came huge piled up with goodness. I got the two egg breakfast w/bacon & biscuits and gravy and potatoes too. Everything was so tasty, coffee was good too just ask for the French vanilla creamer :) Our waitress was a sweetheart, took good care of us and not rushy at all. Food took about 15 minutes or so to come out, made fresh to order because those potatoes were on point! Everything came to only $ 29, for two huge meals and coffees… what a steal!

This place is a hit and miss. It’s got some great breakfasts and I love the beef stroganoff there. However, I got the spaghetti here once and actually couldn’t take more than a few bites. My suggestion, for good old fashioned diner food, this is a great stop.

Great food at a reasonable price. First time my wife and I visited and we were both very satisfied. The employees are very friendly and helpful.

So slow service. I waited over an hour. Last time I come here. This was a Perkos. Everything was small and build a burger, extras was more.

An old fashioned diner with friendly service and good home style American food. Priced reasonably. Spicy tortilla soup was not spicy but very good. Mashed potatoes, steak, prime rib, fish and chips were all delicious. A nice meal after a long day in the road.

Took well over the 20 minutes they said to seat us, but there was 7 of us so it’s understandable. But there was 4 young children under 8, that were starving. They squeezed us into two small tables in the middle of the place and right in the servers way. Food took forever and drink refills never happened. Food was good, but not worth the hassle.

Amazing salad and southern sweet tea! Perfect on a hot day. Our waiter Hunter was kind and thorough. He also had no problem answering our questions and didn’t make me feel bad for asking. This was my first time here and my experience makes me want to come back more often!

Let me start with the positive, service was friendly and that’s about it. The booth we were at needed to be burned to ashes, it looked as if it was from a bus stop from the 60’s. I had the roasted turkey open faced dinner. It was ok, my wife had the chicken fried steak which she stated was rubbery and she didn’t touch the broccoli. The broccoli looked as if it should have been tossed out two days ago. Can’t say I would be back.

My family and I have never had a bad experience here, and we’ve been several times. Portions are good, prices are about right, and service has been nice. Have never been there on a busy night, so can’t judge that… but on the whole, this is one of our favorite places to go because of consistency.

Let’s see. I thought about giving it for stars but decided not to. Pros: Big portions(sort of a pro) … Quiet atmosphere… Nice waiters… Food is like a Denny’s but a tad bit better. Awesome meat. Con’s: Pricey. $ 13 for a salad. Takes a long time to get the food(30 – 40 min) only us in there… Salty fries!!! Rubber chicken. Next time I’ll try redding location.

Me and my family enjoy the food and the service at our local humble Joe’s! On top of this the atmosphere is friendly. This used to be called Perkos, but now that is humble joes the food is fresher. The owners are still the same! If you want great service go here all waitresses and waiters are awesome. Katie gave us excellent service!

I tried this place several times recently. I liked it. Breakfasts good and not real expensive. I got mostly specials. I like the 9.99 meals(2−5pm?). Senior drinks just a few cents. Ice cream .99 if with the«happy hours». Many flavors of Dreyers ice cream. CSR

Disappointing. First of all, don’t let the name fool you. «Humble Joe’s» just sounds tacky but they try to call it a «chophouse». It’s a mediocre diner that they are trying to play up with verbiage. Went for dinner one night since we hadn’t yet tried it and I came away saying, «Perko’s was better, also, what were we thinking going there for dinner?!» Everyone knows low-quality diners are reserved for breakfast only. :) I thought HJ’s prices were more on the spendy side for the diner fare that it is. Like I said above, they are masquerading as a «chophouse.» Is that the same as a steakhouse? :/Oh please don’t order a steak here… The food we got didn’t impress and ended up being over $ 30 and that’s WITHOUT beverages. I think I got some sort of «chicken wrap»(a pretty basic, safe choice, I thought) and it was swimming in ranch dressing. The regular patrons who enjoy this place are the very people who love everything drenched in ranch dressing(barf). I prefer quality food that doesn’t need to be masked by high-fat sauces.

It was much better when it was Perko’s. Since the name change and ownership change(?) it has gone so downhill from where it already was, which isn’t good. Food is mediocre at best. Lots of mistakes made by the waitresses. I never choose to come here, and only go when family is going out and has decided on this spot without my input, which is about 3 times a year. Every time it basically sucks. Service sucks and sometimes the waitresses are downright unpleasant or rude in their comments and demeanor. The only reason I gave an extra star is because the breakfasts are good, usually, and the portion sizes are acceptable. Not super great value, and lunches and dinners are not usually the best.

I actually went to the one in redding on hartnell. My husband and I went there last night for the first time and we were really impressed. The services was excellent. Victoria was our waitress and she just made us feel really welcomed and we enjoyed our evening. The food was sooo good. We found a new spot and can’t wait to go back and bring our kids.
