Food Heaven! Expect to pay a little more for the best. Well worth the cost. The Duck Fries, Seared Scallops and Lollipop Lamb chop appetizers are to die for! The Ribeye Steak entrée with the garlic mash and a side house salad is so delicious. It’s hands down the best steak I have ever had anywhere. The portion size on the appetizers and entrée’s are very generous. The scallops were at least 2 inches across in size a piece and seared to perfection. The ribeye filled over half of the large platter it was served on, cut and trimmed and grilled so skillfully I could cut it with my fork. The searing on the steak brought the taste up more than a notch. Fine dining at it’s best. My favorite restaurant in the area.

This place used to be an old hardware store in the heart of Anderson and is tucked into a larger space… evidently the hardware store was huge. I’ll start w the Food… Jesus himself would have foregone his higher purpose here on earth to taste one of their goat cheese fritters. If you have nothing else, have the goat cheese fritters… for Jesus sake!!! We also got the seared scallops & calamari which was great but not mind blowing. Speaking of mind blowing you have to try the dessert. I had the red velvet cake, but found everything so extra ordinary it was hard to decide. If you ever find yourself lucky enough to be in Anderson make sure you go by. It will be well worth.

Food is great, but it is LOUD! Came here for a quiet anniversary with the hubby and we to just about yell to hear each other. We just stuck with starters and left. When it is louder than my house with 4 kids… it too dang loud.

I have only been to this restaurant once. I keep kicking myself that I haven’t been back. The location is a little odd but they definitely make it work. The service, food, and price were definitely 5 star.

Excellent service, entres were generous, excellent presentation and well prepared. I had the salmon which was paired w a corn cake. Yep sounds off puting but complemented well. Cheesecakes are made by the owner’s wife Room is a bit noisy and busy but wonderful space. An old warehouse saved and renovated years ago. This place is a treasure.

Not many nice restaurants in Anderson are open on a Monday night. So for our anniversary we visited Sullivan’s for our celebratory dinner. We didn’t have a reservation but we were lucky in our arrival time in that we were seated right away. I don’t know if they were short on wait staff but it took quite a while to get our cocktails. The menu had many wonderful choices and based on other Unilocal reviews we chose the Fried Green Tomatoes and the Hush Puppies with Pimento Cheese as appetizers. Both were very good. We could not finish the hush puppies as they were quite large and dense, and drizzled with honey. I ordered the Shrimp and Grits as an entrée which was very rich and delicious, but a very large serving which could easily serve two. I would recommend ordering the appetizer serving. My husband had the Ahi Tuna and said it was quite good. Both entrees came with a nice house salad and warm bread. There was no room for desserts, although they did look amazing. The only complaint I would have is the noise level is very high. The restaurant is in an old town office building with very high ceilings, hard wood floors and is very open. It is lovely, but loud.

Try the goat cheese fritters they are addictive! A little pricey but well worth it for a special occasion. Service is outstanding.

Very unique. The setting is an old hardware store. Ceilings are two floors above with a balcony around the top and at least one good sized banquet room on the second floor. The sky light in the middle is so huge that you need to be mindful of where you sit — the sun is a big factor midday. Floors are hardwood and beautiful. There’s a bar which is settled off to the side in a separate room with very large windows. A lot to see in this establishment — especially if ambiance or décor are your ‘thing’, I’ve been here twice and am as in love with the venue as I am with the food selections. Food selection? Tender, pale fried calamari. Fabulous fried green tomatoes. Duck! Lovely beet salad. She crab soup! All of the entrees were perfect and portions range from big to almost ridiculously huge. But I gotta say that the bar is not good. At least for me. No American Honey. No RumChata. No cinnamon whiskey — no trendy anything. Moscow mule? Moscow what? This place is too fabulous to be sub-par in the bar! But they did make the expensive wine drinkers happy, in fairness…

I went to Sullivan’s tonight for dinner to celebrate a college graduation. Truly an exceptional dining experience all around. We had 14 people in our party and the service was exceptional. I had the fried calamari for an appetizer. It tasted great and the portions were extremely generous. For the main course I had the New York strip. I would rate it one of the top steaks I’ve had and I have eaten a lot of steak in my life. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. It lacked for nothing.

