Pros: The veggie nachos are the best value deal on the planet The Wolverine burrito is the best burrito I know if in Ann Arbor Service is EXTREMELY fast and hospitable You get free items with every single order– even free entrees like nachos or quesadillas sometimes(Check facebook and hooked) Cons: Wish they had burrito bowls Wish they had rice and beans Overall, food is delicious and it’s a great experience every time.

I could eat the vegetarian nachos with red hot sauce every day of my life, and I do in fact order them most days. HUGE portion that comes with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream for less than $ 5… Best deal on the planet. The tacos are delicious(wish there was a bean, vegetarian version though). My boyfriend devours the burritos(him and all his friends swear they could eat two wolverine burritos a piece — likely not). I love that they usually have a deal on hooked and always have a free item of the day with purchase of a food item, so long as you see the word of the day on their Facebook page. Service is super nice and EXTREMELY fast. Never had it take longer than 10 minutes to make and receive my food. Perfect for the hungry student, discount diner, or just someone looking for some fresh, so-cal Mexican food!

I went in with high hopes. The photos look good, but the taste wasn’t there. The chips and salsa came in a bag that looked like it had been used before. The aftermath of burps created a fear inside me of vomit.

I went in super excited to have some fry nachos. The pictures looked delicious. I dreamed of their soft, luxurious Mexican Michigan flavors. Alas, I was met with a taste that is the way a Steak and Shake bathroom smells. In short, blech.

Ann Arbor has a very saturated burrito restaurant space so it’s important to understand that I am comparing this place with BTB, Panchero’s, and Chipotle. Before going further, ways to save money: –Download their app and make an account with a valid email address to get a free taco. –Check out their Facebook or the Hooked app for daily deals. Get Some Burritos is unique in that you can enjoy a chicken burrito and fries for $ 9. The burritos are a bit unique though as they do not have beans or rice. I personally missed those flavors and found the ‘carne asada’ spice too overpowering. Like most of the other reviews, my food was definitely on the greasier side — if I had a choice, I would go to BTB across the street. However, their staff is very friendly and the selection is definitely unique and reasonably priced.

Went again and had the wolverine burrito and it was pretty amazing. Definitely larger portions than before with more meat and pico de gallo!

It doesn’t really make much sense to go here when BTB is right across the street. The sauces, buritos and prices are all worse here than at BTB. Don’t waste your time/money.

Maybe my hopes were too high, but I wasn’t thoroughly impressed. That could have something to do with the fact that we had our food delivered which, after tip and delivery fee, added at extra $ 10 or so to the total. My boyfriend and I decided to try a variety of items: 1) Tacos: The shells were WAY too oily. That’s all we could taste. Gross. 2) Chicken Quesadilla: Yummy and a good size. 3) Steak Nachos: My bf ate all of them, so that’s a good sign. Bonus: they came with a huge scoop of guacamole. 4) Chicken Burrito: Pretty good, though I wish the guacamole would have been more spread out. I didn’t get to it until I was already 1⁄3 done. 5) Chips & Salsa: Like the taco shells, the chips were super oily. Not impressed. Also, the salsa was tiny. The food was pretty good, overall. I would never order delivery again though.

Do you really want to stop when in a crowd of 114,000? Yes, yes you do. The quesadilla’s are scrumptious, especially when you have had way too much fun on a football Saturday! It is hard to compete with btb’s burritos, but this line is shorter!

To be honest I’m a BTB person and I wasn’t a fan of GSB. I’m not really sure why they put up another burrito place here when there’s a better one across the street. They have hard shell tacos which are greasy and not really my thing.

I moved here last year from San Diego and have been on the hunt for good Mexican food ever since. Chipotle and Qdoba are not acceptable substitutes, contrary to my friends’ suggestions. I’m so glad I found Get Some Burritos, because this is as close as you’ll get to SoCal Mexican in the Midwest. I ordered the carne asada fries. I wasn’t expecting miracles, but to my surprise, they were pretty good for non-California Mexican food. These are definitely higher quality carne asada fries like from your favorite hole-in-the-wall taqueria, not so much like the disgustingly delicious, fast food carne asada fries of Santana’s/FreshMXN. The meat was cooked well and had almost a sear to it. Lots of flavor. The fries were also nice and crispy. There was a good fries: meat:pico ratio, too. I took off a star because I wish there were different hot sauces to choose from, and the guacamole was just ok — although given that it’s winter, I guess I can’t really blame GSB. I got a free flauta for knowing the«word of the day» from their Facebook page, and that was pretty good too, but very greasy; it made me a little nauseous later. The price was great — about $ 7 for a full plate of fries that I couldn’t finish in one sitting. The cashier also gave me a frequent buyer punch card and reminded me to like them on Facebook for more free deals. I will definitely be coming back!

