We have planned our staff Christmas dinner here 2 years in a row. The food has always been delicious(especially the salmon) and the service impeccable. They are very efficient, easy to plan event details with and the event room is great!

Really good food, my wife and I go there all the time and consistently bring family and friends from out of town. Fish and chips are my wife’s favorite, I get the big house burger. The potatoes skins are delicious and the Brie cheese appetizer is fantastic. Wait staff is hit or miss, sometimes a little distracted, but overall a great experience.

We stopped in at Conor O’Neill’s on Thanksgiving Eve to catch a special comedy show in their small nightclub-style venue in the separate room behind the bar. Every Thanksgiving, Ann Arbor native and now nationally recognized comic Mike Kosta does a show at Conor O’Neill’s when he flies in from LA to eat turkey with his family. Many of his old friends turn out to see the comic when in town for this annual rite of Thanksgiving. Before the show started, we grabbed a few appetizers for the table including an order of Mary’s Chicken Fingers with their Guinness Honey Mustard Sauce, a plate of Colm’s Calamari with their Spicy Cocktail Sauce and an order of Conor’s Fries. Washing it all down with a few cold craft brews did a great job of readying us for Kosta’s comedy routine. Conor O’Neill’s, in the heart of downtown A-Squared, once again came through with their tasty bar food, cold brewskis and a fun atmosphere with friends… can’t beat it with a stick.

Bunch of twats blocking the door. That was so weird! The night before thanksgiving? Why would they keep people from the bar? Guess they hate fun, which they do. No fun to be had here, no fun at all.

Bog-standard Irish style pub. I have been here several times since my company has an office nearby. Kind of smells like mold and disinfectant inside and every surface is perennially sticky. Which is fine, comes with the name pub I guess. The service has vacillated between friendly and aloof but it gets the job done. Very good Shepard pie, the burger is mediocre. Not much else to say, if you have been to one Irish pub you have been to ‘em all.

I wanted to like Conor O’Neill’s, but I just can’t after a yet another evening of bland, poorly-prepared food and subpar service there. Corned beef and cabbage should be decent in an Irish pub, right? Not so much at Conor’s. The meat was bland and soaking in a pool of white-ish gravy. The accompanying cabbage and carrots were similarly bland and stagnant. My date ordered the Big House Burger, prepared medium well. He received a burnt burger with charred chunks of something(?) on it. Atop the burger were two of Conor’s giant onion rings, the centers of which were filled with gooey, uncooked batter. He took a few bites, then gave up. We waited quite a while for these meals, finally receiving water after about 15 minutes. We watched as the table next to us didn’t receive their beer orders until AFTER they’d finished their meal. This was a replay of a visit to Conor’s about two years ago. If anything, the service has declined since them.

Friday night before a home game on parent’s weekend. We found a nice spot for a group of nine without a problem. The place filled up and it was a fun crowd. One of the most popular spots on Main Street. Despite the crowd the service was quick and the beer selection was good. Great atmosphere, we usually come here anytime we come back.

It’s okay. Some Irish type of foods. Nothing to complain about but if your not drinking its nothing special.

I worked here in college and that was a minute ago… This place hasnt changed a bit and thats a good thing. They have plenty of space for groups. Also, plenty of tables for sitting and munching. I like both things. We stopped through here on our mini-reunion during homecoming weekend. The staff were fantastic and patient with our over 30-trying-to-still-be-coolness. That was not a common theme throughout the weekend but Conor O’Neill’s has it right. Appreciated being back and our crew enjoyed our time here. Worth a stop in. Grab a pint and have a great time, like we did.

Great place for a beer the night before a Michigan game. Definitely a guys bar with lots of beers on tap with rich mahogany bars. Good place for a guys night out, drink a couple car bombs and maybe arm wrestle. Love this place!

Decent enough bar on Main Street. Caters to both the undergrad and graduate crowds. And even some locals. Never actually eaten here, but they make good drinks and they generally play good music. Always had a good time.

I decided to stop here during one of my Ann Arbor bar crawls. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty slow. I sat at the bar and waited for service. A bartender greeted me after a few minutes then came back a few more after that to take my order. They have a decent draft list with plenty of Irish beers to choose from, along with some tasty local craft beer. The atmosphere was alright, but nothing wowed me about the place. I may or may not stop in again. When it comes to craft beers in A2, there are plenty of other more inviting choices.