Anderson’s a small city so we’re limited to what we’ve got when it comes to good food. However this place is the exception, and one of the few places to fine-dine in Anderson. My wife and I come here often for dinner.

Went to Sullivan’s for Valentines Day and the service was outstanding! The staff was extremely friendly even though they were super busy and the food was excellent to say the least. Fried Green Tomatoe appetizer rocks!

What a fantastic find! After living in this general area for many years, Sullivan’s is everything I want in a restaurant. The service is top notch, cocktails are generous, food is five-star(goat cheese fritters are fantastic, the duck incredible!), wine list is good and the atmosphere is conducive to conversation. Be sure to make reservations. We had a 6:30 reservation on a Saturday night and the restaurant filled rapidly. I only wish I had known of this restaurant before now!

My wife and I dined at Sullivan’s for the first time this evening. We will definitely be back! The restaurant is located in a beautifully rehabilitated historic commercial building in downtown Anderson. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive. My wife had the tomato basil soup, house salad, and risotto of the day, containing sweet corn and scallions. Meanwhile, I selected the Oysters Rockefeller appetizer, butternut squash soup, and their signature entrée — pan broiled trigger fish with saffron rice topped with sautéed shrimp and scallops and a sherry crème sauce. We could not have made better selections for our meal! Please note that their dessert selection is also incredible, and the co-owner is the pastry chef. Downtown Anderson is rapidly becoming a dining destination, and Sullivan’s is definitely one of Anderson’s best restaurants. We look forward to our next visit.

A wonderful culinary experience. The soups were superb. Side salads were, well, salads. Appetizers were delicious. Entrees were perfectly cooked, side were wonderful. Steaks were perfect temperature, and the lobster risotto was FULL of lobster meat. Cheesecake for dessert was excellent. The waitstaff was friendly and knew the options backward and forward. Wine list was quite impressive. Fairly decent ‘by-the-glass’ selections. If I am in the Anderson area, this is unquestionably my top choice. However, you should expect to pay for the quality.

Tonight was our last evening and dinner with family before heading back home to CA. We were pleasantly surprised. We started off with some appetizers while waiting for few of our family members to join. The appetizer portions were huge. The fried green tomatoes were my favorite, perfectly fried and placed on top of some crunch pickled cabbage and jalapeño slices. It had to be a dozen slices. The hush puppies were meatball size about eight pieces. Husband and nephew enjoyed — it was bit sweet for me. The calamari with the aioli saw was delicious and perfect, again huge portion in a bowl. We had leftovers for the calamari and there was six of us eating. The appetizer filled me up so decided to just pick at my husbands dinner. He ordered the horseradish crusted NY steak that came with bacon wrapped grilled jumbo shrimp placed on top of perfectly roasted fingerling potatoes. The wasabi horseradish salad dressing highly recommend for salad. It was fabulous! The steak perfect and the horseradish crust really added to the flavor and texture of the dish. Other family members ordered the entrée version of the Shrimp and Grits delicious, creamy with jumbo shrimp — had to take home«to go». I think appetizer portion would’ve been adequate. Another family member ordered the rib eye steak which again was perfect along with the chicken fettuccine. The service was excellent — the server was very well versed with the menu and specials and very attentive. I would highly recommend if you want fine dining in Anderson.

I wish there were somewhere better to go to in Anderson. It is the most attractive place, but service is not great. The food is less than mediocre: it is bland and insipid.

Ok food Ok service Probably the best option within 25 miles but that might not be saying much 50% off of the wine list early in the week is the best reason to go Cool bar area Nice atmosphere