The food here is excellent. Carne Asada fries are fantastic! So glad to have good SoCal Mexican in the area.

This place is disgusting. Last night, I ordered a chicken quesadilla and I am having serious trouble remembering if it even had cheese on it. The chicken was mysterious and purple on the inside, and my friend got food poisoning from eating it. I’ll make sure to Get Some Burrito from another place next time.

Coming from Houston, TX, I’ve eaten an abnormal amount of burritos. This is by far the best and most authentic in A2

I’m new to Ann Arbor so I’m looking for new places to try and discover. I got a carne burrito after a very long day at work. It was well worth it. Every bite was delicious! I especially love how the guac is included. I will be coming back.

Got the Pollo asada burrito which was AMAZING. the chicken was soft and tasted as though sautéed with onions and olive oil and herbs. We also got the Carne asada fries which were good. Beef was a little tougher but the melted cheese, salsa, guacamole and sour cream made up for it. Yum.

Overall a solid burrito. I had the wolverine which was good, and I knew the word of the day which got me some free chips and salsa. I found the prices a little high for a little hole in the wall place… almost $ 10 for just my burrito… but the food was fresh and tasty. They even made their chips fresh… so props for that! Somewhat surprisingly, this place is also quite clean and has places to sit… so that’s a bonus.

If I could give Get Some Burritos 4.5 stars, I totally would. With that said, I know what your thinking, another burrito place in A2. While you may be right with that sentiment, there is no doubt that GSB does a good job of differentiating itself from the other competition in the burrito game. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about GSB from the reviews, but my curiosity was rewarded with what might be my favorite if not one of my favorite burrito places in A2. Despite being a high traffic area, it seems as though the little strip on which GSB is found has high turnover and places there never seem to last(I believe it was a Chinese place prior), but I can’t tell you how much I hope that GSB ends up being the exception. What separated GSB from the other burrito places in A2 was the flavoring of the meat. I tried both the carne asada and the pollo asada and both were great. Places like BTB, Qdoba, and Pancheros don’t seem to heavily flavor the meat, which I then find to make the burrito more on the bland side, regardless of what else is inside of it. I would assimilate GSB more to Chipotle, which seems to marinade or more liberally season their meat. The steak and chicken were both literally bursting with flavor and were up to my standard in terms of tenderness. The pico and guac inside was good, but the meat was definitely the star of the show. My only gripe was that it wasn’t the biggest burrito I’ve ever had, but that might have to do with the fact that they don’t use filler such as rice and beans. Overall, I’d say if you have the itch to check out GSB, do it, and you won’t be disappointed. On a semi-related note I don’t think RS’s review fairly portrayed GSB. I feel like if RS had an issue with the marketing of GSB, they should have privately contacted GSB and discussed their concerns opposed to giving them 1-star and posting a review which doesn’t mention one thing about their experience with the food itself(which, correct me if I’m wrong, is the purpose of Unilocal). Maybe I’m just sticking up for the perceived underdog, but I wouldn’t let RS’s review deter you from trying it yourself and coming to your own judgement on the issue.

I ate here a couple days ago with my boyfriend, and the food was fine. I would say it was good for the price, I think I paid around $ 7 for chicken nachos and a fountain pop(pepsi products, unfortunately). I think they could make the food a lot better by stocking some different and better hot sauces, both the green and red sauce that came with my nachos were pretty underwhelming. I mean, this place seems like a good standard place for poor college students. You can get some slightly nutritious food for a couple bucks, and it doesn’t necessarily taste like you only spent a couple bucks. Also, it is probably because they just opened but the food was sloooow to come out. We ordered one chicken nachos and one chicken burrito, and it took over 20 minutes with no orders ahead of us! Overall though, I’m just glad there is an alternative to BTB in the area… the last time I got food from BTB I bit down on a black-bean-sized rock and almost chipped my tooth. Oh and I didn’t see any trace of the sexist signage the other reviewer mentioned… perhaps they took it down after seeing the negative feedback.