I went here with a friend on Monday night. We shared the potato skins as an appetizer and absolutely loved that they added the tomatoes(very nice and fresh) after the baking process. My friend had the pork chops(I think) and I had the potato pancake. Our dinners were excellent. A definite plus was the wonderful service we received from Cecilia. She was pleasant and attentive, and got everything right. We’ll definitely come again.

Great everything. I went in around lunch time so it wasn’t very busy. Sat at the bar, good beer, amazing shepherds pie, great salad, all around good vibes. The food did take a while but it came out great. I will definitely be returning.

Went here last night with my partner, my sister, and her boyfriend. Called for reservations but they do not accept them for outdoor seating but luckily, there was a table for four open when we got there. Waitress seemed very preoccupied and scattered — ordered drinks and water, never got water. A second waitress brought us water after bringing the appetizer because we had to ask, again. Never saw any waitress until the meals came out. Turned out to be another completely different waitress. My meal came out a few minutes after everyone else’s. Food was decent. The seafood Shepard’s Pie tasted like concentrate fish flavoring. Corned beef plate was small. Fish and chips comes with a tarter sauce/malt vinegar concoction and I couldn’t understand why not have them separately. Took forever for the waitress to come back with the checks and boxes. It took as long as it did to sit down, get drinks, and order, and eat, as it did to get the check. Maybe it was too busy and the waitress had both indoor and outdoor tables, but come on.

Oh, where to begin. First of all, the décor is nice and the bar is clean and well-kempt. However, service is exceptionally slow and I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something about this place just seems inauthentic, a little off. It doesn’t scream«traditional Irish pub» to me even though the décor and theme certainly seem to suggest that. The ambiance is meh, not fun and laid-back like a real Irish pub. While we were there, the place was half-empty, yet it took 15 minutes to get drinks after our server finally broke free of her conversation with a regular at the bar to come wait on us. After that, she disappeared rather frequently and attended to our table(and others) in a lackadaisical manner from there on out. The food is just average, falling far short of the mark when it comes to traditional«Irish Pub» foods. My fish tasted like it had been frozen, then microwaved and had way too much batter on it while the fries tasted like the freezer. My husband’s sandwich was okay, but nothing special. The selection of beers on tap is not bad, but nothing I wouldn’t expect to find at any self-resecting Irish bar.

Cool bar but had to take off some points for the following * the food was good not great. I got the turkey Ruben and spinach artichoke dip as an app and neither were that impressive. My wife got the portobello burger and it was all bread and a really flat piece of mushroom. My friend got the shepherds pie though and it looked good. *my waiter didn’t know anything about whiskey or what a black and blue was. He was nice though. I think if you work in an Irish pub you should be able to suggest a whiskey or two. Just sayin… * it was really loud and there wasn’t any music going on. I was shouting across the table. And now my throat is sore. Thanks, Obama. I had fun though. Probably would go back for drinks. Not a meal.

Fun atmosphere and very popular. When I went it was very crowded. Which is a good thing, if there are that many people there then you know it must be good.

Meh. It was twenty minutes from seating that we ever got drinks, the appetizer took another 20 and came moments before our meal, and the food was absolutely mediocre. I jinxed myself by telling my dining companion«you can’t go wrong with Irish food, meat and potatoes is always good, even when it’s bad.» Not true. I opted for the Irish Boxty, a potato pancake dish that boasted flavors of parsley and basil. I added corned beef and cabbage. The grilled vegetables it came with entailed exactly one slice of carrot. The boxty itself was insanely salty and had a very strange aftertaste, almost freezer burned taste. The side salad it came with on the plate was served to me nice and hot from sitting under a heat lamp. The prices are decent, but for a meal that cost 50.00+ after tip(two sodas, one appetizer, two entrees) you expect a little more than mediocre. Drink refills were non-existent, but our waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was certainly busy on a Friday evening despite the holidays leaving Ann Arbor a bit quieter than normal, but they allow reservations on OpenTable which I certainly recommend. The menu had delicious sounding dishes, including a good selection of seafood(mussels, salmon) and traditional Irish fare like shepard’s pie. Wings, spinach and artichoke dip, chicken tenders, and fried mushrooms were featured in the appetizers which is appropriate for a bar but kind of a let down to the rest of the more focused cuisine on the menu. This would be a fun place for a drink and appetizers for sure, but I wouldn’t return, I’m afraid. Main Street has too many incredible restaurants that would make the hassle of parking and Ann Arbor traffic feel a bit more worth it.
