Best biscuits. The cashier was very nice! The air conditioning was very cold. So was the ice water. Good fried chicken

We tried this place when it first opened and the food was absolutely horrible and so was the service, we said we would never eat there again! Well we decided to give them a second chance so we went down there stood in line at the counter for 15 minutes and no one offered to take our order until finally a customer behind us said something to a employee. We told employee we wanted two I have the specials that were on the board in front of us and also on the menu! He told us that special is the last month and we could not have it and was very rude about it. Take my advice and other customers reviews and do not waste your time and money there

This is the worst excuse for chicken I’ve ever seen. The chicken is already cooked breaded and frozen. You’d be better off just going to a grocery store and buying microwave chicken. Please bring back KFC! If you want great chicken go to the Chicken Shack in Redding or go to Safeway or Holiday market. Popeye’s is just plain horrible!

I have ate here with my wife several times. They serve the smallest pieces of chicken I have ever seen. The mac an cheese was terrible. You have to ask for butter and honey for the biscuits da. They need to buy their chickens from same place Costco gets them .The cole slaw has a weird taste too. We wont be back soon.

Really sad business. NO chicken cooked. 20 minute wait minimum for a 12 to 15 people waiting in small groups. Kids working there had no clue… obvious no experience. Not even familiar with the menu. People before us had been standing in order line more than 10 minutes and still hadn’t taken their order. Work that was done was incredibly slow and unorganized. After waiting 15 min and still no order taken even tho we were second in line and many more behind us and staff announced further 20 mom wait for ANY chicken, we left. And while we were there, none of the many customers who had ordered long before we came ever received their orders. Too bad cause popeyes can make some great chicken and sides… but not at this location. Should had stayed a KFC

Cold food, unorganized staff, inattentive staff and a manager that talks so loud the whole store can hear her if I was outside I probably would have still heard her! I have been to other locations that are really doing it up right so I know it should have been better than this.

One of the nicest Popeyes I’ve been to. All of the ones in Los Angeles are old and runned down. Nice people.

Never been to Popeye’s before, so when I saw this one getting ready to open, I was pretty interested in trying it out. I’d heard good things before. As a previous reviewer stated, the reputation is undeserved. We went basic for our first time, just got some chicken nuggets. Yes, it looked like real meat. But each nugget was tiny, and it was more breading than meat, and the breading was rock hard. Bad experience. I tried going again with my mom a few weeks later. Maybe that first batch was just a fluke, right? Nope. This time, we got nuggets, and an order of popcorn shrimp. The nuggets were the same as before, and the shrimp was… almost scary. ROCKHARD breading. TINY shrimp. The meat inside the bread, if you could call it that looked like it was DRIED shrimp inside. Like shrimp that was left in the sun, and shriveled up to become shrimp jerky. For the food we got, it was WAY overpriced, both in quality, and quantity. The ONLY good thing we got was the biscuits, which were AWESOME. Soft, delicious, salty and buttery, not too crumbley. Perfect biscuits. IF we ever go back, all we will be getting is biscuits.

Newly opened at the old KFC location. I’ve never eaten at a Popeye’s before but heard it was pretty good, they lied. Although the staff was generally enthusiastic and cordial the cashier spent the better part of three minutes trying to convince me that I HAD to go on line and complete some stupid survey so that I could be entered in a free drumstick giveaway contest or something and be inundated with hoards of spam emails. I politely told her I couldn’t care less about the survey and could I please have my drink cup. The food was blah… I ordered the 3 piece combo meal which consisted of two drumsticks and a thigh, small container of coleslaw, small biscuit, an extra corn on cob side and a drink for $ 9. EVERYTHING was unimpressive. The chicken pieces were REALLY small… assumedly from Pigmy chickens of some sort with overcooked weird tasting coating; the slaw was barely OK; the biscuit was chewy with no taste and served with a honey packet; the corn was clearly previously frozen(watery and tasteless). No butter available for the biscuit or corn. Considering you can get a WHOLE rotisserie chicken and a pint container of slaw for the same price or the same three piece combo for $ 6 at the Walmart deli I don’t think I’ll be back. I’m not cheap, just hate overpaying for crappy food.
